I bought this as a gift to replace a Columbia fleece. It does not appear to be thicker per se, but it is so much warmer!!! Love it!!

Cute style but too snug. I fit in a medium in most other North Face jackets but this one was unflatteringly tight around my tummy. Love the soft polar fleece, but not the right jacket for me.
