These are great pants. I bought a pair last summer and they fit perfectly- then and now. I bought another pair a couple of weeks ago and they're too tight. I read the labels closely. Item number is the same. But last summer's purchase was manufactured in Indonesia, and the recent purchase was made in Vietnam. I don't know if a change in manufacturer is the cause, but there is a big difference. So beware. These run smaller than they did last year.

This is my second pair of the pants. Got a Medium 30" and they are huge compared to my first pair of these multisports. they fit more like a large, very large. I laid the new pair out and got my first pair and compared. the waist is at least 2" wider than my first pair and extreme;y baggy. I was think of trying to wash in hot water to see if they will shrink, but thought why go through this for a brand new pair of pants to "try: to get them to fit. Extremely disappointed.

Look, I love the idea of the pant. But when I find a foot long thread every time I take them off and put them back on I find it hard to believe in any sense of quality.

I was thinking this item would be similar to your discontinued venture soft stretch pants. They are nothing like them.

Too baggy. Not LL Bean quality. Way too expensive for what you get.

I don't like to post negative reviews but I do it only to give feedback to LLBean. I wanted a light summer pair of pants to wear them every day. BUT ... with out the string tight my pants would not stay around the waist. It needs loops and belt to fix that. For men two rear pockets are needed and a zipper please. The worst part are the low leg cords. I have never used them until about a month ago. Once I made it tighter (to avoid ticks) now I can't loosen them. I was at the main store in Freeport and ask a sales person how does one loosen them and she said "press the button inside the hem" in my case my pants have no "pushable" button inside the hem. Why all this complication??? LLBean you can do better than that. Sorry I don't care about returning it but I am very disappointed about this purchase. What happened to the old LLBean

hi LLBean - i have noticed a decline in the quality of your products. Rag wool (stretchable) socks, a fleece vest and these lightweight pants - are all poorly made. Socks got a hole in them a month or so after wearing. fleece has begun to bunch up and shed and the pants are just poor in quality and really not worth the price i paid for them. Whats going on? I know u are not manufacturing most products in the U.S. which is understandable to some extent as the economies of scale don't support American jobs and manufacturing bases. but at least choose good partners in Asia, Latam. Monitor them and stop cutting costs! brgds, Siddhartha in Evanston, ILL

I purchased these pants for my husband. He wears a size medium and has a 30 inch inseam. Therefore, I purchased a Medium 30. The pants are about 1.5 to 2 inches too long. Not true to size. The length of the pants are not as described. Do not recommend unless customer goes to store to try on.

I bought three pairs as well as the shorts for my son. They look nice and the fit is great, however after only few months they started showing signs of tear and one of the pants is already ripped. The thread gets easily caught if you sit on even slightly rough ground. They are not good for heavy use and their price does not reflect their quality.

These pants ran small for me. I typically wear a 38" waist pants. I ordered XL in these pants because I wanted a loose fit. The pants barely fit my waist and the hips are tight. The size chart lists XL as 40-42. I'm not so sure a person with a 42" waist could wear an XL in the pants I received. The inseam was good. The fabric is light.

Rise WAY too low/short. Because I had them shortened before realizing I could not wear them, I had to give them away to charity. Somebody who can handle a low rise should be pretty happy with such an otherwise good quality product.

These are very comfortable, but within weeks of buying them I noticed there was already a flaw (pulled thread) in the fabric. It isn't like they were used in any difficult setting -- mostly just around the house and neighborhood. I like the fit and comfort, but thinking of returning them due to the poor quality of the material - definitely NOT what I'd expect from Bean.

My husband loves these pants and would like to keep them, but there are vertical and diagonal creases all over the pants when you take them out of the package. We assumed they would come out with washing and drying them, but they have not. I've washed and dried them 3 times (see photo) and the creases are still there. They must have formed when the pants were first packaged after manufacturing - the normal creases that form in folded clothing. Except these appear to be permanent. We bought the Driftwood and Loden color in these pants and had the same problem with both of them. We returned them for two new pairs in the same colors in the hope that they wouldn't have creases, but they did - and they wouldn't come out. I've also tried hanging them in the shower, but that didn't work. They say no iron, dry cleaning, or fabric softener, so I'm not sure what else to do. Has anyone here been able to get out the creases? If so, how did you do it? My husband would love to be able to keep these pants if we can get them out.

The pants shrunk on the first wash and the length that was to be 28 became almost 26. In addition, the waist was too large and the fabric was heavier than I expected. If you want 28 lengths, order 30 and order one size smaller than you think you need.

Nice pants but neither the Medium or Small fit. Medium to large in the waist and small is too tight in the seat. Returned both.

I bought these thinking they were a tan color going by the picture on the website only to receive them as a dark gray. Not what I wanted. Then the 2 t-shirts I ordered are back ordered until end of May. I did not get any notification of this I had to try and track them to find this out. I'm not happy with LL Bean and will no longer be ordering from them.

I got several pair of these pants as a gift. I am 5'8", 165 lbs. I can't tighten these pants well enough to fit me. Add a wallet and phone and they droop. I added an aftermarket cord lock so now they at least stay up, but you can do better than these pants easily

I was really happy until the elastic band in the heal area broke! $70 for a pair of worthless nylon pants. Very disappointed

Got like this, but with different Item Number (514097), for Christmas. Draw string is made from a slippery material and does not hold. I can double bow tie and the first time I bend over the bow slips and I can feel pants starting to slide down. My work around was to bungee cord ball to hold up pants. They do not slip anymore
