My husband loves these pants and would like to keep them, but there are vertical and diagonal creases all over the pants when you take them out of the package. We assumed they would come out with washing and drying them, but they have not. I've washed and dried them 3 times (see photo) and the creases are still there. They must have formed when the pants were first packaged after manufacturing - the normal creases that form in folded clothing. Except these appear to be permanent. We bought the Driftwood and Loden color in these pants and had the same problem with both of them. We returned them for two new pairs in the same colors in the hope that they wouldn't have creases, but they did - and they wouldn't come out. I've also tried hanging them in the shower, but that didn't work. They say no iron, dry cleaning, or fabric softener, so I'm not sure what else to do. Has anyone here been able to get out the creases? If so, how did you do it? My husband would love to be able to keep these pants if we can get them out.

The pants shrunk on the first wash and the length that was to be 28 became almost 26. In addition, the waist was too large and the fabric was heavier than I expected. If you want 28 lengths, order 30 and order one size smaller than you think you need.

Blew out the stitching in the crotch after one month of light hiking and mostly gym climbing. A lot of the stitching is exposed single thread. Not very durable.

I returned the pants for a different size and instead of the exchange I was given a refund minus a fee. The product is very good. Sadly, I was never able to utilize it. Shall not re-order consequently.

Generally, I like LL Bean clothes a lot. These pants, however, missed on a few metrics: 1) pockets too shallow, cell-phone does not easily fit; 2) pocket zippers scratch hands; 3) ties are too short because you need to knot them at ends so string doesn't get stuck inside; 4) crotch fits weird. So no, I wouldn't recommend them.

Nice pants but neither the Medium or Small fit. Medium to large in the waist and small is too tight in the seat. Returned both.
Disapointed,

At the current price; too much for lightweight "imported" sweatpants.

The good: stretched well, moved with legs and stretching.
The bad - fabric too flimsy, tacky fake back pocket stitching, quality not up to par.
Bought three pairs (different colors), will be sending all back. Overpriced by triple.

For athletic pants, the LL Bean "Standard" fit rise is too low for someone of my height. Exercize pants should be about fit and comfort, and less for appearance. I felt that I would be continually tugging and pulling pants up.

I would love these - exactly what I've been looking for - but it doesn't have a fly button or zipper. Last thing I want to do is untie the drawstring and pull my pants down to urinate. Seems every designer just assumes everyone wants a casual pant without a fly.

Does not fit as well as I thought it would. Did not like the material and the bracket at bottom of each ankle.

I bought these thinking they were a tan color going by the picture on the website only to receive them as a dark gray. Not what I wanted. Then the 2 t-shirts I ordered are back ordered until end of May. I did not get any notification of this I had to try and track them to find this out. I'm not happy with LL Bean and will no longer be ordering from them.

I got several pair of these pants as a gift. I am 5'8", 165 lbs. I can't tighten these pants well enough to fit me. Add a wallet and phone and they droop. I added an aftermarket cord lock so now they at least stay up, but you can do better than these pants easily

I was really happy until the elastic band in the heal area broke! $70 for a pair of worthless nylon pants. Very disappointed

Got like this, but with different Item Number (514097), for Christmas. Draw string is made from a slippery material and does not hold. I can double bow tie and the first time I bend over the bow slips and I can feel pants starting to slide down.
My work around was to bungee cord ball to hold up pants. They do not slip anymore
