I am retired and live a very casual life. I brought a pair of these pants several years ago. I have since added 5 more pairs and they are the only pants that I wear.

I like these pants both for hiking and general walking around. Shed water and if they do get wet they dry fast.

Fits comfortably with room for movement in the legs. once they were wet I did not feel weighed down as you would feel with cotton. The material dries quickly after four hours in the rain once inside out of the elements. I did not zip off the legging.

I bought this pant for hiking with high expectations based o n prior experience with Bean and the buyer reviews. Upon arrival, I put them on on a very humid Texas morning and went for an hour long hike. The fit is great, particularly for us stocky type. Striding, bending and stretching are easy and unencumbered; love the gusseted crotch. Back at the house, my cotton shirt was soaked from sweat, but the pant was not. Pockets are consistent with the intent of the pant design-- any more or bigger pockets would encumber the stride. Recommend.

I needed a new pair of pants for a 2 week or so trip to Japan. As much as I hate artificial fabric, I thought I would give these a shot. These fit the bill. They were comfortable and did not look like camping gear. The held up and did not show the grime of travel. I forgot I was not wearing 100% cotton. Though they got fairly damp traipsing through Tokyo in the rain, they dried out in the hour or so it took me to get to the airport. If I needed another pair, I would not hesitate to order again.

Nice, vastly improved over a previous iteration. Leg pocket zippers are sewn in now instead of glued. Lightweight, company, a bit stretchy but not too much, dry quickly when wet, zippered rear pockets, side pockets big enough for a phone. Thanks for listening to feedback n making these better.

A few months ago I purchased a pair each of Cresta hiking pants, fleece lined pants, and convertible pants. They are all excellent pants so far, used for hiking, camping, outdoor work, and outdoor use in general. They are also good looking enough to wear out to dinner. The zippered back pockets are secure, which is an advantage over some other similar hiking pants. The snap front closure seems more durable than sewn-on buttons.

I gifted these pants to my son-in-law on his birthday. He reports that they fit well, are comfortable, and he likes wearing them for working around home, yard, and going on short runs in the cooler spring weather upstate NY.

These are great hiking and general outdoor wear. They look good enough to wear for every day. I like the zippered pockets, particularly the rear pockets where I keep my wallet. I have two pairs and will probably get a third. The only thing I would change is the addition of two more belt loops. I feel like five are not sufficient for hanging belt mounted items. A competitors equivalent have 8 belt loops.

This is my third Cresta hiking pant ( I have two Cresta hiking shorts, as well) over the past 10 yearsall are still in use ( testament to their durability). The material is light, yet robust. They are great on the trail, groomed or otherwise, on mountainous terrains, on rocks and even in town. They have taken some hefty punishment, yet still hold up. They are roomy and stretchy enough for full articulation under most conditions. This latest iteration replaced mesh pocket liners with full fabric- a good addition because keys and other items would get snagged. I like that they fit below the waist on the hips, so a shorter inseam was necessary for me. The only improvements, in my view , would be slightly tapered legs which would improve the profile and replace the plastic- like seal around the front zippered pockets.

I've worn these hiking pants out on multiple adventures and find them to be very comfortable on the trail. I have room to move without binding or being restricted. The fabric breathes well while protecting me from winds and brush. Even when I got a little sweaty, they didn't cling to me like past experiences with other pants.

These pants are comfortable, breathable, and tough. I use them for strenuous hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains and for walking my dog in warmer weather. I've also worn them shopping.
