The fit is good. The fabric feels great. But it catches and the threads pull very easily so after spending over $100 and wearing it once, now I can only wear it around the house.

I have several Smartwool sweaters, base layers and socks and have never had a problem with quality. I bough this in grey and dark blue. The material is really thin and the grey one has snags on it after one wear and I wasn't around anything to snag it. I will be returning both as the quality is not what I expect

I ordered my usual size small and it was just a bit large prior to washing and now it fits perfect. So comfy and a flattering fit. This is just mid-level warmth. Perfect for the office, going out, or around the house. I would not wear this for skiing or other outdoor activities as there are warmer Smartwool options. Please offer more color choices!

This piece is great for going from a hike to a business meeting. I bought the size recommended on the size chart and it fits perfectly. I was sad that I got a tiny snag in the knit the first time I wore it (from a wicker basket), so it's a bit too delicate for yard work and laundry baskets.

Got this a few days ago. It feels comfortable and fits well. I have worn it twice and there are already two snags that created holes. It's really not durable and imo not worth the price for the quality.

I love this top but will be returning it as it pulls very easily. I wore it once and both sleeves have pulls. I was not wearing anything else that would have caused the pulling.

Wear this top for casual and hiking. As other reviews have said - you do have to be careful not to snag. That said, it looks and feels great! I had four from prior year and liked well enough to buy another.

The negative reviews that say this top snags are NOT wrong. However, the benefits far out way that one problem. I already owned four when I purchased this one so was aware that I would need to use some caution. BUT it is lighter, softer and dressier than the other Smartwool long sleeved tops so it is perfect for home, office, going out, etc. It does run large. In any other base layer I would be a small or in some cases a medium. The xsmall was perfect as it didn't hug my body too tight - just a more relaxed fit. Love it and would buy more if they come up with more colors.

Every day wear and Hiking. Cozy and warm, one of my favorite shirts. I like to wear my clothes, a little oversized. And the shirt fits the bill

I have several of these tops already - have to have back-ups just in case! and I keep buying more in new colors! They can dress up or down so well!

Wore this for the first time as a mid-layer for an early morning birding jaunt on a cold and blustery day. Not a great day for birding but I was toasty warm and comfortable. Highly recommend.

I have 3 and I like to wear one everyday, except I have to wash them. They are comfortable and they keep me toasty as the weather is changing.

This shirt is a nice addition to my other Smartwool shirts. Because of the ribbing- it is warmer and seems more like a light sweater. It is very comfortable and provides a nice in between from a shirt and a heavier sweater.

Worn either as a standalone light sweater or as a layer under something else, lightweight and cozy.

I love the warmth, without being bulky, this soft merino wool knit is so comfortable.

I bought this wool shirt along with some other layering peices for an upcoming trip that has a limit on the luggage I can bring. It has washed beautifully and is nice and soft.

Love the soft, loose ribbing. Super great for everyday wear as well as travel and hiking. Washes beautifully. Typical Smartwool quality. This is the second I have purchased and would buy more if more colors are offered.

Exactly what I was hoping for in a winter wardrobe staple! I'm sure I'll reach for it often. I usually wear a small or size up to a medium for a more relaxed fit, and the medium is perfect. It seems to be nice and warm but breathable, and I bet would make a great base layer for every day or for any outdoor activity. I haven't run in it yet, but I plan to give it a try!

I'm waiting for cooler weather to wear this but my first impression is that I'll enjoy it and possibly buy additional colors. The fabric is slightly thicker than a base layer but thinner than a wool sweater. I plan to wear it alone and also layer under a heavier garment. I'm 5'4", 122lbs, and wear a size small. It fits as described--regular (not snug). The sleeves are a little long (as shown in the photos) but not an issue.
