These are fantastically light, soft, yet responsive. Only issue really is lockdown. It's constant balance and re-adjustment between foot sliding or sort top of foot from tieing tight enough to not slip. The lugs are kind of shallow so not too great in mud and they are extremely slippery on wet rocks. 1mm more on lugs and a padded tongue or lacing system to lock you down without too much pressure on top of foot and these would be all you ever needed!

I've ran in Salomon for the last 10 years, but recently wanted to try something different. I tried the Endorphin Edge and LOVE them! The toe box is roomy, the ride is smooth with a quick turn over, and feel great on my feet. Right out of the box I ran a 50k with no blisters, foot pain or anything to complain about. I have purchased three additional, pairs because they have been great for everything. The only complaint is the durability. I'm getting about ~200 miles per paid before the soles have started to come apart and/or foam has come off the midsole. Overall, they are an amazing shoe and I will continue to buy more.

Not the prettiest shoe, exceptionally comfortable and functional.

This is very nice shoe, but I've found it doesn't quite have the magic of the endorphin speed. I'm finding no benefit of the plate as one might expect. Compared to my endorphin speed where the liveliness of the plate gives back some bounce that you lose from the robustness cushioning, with the Edge my toes sink in just a bit on every step and give me that running in the mud feeling I get from overly cushioned shoes. As with other Saucony shoes, the fit is great, and I've found the vertical roominess of the toebox to be a pleasant change, and the lacing system is cool. However, the hefty price tag isn't justified for a shoe that needs to be reworked. Hopefully the next version will take more cues from it's endorphin speed and endorphin pro cousins. In the meantime, I'll stick with the Peregrine 13 and Hoka Torrent 2 on the trails.

Best of the Saucony trail shoes I've tried them all. Just the right amount of cushion and drop without being wobbly or stiff, great toe room, nice and light, seems to dry out faster than other endorphin road shoes, excellent traction, and durable (thus far). Lacing could use a little improvement, hoping for some more (earthy?) colors. Coming from Lone Peaks and Exodus.

Bought them to deal with Canadian winters and definitely stood the test! Great traction and fast

Very good trail shoe. Love the cushion and overall feel. The outsole tread is great. One issue I have and reason for my 4 stars is that on fast curvy roots and rock downhills it is not that stable. Probably because of the narrow outsole on the tall stack (at least for me). For more forgiving flatter trails the shoe is up there with and better than most, I have tried many different brands so I do have experience, decided to try this shoe because I love the Endorphin road shoes. So with the stability concern on steep technical trails I cannot give it a 5. One more positive is that this is a great transition shoe, I often run a couple of K's on pavement before I get to the dirt and this shoe is actually really good on the hard stuff.

The comfort is spot on and it is just as bouncy as it's first mile as it was at its 36th mile. The traction is pretty bad though. For what you are paying for the shoe, it's shocking that it doesn't have vibram megagrip.

These are bad. I walked 6 miles early Saturday morning on a trail. My feet were extremely tired and burny. I like cushion and the previous pairs I 've ordered (Endorphin 3) provided that cushiony comfort. These shoes feel like wooden boards were placed inside. I would have returned them but decided to use for bike riding when my feet barely hit the ground. I rode Sunday with the shoes and had no issue.

I bought these shoes about 6 months ago. I was stoked with them right out of the box. Incredibly fast and light-a great race day shoe! However, they don't last. They deteriorate quickly on rough, technical trail like we have here in Santa Barbara. The upper began to show minimal wear after about 150 miles (small holes). The outsole is where I was most concerned. The tread began wearing down significantly after about 100 miles, and as I approached 200 miles, large pieces our outsole began ripping off exposing the carbon and foam cells. The PWRTAC gives good grip for a while, but simply doesn't hold up. There are better options. At one dollar a mile they aren't worth the investment.

I'm about 50 miles in with the shoe. It's a great shoe but like others have said the grip and stability is not the greatest (especially for its price point) when running on rocky technical terrain. My buddy has the hoka speed goats and his tread/grip is a better design. I loved the grip on my peregrine 12 but the cushion is not there for longer miles. I still love the endorphin trail shoe speedy decent cushioning

I bought a pair about a month ago. I found the shoe was not quite true to size (owning 10 pairs of Saucony now, all the same size) and I needed to return. Order 1/2 down, due to the length. Break in went well and I felt that the shoe was essentially ready for racing/long distances out of the box. I hoped to give this shoe a 5 star but some of the concerns meant I could only give it 3.5 (default to 4) stars at this time. Pros: light shoe, overall fit was pretty good once the sizing was correct and the shoe was stiff enough for what I like in the trails. Overall the shoe felt fast. Cons: the lacing has been challenging. No matter how I laced (various racer loops styles), the heel would have some slipping which I haven't solved yet. During a race, I had to stop several times to adjust the lacing as they would loosen up a bit (possibly still breaking in) or I had them a bit too tight around the ankle. Had to replace one shoe to fit a power pod as the original lacing didn't allow the proper placement of a pod. -durability is questionable after 4 runs where there are chunks missing out of the foam sides from normal Trail use in the woods. -stability is a bit nerve racking but this is possibly my issue of not being used to a taller stack height. I had some minor ankle rollers and felt not sure footed on technical terrain and downhills. -traction was acceptable on hard packed terrain that wasn't too technical. During my race last week, there was a bit of moisture in the short grassy and dirty (a bit of mud) sections and the shoes were a struggling. I could feel my feet slide, also laterally at times. This meant I could not push as hard as I have in other similar trail shoes. Overall, I'm content with the shoe but some of the concerns mean it's not my top racing shoe at this time. A little irritating that not all produced colors were available in Canada.

This should not be a trail shoe. It is an extremely unstable shoe. I hurt my ankles several times. These are real ankle twisters and I rolled my ankles in them several times! Other than that, they look good, the cushioning is fine, so if you just go on a fast, none technical, fire road, these could be okay but i would not wear them on anything steep, or rocky, technical. The quality if fine but the sole does wear very fast!

In the month I've had them I've gone out for 3 runs, 12 miles, 16 miles, and 20 miles. They have not held up well at all. 48 miles in they have chunks of the sore missing the sole is tearing away from the toe already. Granted I am running on Montana mountain trails so I will give them a little bit of leeway but it's meant to be a trail shoe. I would only recommend these if you're running on packed dirt trails. The materials are too soft to hold up to any sort of rocky terrain. Love the color options available but does not suit my uses.

I was really excited about this shoe after reading/watching a number of positive reviews. I did come across one review that mentioned that ankle support wasn't the best. It turned out that this is true, at least for me. The ankle support isn't great and I don't feel locked down in the shoe. This shoe might be good for simple flowing trail running, but anything remotely technical made me feel unsupported and could roll an ankle easily.

I loved the endorphin shoes. They were my favorite new shoe for last year. They were pure butter on my feet (speed and pro's). I was so excited as I finally got a saucony that was going to be lighter weight and responsive on the trail. I ordered the new peregines and the edge. The new peregines are great, but still a little heavier than I like. They are now in my rotation. The Edge, we're quite frankly terrible. Both of my ankles rolled so bad that it hurt to walk the next day and I have resilient ankles. I can roll my ankles no problem and normally not have problems after 25+ years on the trail. I'm going to try them one more time on a less technical trail to see what happens (and maybe they are meant for less technical trails), then make a decision on returning.

I absolutely love the Endorphin line of shoes so I had to buy the Edge when it came out recently. Unfortunately, the Edge doesn't fit quite like the rest of the lineup. The toe box on this shoe is larger than that on the Endorphin Pro and Endorphin Speed. I just completed a 20+ mile trail run and my foot moved too much inside the shoe, especially on downhills. So, if you are like me with a somewhat narrow foot and don't like a spacious toe box, this shoe might not be for you.

Just bought this week, speedy delivery, shoe is comfy but for non technical trails, like really nothing technical, i wore those for the first time yesterday and twisted my ankle 3 times, shoe is not stable at all compared to the peregrine. Toebox has room but my big toe touches the front. Careful with those shoes, i swear by the Peregrine, i have the 10,11 and 12ST but i dont recommend those Endorphin Edge for trail running

Have had these shoes for a few months and have to retired them. They are EXTREMELY unstable. Should not be a trail shoe. Running in Arizona desert trails I have almost snapped my ankle way too many times, had to end workouts early because I rolled my ankle so badly etc. avoid these shoes if you are running on technical trails.

Wanted to love the shoe. Fast, light, and comfortable shoe. Upper is excellent. Great tread. Stability issues with ankles. Rolled ankle twice in 6 miles. Would be better for non technical terrain.

I gave these an honest try. Put 31 miles into them. Found them to be wildly unstable and suitable for only the flattest, most well-groomed carriage roads, at which point you might as well be wearing road shoes.

I really wanted to like these shoes, but there are some fatal flaws that I've only encountered with this shoe. I've been running for 30 years and this is a first. My review is only based on my experience. Others might find these shoes perfect for them. The heels are the problem and it comes down to 3 things: 1. The heels are narrow and rounded 2. The heel cup doesn't hug the heel very well 3. The foam is very bouncy The result of these things: hyperextended/sprained ankles. I got two minor sprains and 5 hyperextensions in 4 runs. Had to stop wearing them all together. Bummed as I hoped they would work out well.
