Comfort and function for arthritic feet and toes; also good looking so most people won't know it's a trail shoe

I got these for hiking in the woods with the dogs. I haven't done that yet, but when I tried them on all I could think was I could wear these all day! And I love the colors on the purple one!

First-time Ryka buyer, have had less than a month. Attracted by female-specific design descriptions. I started buying trail-type shoes several years ago as support to counter metatarsal issues for walking and daily wear and for mostly light trail use. Some other favorite brands have left the trail shoe market or are in short supply. I have been dismayed to discover more shoes designated as unisex - sometimes hidden or sometimes seemingly as an asset. Was more than put off that so very many Ryka reviews were from comp'd users, but took a chance after several weeks contemplation. Had to return the first pair surprisingly for a larger size., but they do fit well. No apparent specific metatarsal support, but that doesn't seem to be an issue. I will be glad to see ridiculous white soles leave the trail shoe market since t live in red dirt country, but the speckled look helps some with other maintenance requirements. If I had waited a few weeks longer, I could have selected a a color profile that wasn't such a carnival of bright colors, but I do like the bright, clear colors individually.

I have a wide foot so I ordered a 7W and they fit perfectly! They have a lot of cushion and are like walking on a cloud!

I love the way these shoes look- but they are a bit tighter in the toe than I expected. I ordered a half size smaller than usual as suggested, but perhaps that wasn't necessary for me. Still, I kept the shoes and I'm hoping that they'll stretch at least a little!

Not Water Resistent at all! Just walking through some dewy grass in the morning, my socks are soaked. The treads pick up and hold so much dirt and it's difficult to get it all out so my car is a perpetual sandbox. For the price of these I am really, really disappointed.

Shoes quality is ok, not as expected as other brand shoes I had. Anyhow, when my feet is getting sweaty, the shoes can't breath so feet doesn't get dried.

I have tried A LOT of trail shoes and these are not the best. Honestly the foot pad by the toes needs to be wider at the base for more surface contact. And the insert has an uncomfortable bump of cushion on the outside of the foot arch. It feels like it forces my arch to tilt down and inward, bothering my knees about 3 miles in and rubbing the bottom of my feet raw.
