These insect repellent garments are very nice and definitely effective against bug bites. Tested in the evenings/dusk on walks.Its great not having to be covered in bug spray! My only wish/negative for these hooded pullovers. 1. Would be to add some kind of pockets either in the front or sides. 2. The hood also has no drawstring. I have a similar hooded "bugs away" pullover from Exofficio that has a small pocket(not great) but has the drawstring which is a nice bonus. I have numerous articles of clothing from LL that I love and would definitely buy more of the insect shield products from them. Especially if the tops had these additions. The top is 5 stars on it effectiveness! Just missing a couple features to Make it perfect.

This is a hoodie and is well made but cut a little slim, so I ordered a size up. The material is not as thick as a rugby shirt. That being said, it does work for me now and I suspect will get good wear as we move into the summer months with cooler evenings at the coast. Part of why I bought it was the insect shield. It seems to work but do not expect miracles.

I don't know if this product works or not. Haven't used it yet. My fit was good and I like the color. Eager to use it outdoors. HOWEVER Be very careful when you wash this. I put it in with like colors (as the label says) but then it was dried on high heat (label says low heat) with a big batch of our family's clothes. Now our clothes smell like what ever this shirt smells like. It's not a terrible smell but it's there. It's going to take several washes (I hope) to get rid of it. But it's currently baked into my toddler's clothes and my wife's pajamas. Maybe best to wash and dry this separately.

I am unsure whether this really repels mosquitos, but the main thing you should know is that it is much heavier (thicker) than I expected. This is billed as something to wear on summer evenings when the bugs are out, but unless you're in a cool climate you may find this way too warm a garment. I am in Cincinnati, which gets warm and humid, but certainly not as bad as some places, and I find it too heavy when it's about 70 or higher. This is more appropriate for 65 degrees or so.

I got this as a gift, I loved the fit it is slimmer fitting. The problem was the hood. It was way too loose and drove me crazy. I hate having flies in my hair so not being able to use the hood was a deal breaker. I returned it today. It was so close to being 5 stars but the hood just took away from it.

Nice lightweight material, well constructed. The sizing is off by a full size.
