This pullover is a wonderful product, lightweight and very comfortable, good for a broad range of weather/heat. Thank you for continuing your legacy of making many products in TALLS! One thing that I would ask LL Bean to change is to get rid of "marsupial" pockets in their pullovers of every kind. They "poof" out when sitting tend to drop contents. We are not koala bears or Kangaroos. Just one subtle breast pocket for a cellphone is all that is needed. Thank you - JM in CT

My husband would have given this 5 stars but after 3 months of wear the band at the bottom of the sleeve simply unraveled. He loved it so much we returned it and got another hoping that it wouldn't unravel again. He's hoping I'll get him another for his Birthday., just waiting to see if that was a hopefully a one time defect.

I bought for husband. This is very slim fitting, but he seems to like it. Wish it were longer in the arms.

This would be a 5-star, however, the next to top button is defective and won't latch. I'll have to return the item, not a big of a deal, I hope.

This is a very nice, comfortable pullover. True to size. My only disaapointment is that the side seam came unravelled after the third time I wore it.

The feel of the material and quality of construction are excellent. The medium would probably be perfect if W inches taller. I would characterize it as loose fitting.

I like the look and design, but, as usual with other LL Bean men's clothing I have purchased over the years, runs a little large. Have come to expect that.

Saw this featured back in Dec. From the description, thought it'd be a nice for the upcoming Winter. Ordered a Tall XXL to compensate for my physique as well as layering. The fit was fine. The color, the knit, and features were great too.Used it to throw on for a brief walk outside. Wore it on top of 2 layers. It worked well for the amount of time and temp. Also as temps dropped, wore it as a layer under a 3 in 1 jacket. Seemed to be a good addition for layering at that time . Awarded 4 stars only because I'm not a able to honestly judge the warmth factor for sub- zero temps.

I ordered the small and usually that fits me fine if it is slightly fitted (I have athletic build with tones arms). When I pulled this over a thin t-shirt, it was too snug across the chest. Because of how it is constructed there is a horizontal seam just below the logo where the fabric does NOT stretch because it was doubled up. So it fits tighter than I like on my chest and when I wrap my arms around myself, I can feel it pull on the back. Material is comfortable and the arms on it where not too small and the sleeve length was fine for me. Collar was somewhat high/taller than I would have expected. I like the metal snaps, but unsure in terms of longevity if they last longer or not than the std YKK zippers. I have a few very old fleece tops (25+ yrs) and the zippers are still going strong even though I have worn holes in the material, The snaps in the past were plastic rivets and unfortunately all broke over time within a decade easily. Kangaroo pocket is nice in case you want to put your keys or your phone in there or if your hands are chilly. I am going to try to exchange this one for a medium and hope that it isn;t too big on me.Try this top out. If it fits you, I am sure you will keep it. :-) YMMV.

Was really looking forward to this one! The material felt awesome but the fit was really odd. Maybe made to fit beer belly's? Kind of like a bell shape when I put it on. Shoulders fit perfectly but it slowly got bigger towards the bottom. I was hoping for a slim fit. Of course - this has nothing to do with the item itself - it's REALLY nice and like all LL Bean clothes, worth the price.

Have been wearing this pullover with a Smartwool or Duofold base layer on winter hikes and have found it to be surprisingly warm

The garment is well made, looks nice, and versatile. It keeps you warm in mild climates. My only complaint is it's length. It is a little on the short side, sitting right below my belt. It doesn't look awkward, but any bending will expose whatever is underneath. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

This pullover is very comfortable to wear with a light tee shirt under it. My son and son-in- law both have commented that they really like the looks of it. That doesn't happen often! I've always been impressed with the quality of L.L. Bean's products - and they fit just right.

It is a nice pullover but thinner than I thought. Won't provide much warmth, no more than a long sleeve tshirt. Seems small too for a men's medium.

First and foremost, I am a woman ! I like men's shirts b/c they are generally made better then ours! I do like this overall. The red is not a True red color. Seems there's a bit of orange in it? But if you're looking for TRUE Red? Don't get this. I, myself, like it! It is thinner then I thought. I wore it on a mild day of cooler weather w/a shirt under expecting to be warm and wasn't. If you want to be warm, then don't get this! I love the weave of it. That's nice b/c it gives some depth to a blah type shirt. It is made fairly well and am pleased w/this! Overall, you can't go wrong if you get it on a special.

Very light and comfortable, and good on days where temperatures cross back and forth between mild and cool. Not a cold weather item, except in layering. The biggest negative for me was the absence of a zippered chest pocket. Hand-warmer/marsupial pockets don't securely hold glasses or a cell phones from my experience so far. That being the case, i find my outdoor use of this piece limited, despite liking the fit, feel, and warmth it provides.

Got you..... I am not color blind. Sometimes I have trouble with LLBean and the pictures they use in the catalog or on line. They just don't quite match up to the product sent me. This is one of those times. From the picture I thought I was getting a sort of bright watermelon red and what I got was a medium deep cherry red. Can not say much more about the sweatshirt since I live in the deep South and last week it was still in the 90's.

Nice material, very lightweight, good color. The fit was not great. My husband is a consistent medium, but the medium in this pullover was way too short in the torso. We did not order the tall as we know the arms would have then been way too long. Sadly sent it back...

I found this to be good quality, with a good fit. I have used it several times in varying temperature ranges, and it appears to perform as advertised. I found it very comfortable. The only disappointment for me is the piping/finishing border on the edges of the garment. I have never been a fan of this, regardless of who makes the item.
