The material the L.L. Bean Henley short-sleeve shirt is made in is excellent. It is a heavier and unshrinkable material than most Henley shirts I've seen. Over the years I've ordered a number of the L.L. Bean men's XXL short-sleeve Henley shirts and the last three I received tend to be a bit larger than all the others. One of the shirts must have missed going through final quality control as it had numerous unclipped threads mainly around the neck area which is not normal. It has the dubious distinction of being the first of the many I've ordered. Other than that, the L.L. Bean short-sleeve Henley shirts are nice and very comfortable.

Shirt is soft, feels durable, a little short in body for a tall

I have been buying T-shirts from L. L. Bean for over 20 years. But today the T-shirts arrived and they are different material. It is still good and thick but not warm like last year warm. It is slick material, I guess a new kind of cotton. I will update after I wash and wear. It is also not a big which is very important!!

Ordered 2 shirts. Catalog mislabeled colors. Returned. Ordered 2 new colors next catalog. Not in stock yet. Past, fit fine & wear well. ..

My husband loves these shirts, but after multiple washings, the neck becomes waffled and looks terrible.

Large size seem to run a little larger than expected, I purchased 3 they are very loose fitting. I expected a firmer fit. Hoping frequent washing will shrink somewhat.

After two washings the Henleys remain a good fit and very comfortable. The quality of these shirts at this point is very good.

Nice tee: comfortable, good sizing, & decent quality. Need more summer colors! (yellow, light blue, pink, coral, etc.). Wish collar stayed in better shape longer.

Partial to Henley shirts. Fabric weight is good as is the color. Main issue is size. A large Beam shirt typically fits well. This shirt fit a little less loose, not tight but not a roomy as a regular Beam large shirt. Washed up fine. It's a good basic Henley tee shirt.

Shirt is a bit wide and box shaped. Could be redesigned to be tapered to the waist.

Would like sleeves to be a little longer on the short sleeve versions. Cold weather it doesn't matter, but in summer with nothing over them, a little longer would be better . Almost only tee shirts I wear, last forever, hold shape.

i usually wear a large or XL but this shirt fits like a XL. Just a huge squareshape.

Fits well if you like to have a slightly loose fit. Bought large size to accommodate 40" chest and average height 5'9" build, 170 lbs.

My husband has worn these white henley L.L. Bean short sleeve cotton shirts for years and years. So happy to see the white option become available again. Bought six. He says they're not the same as previous ones. They've got some kind of coating or something on them that makes them not breathe and consequently are very warm. Bad deal in our hot climate. Previous years' ones were a cotton that did breath. Still extremely well-made. He's keeping them. We are hoping that whatever makes them so warm gets washed out with use.

Very nice shirt. Only complaint is the collar has a tendency to fold in.

They are a good cross between LL Bean' s long sleeve henlies and their tshirts.

The quality of materials and labor is high, The stitching around the buttons is strong yet attractive. The price is acceptable, though not competitive.

Henleys are a generous fit. Sent back XXL for XL. Nothing wrong with that. Good quality. Wish there we other colors other than dark. Lighter color like pastels would be perfect. But if you like the colors- order!!!

Every day t shirt holds up better than any other. I was looking for a tshirt that wasnt paper thin and didnt twist or pill. I have three of these and look forward to try and wear them out. I would have given 5 stars if the price was lower.

Good shirt, but you may need to consider a size below what you normally select, as they run quite large. I have required extra large shirts for the past 30 years, and they have always fit properly, however this shirt in XL fits like a tent - and they really do not shrink.

Really enjoying my 2 Henley shirt sleeve shirts. I only wish I could buy them with a pocket. Tired of putting notes in my pants pocket, then have to uncrumple the note to read it.

My husband says the fit is great, it's super comfortable. It's been washed and dried and didn't shrink. Our only complaint is that there isn't a hunter green color.

I received this product as a gift and instantly fell in love with it soon as I tried it on. So I purchased a couple more for myself in different colors!

I bought 2 of these shirts, XL tall. However, one of the shirts was labeled XL tall but it was missed labeled because the fit was not an XL tall. It was approximately 5 inches short. Another quality product from China.

Fit was good and they did not appear to shrink after washing. For me the weight could be a bit heavier, that's why I gave it four stars instead of five. They are 6.1oz fabric weight, about the same weight as a heavy undershirt. I would prefer a bit more heft. The LL Bean cotton Polo's are 8.3oz fabric weight which is good for a Polo. I believe the Henly's could use a small fabric increase somewhere between 6.5oz & 7.0oz?
