Ok except for the too tight neck. The material seems good but sweaty

I've been buying these t-shirts for about 20 years. Sadly, quality has diminished over the past decade. The material is coarser, and multiple washings doesn't help. I wear a large, and I'm not overweight. These days, their fit is more A-line, to accommodate American men's ever-growing girth, I assume. I've also tried Medium size, but those were too tight.
At the moment, I keep buying them because it's hard to find solid tees that are 100% cotton. An alternate non-Bean choice: Comfort Colors brand, though the collar and tag are iffy.
Lately, I've noticed many product reviews that lament what has happened to Bean-wear, What a shame that LL Bean has cut corners like this, without much quality control and without heeding the many complaints (or so it seems)

Color and feel are great but fit is much bigger than advertised. The large size I usually order was the the size of a tent. Order a smaller size than you normally do for this shirt. I am 5'10" and 190 lbs.

I wear these T-shirts exclusively. Perfet fit every time. Only complaint is that after a while the collar gets stretched and also they are not stain free.

The colors and the fabric on these shirts are nice I just wish the talls were a bit longer. I ended up giving these to my mom they fit her good a bit loose on her but she likes them.

I've found this time the crew neck seems particularly high and tighter than usual. Not totally pleasant at times.

I bought this before and really liked it. Good quality and good fit. But I bought the same size again and the shirts are way too large. I am 5'10" and 150 lbs. I bought Medium Regular. This new purchase looked like a dress on me, came down to my crotch. I compared to the ones I bought last year and these are 2 or 3 inches longer. These were clearly marked Regular not Tall. Now I have to pay $6.50 return fee because LLBean can't properly manage their sizes.

I have been buying from LL Bean for a long time. This is the first time I've had a complaint about the quality of the product delivered. While these were great Tees and I'm sure they used to be white but they have been sitting somewhere until they yellowed! Each of the 3 white tees is a different shade of yellow. Terrible quality control.

Well made T-shirt. I will not purchase again because the shirt does not absorb moisture. Sweat runs down my torso. The shirt is treated with something probably to make it softer. I bought an all cotton shirt to be comfortable, this not comfortable in warm weather

Sizing seems inconsistent, the size I ordered is larger than the normal sizing!

I normally take a size large, but over the years I've learned to order a medium long from LL Bean for my flannel shirts. I ordered a medium long t-shirt and it almost comes down to my knees. Quality is definitely there, but trial and error on sizes.

I' am in need of a few new T-shirts, however can I get them with the 15% off being a long time LLBEAN Card holder? Why cannot long time card holders get an additional 15% off? Screwing over long time customers!

Been buying these shirts for a very long time to the point some of the ones I have still have tags on the neck rather then printed into fabric. Unfortunately after you've gone through about 1/2 dozen washes the collars start showing bacon collar...meanwhile the old LL bean t-shirts with the tags hardly show any bacon collar. Considering these T-shirts are not really cheap, the latter shouldn't be happening as I would expect better quality. Also need more neutral colors, oatmeal color that was offered several years ago was great to wear in the summer and a better yellow is needed for summer.

The t-shirt has a great fit and is very soft, except all of the ones that I purchased, the material gathered along the neckline after a couple of washing giving it a crinkled look, which interfered with the looks of the tee and looked like an inferior quality t-shirt altogether.
Disappointed,

Crew neck looked stretched out after one washing. Can buy cheaper ones that do this.

I've been buying these t-shirts for a long time, and I'm afraid the quality of the material seems to have declined over time. For illustration, one of the first t-shirts I purchased lasted years and actually outlasted some of the ones purchased after. The problem is pinholes. They seem to crop up after a few washes. I always wash them in cold water, tumble them with no heat, then let them line dry.

The good: excellent quality shirt, heavy weight, soft, no doubt this will last. The not so good: odd cuts. typically wear a large across all brands; have a 42" chest measurement. This L was crazy huge. Exchanged for M, chest fit good but it tapered down quickly very narrow. It would be nice to be able to move in a tee- shirt. LLBean widen the body and you have a hands down winner.

I like the weight of these shirts; however, they did shrink some when washed in warm water.

This is a well-made shirt, as you'd expect from L.L. Bean. The midweight fabric is soft and sturdy, and the construction quality is excellent. The neck and shoulder seams are bound, and other serged seams in the sleeves are stitched down to lay flat. The neck tag is printed, which I like, but the side tag at the waist is sewn in to the construction seam instead of being tacked on separately; this leaves a scratchy remnant, which is especially noticeable when tucked in.
The fit is unflattering, however. At least on me. The shirt is essentially a tube, and it looks like a tube when I'm wearing it. I tried on two sizes: Medium Tall and Large Tall. On paper I'm a Large Tall, but the body was so wide that it felt and looked like a dress. So, I opted for the Medium Tall in order to get a slimmer fit. The body is OK, if a bit shapeless. But, after wearing the shirt a few times I realize that the shoulders are too narrow for me. It just doesn't look right.
The tall sizes are VERY tall. I'm 6'2" (195 lb, 16.5" neck, 42" chest, 35" waist) and these are too long for me. At my height I'm usually just at the bottom end of tall sizes, and I probably should have chosen the regular size here. I was concerned about them shrinking in the wash (as every 100% cotton T-shirt from every brand that I've ever owned does) so I got the tall. We'll see over time whether that was the right choice. In the meantime, these will be good for tucking in because they'll definitely stay put.
For truly tall people, this shirt will be great. It's substantially longer than the tall sizes from most other companies.
I wanted to like these shirts - the quality is high, the colors are nice, they fit a niche in my wardrobe, and they were on sale. I should have been honest with myself and returned them, though. I knew when I tried them on that the fit wasn't great, but didn't admit it until having cut the tags off and washed them. I'll get some use out of them as night shirts; they're comfortable and the extra length will provide a little more warmth as the weather cools, before we fire up the wood stove for the season.
I would definitely take another look at this shirt if they offered it in a slim cut. And, I'd recommend it for quality, if you find that it fits your frame well.

Hope quality is better than last time. Always purchased this product in the past and previously had excellent results with quality. Last purchase all Ts wore out/unraveled quickly at collar. Not sure if fluke or what but history of warmth and comfort guided me to try them again.

Runs a size large and is heavier weight that expected. Not a bad spring and fall short but too heavy for Indiana summers and too thick to wear under layers.

The quality of the fabric seems great but the sizing of these shirts are WAY too boxy. I'm a heavy guy -- my body type is just a bit bigger than the larger male LL Bean model -- usually wear XL everything, but the XL of these shirts made them feel like XXXL.
If these suit your body type, they would be an excellent t-shirt -- the material is soft, comfortable and a good thickness (not too much or too little). It's just the sizing is completely off from any other t-shirt I've bought in the last 10 years.
If you have a more pear-shaped body, these would be a good buy. If not, look instead at the fitted or slightly fitted t-shirts LL Bean has on offer.

I have been buying these t shirts for many years. Always pleased with quality and fit however I just bought 3 more shirts within the last week and I must say that I am disappointed. Material is much thinner than past and shirt is much longer. Perhaps my mistake was buying the colors that were on sale for $19.99. Might be a different supplier. I have 3 year old similar shirts that are better quality. As I said I've always loved these T's but will probably not order again.
