I've bought many of these over the years and really like the fit; not too tight in the shoulders and not too baggy. I love the material too - doesn't fade too bad (except navy blue which does fade in the middle), resists stains and doesn't get stretched out.
The biggest problem, though, is the colors. There are fewer of them and not a big fan of the color choice. Being male, I like the dark earthy tone and very few of these are left (basically black and navy blue). I haven't bought a new one in years and would love to buy more, just don't like the colors.

Unfortunately the collars on my 3 shirts wrinkle up. Other non
LL Bean T's don't get wrinkled collars.

This is my second order for this tee shirt and really enjoy the fit and look. The only problem I have with it is that it seems like you a wearing a sauna in hotter and more humid weather, it just doesn't breath. The tag says 100% cotton, but wonder if it is what the cotton is treated with. Still a great tee shirt.

A good quality tee is hard to find for a good price. This is it. Sized for oldsters and I'm sure they have slimmer.

T-shirt is made well, true to size. I am 6'1" and weigh 220 pounds. The regular XL fits me well. The fabric is very soft but a little lighter fabric than the older llbean t-shirts.

Hi. I was hoping you would have more color choices this year. My husband has most of the colors you offer except the orange heather which is not a good color for him.
Why not have more color choices in what probably is one of your best sellers.
Thanks

These are probably the best t-shirts out there. The stain resistances doesn't work on bleach though as I ruined two of these in one week brushing up against some shower cleaner.

I have several of these t-shirts, and generally like them. I have a few that were primarily worn outside, and you may be certain the sun fades them (even if washing will not). You should see the differences in the inside and outside colors of the shirts.
I just bought some more, so you see how "unhappy" I am.

Extra large T-shirts (3) ... yes, the soft LLBean high quality texture is evident, but the color is very yellow-ish (as if these shirts had been stored in a warehouse for years). The shirts were not like the bright white sample shown on the web site.
I even tried bleaching them, but to no avail. That dull yellow-ish color is un-removable. Is there such a thing as fabric jaundice?

I'm a bigger guy and these shirts fit thru the chest, arms and stomach area as good as any I can find. I do wish the tall's, which I need, were a little longer though. I find if I am working or up and down a lot the tall doesn't always stay tucked in. The shirt would rate excellent if they were just an inch or inch and a half longer.

Underarm material discolors after a couple of years for those who sweat heavily. I live in south Florida . Summer's are hot and humid .

I'd have to guess that the person that selects the colors for the men's tee is a women. The colors are really sad, butter, plumb, heather this heather that. The gym I go to I don't see men wearing these types of colors. Even the red isn't red. How about a silver, dark and med gray (not heather) maybe a cream color. I love the shirts but the colors suck.

Great fit in the neck, a smaller neck opening with some give makes for a much cleaner look under a sweater than a neck line that sags. Great arm length. The only problem is the neck material looks like bacon when it is washed. That has always been a common problem to my knowledge with this tee. Fix this problem and you have a 5 star tee.

I've worn these tee shirtshirt for years. The tall size is great. I only wish it were available in a V neck.

Although I like the overall quality of the t-shirts, within a short period of time the band of collar material becomes "scalloped" and will not maintain its original shape.

The quality of the fabric seems to have recently decreased. I used L. L. Bean t shirts exclusively in the past, but recently the availability of 2XL tall has been terrible and the colors all seem to be "heathered". Go back to plain, normal colors like the past. Plain reds, yellows and blues

I buy these t's if I have the extra money. They fit well, and seem to hold their color and size much longer than store bought t's.
The reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 star is because of cost. As much as I like them, I can't always afford them when I need some new ones.
Too bad, they are a better product.

Love these tees. Own many of them in various colors. The first thing that wears out is the neck band! Need to do something to correct this fault.

These have long been and continue with various changes over the years to be excellent t-shirts. But recently I have been noticing peculiar sizing anomalies -- I'm 6'2" about 195, old but in pretty good condition, and I have noticed these shirts in the XL size I have always ordered getting just huge and tent-like -- sometimes, it seems, after an hour or so of wear on a hot day. Maybe the sizes or the cut have been adjusted up, maybe the fabric is thinner and therefore more stretchy, maybe the fabric "relaxes" as it gets warm and humid. I have lots of older LLBean t-shirts for which this is not a problem. I'm puzzled.

I have owned this shirt now for 2 years. It is one of my favorite t shirts.
As advertised this shirt will not shrink - which is important to me as finding the right fit for me is tough. I am 6'5" 240 lbs with a 36" waist. The XL Tall slim and slightly fitted are perfect for me and i have tried a lot of other shirts and fits. The quality of the fabric is excellent as well and i have had no issues with loose threads or tears.
I do have two issues however:
The shirt has faded slightly which goes against the advertising. I would estimate that i have washed this shirt with like colors approximately 50 times. Quite honestly though i enjoy the "patina" that has ensued.
The shirt collar has stretched and lost elasticity. This is the reason for the 4/5 rating. This stretching has made the collar look sloppy. It is a shame as the rest of the shirt is holding up fine and shows no signs of stretch.
Overall an excellent shirt. I would recommend this shirt and i would buy it again as i have not found a better fit.

Bought four of these T's with pockets. (Blk, Nvy, Grn & Maroon)
Only Maroon color T-shirt that I've found anywhere.
They ARE 'as advertised' in rejecting stains from most things and not wrinkling a lot.
However, I have other 'all cotton' T's that are cooler to wear (as in: don't sweat in them as much). The absolute "coolest" T's I own are cotton & hemp. They are the BEST. But no pocket.
Whatever they have done to the all cotton material to keep away stains --works against it-- in taking away some breathability.
Great T for Fall... but not so much for Summer heat.

I like everything about this shirt except the color. Would like to see a tan (light brown) option.

The unshrinkable pocket tees are the best that we have found; however, they will wrinkle, stain, and will fade. I do not use any bleach or bleach alternatives, but have found that they lose their brightness and vibrancy after several washings. The tees fit great, pocket is a nice size and we will continue to order these as other products do not compare.
