I have been looking for a fishing bag and saw the district 8 bag on the web site. I recently purchased this bag and I could be happier. It holds all my fly boxes, tippers leaders and on her necessary items. It's very comfortable and tucked out of the way while fishing. The shoulder strap has easy adjustment and is comfortable. The bag is very well made and is constructed from recyclable materials which is very appealing. A great product

I'm thrilled on this purchase. It's comfy to wear all day and fits all I need and more. The compartments are my favorite part - great for keeping everything organized.

Purchased this wonderful bag, with AMPLE organized storage for the many items needed for golf. Well constructed, many pockets and zippers. Highly recommend

I bought this for travelling because I do not normally carry a bag back home but when I travel I like to keep more things on me. It is very practical to store my daily essentials for travelling. I can even fit a small water bottle in with everything else. The only downside is I find it hard to get the neck/shoulder padding placed correctly but once it is, it is very comfortable

The fabric is nice, and seems pretty durable. The shoulder strap and pad are also made from good materials. I only have two small gripes: The connection between the shoulder strap and bag is odd, there's only a small bit of fabric connecting to the strap loop, so the strap gets twisted easily. Lastly, I wish it had a simple handle. 5 stars because it's made well.

I purchased this to use to hold all the miscellaneous things that I need for working as a firefighter. It works great and I can tell it will hold up for a long time! I might have to purchase another for everyday use!

I have a 2 Day Assault that has been my EDC for years and is perfect for when I have to take books and my computer on the go. However, sometimes I just need my iPad and a few other things. So I got this to carry everything I needed when I wanted to just take my iPad in somewhere. I can have my cords, notebooks, a small book, and all of the day to day (pens, etc.) so that I just grab this and the iPad. The only thing that is not perfect about it is the strap length. I knew this going in, but as a 6'6" man, the bag sits in my armpit or just below, instead of at my hip where I would prefer. This is not the fault of the bag or Mystery Ranch, just something to be aware of (and I was when I bought it). Overall, thankful to have it and excited to use it for years to come.

My husband is a firefighter and gear nerd who recently noticed his aging body (nearing 50) no longer tolerates sitting on a wallet in back pocket. He had been looking for something for a while and got this on-request for Christmas. He has since used it every time we leave the house! It holds a lot and has tons of organization features, yet is still slim and discrete. Neither of us are purse peopletend to go fanny pack or backpack, but this size is perfect for visiting family or being out around town all day. It is comfortable, functional, sturdy, and looks good on him.

I love this bag...it is my new EDC. I would have purchased a District 4 as the size was better, but I disliked the strap on it. This strap system works way better for me.

I really like this bag. It fits all of my everyday carry items and my camera, which is exactly what I was looking for in a bag. However, my only complaint is that the bag I received seemed to be a demo model as it came with a USB-C cable and a pen inside.

I was doubtful about picking this up due to what seemed like an overbuilt shoulder strap. The Labor Day sale helped me make the jump. The factory design assumes you'll wear this on your right hip. I prefer left hip carry, which puts the quick release buckle behind me. It was simple enough to remove the strap stitching, flip it, and sew back down. The pad feels great but does not slide separately from the strap. It's the middle third of the strap no matter what you do. The quick slide triglides used on either end of the shoulder pad are great. I would much rather have a continuous nylon strap with a separate, removable pad even if it's thinner. While the volume of the bag can lend itself to over stuffing, I don't often carry enough weight in this type of bag to need any padding at all.

This is a great EDC bag - just big enough to be useful. I like the orange interior, it makes it super easy to see inside to find your stuff. The only complaint I have is that the shoulder strap needs to be slightly longer, by just a bit.

I wish the strap was longer and could be adjusted as it's just a bit too short to be comfortable. I just purchased this prior to a recent trip to Vegas where I used it to carry my phone, cash, rental car key fobs, sunglasses, pens, wallet, and so on (all stuff I didn't want crammed into my short's pockets, it's a shame cargo shorts have gone out of style). My only issue is that the strap isn't adjustable and the length, for me, made it a little uncomfortable after hours of use. Otherwise: 5 stars

I'm not I'm not the only buyer who has requested you change strap ends to swivel hardware to avoid twisting and of course, untwisting. This goes for all the bags. And on any unit larger than 6L and handle would surely be helpful.

Fantastic bag. Two things. Wish was slightly bigger, but more than that, I am 6'3" and would like to have an additional length on the shoulder strap or the ability to buy an extension so when worn cross body it won't ride so high. Besides that, my fave for day to day. Thanks.

I am on the search for a cross-body bag that is water resistant and fits all the things I need for birding. I was attracted to the bag's design. The strap is very comfortable with the padding, and easy to adjust. Hummus is a bit darker and duller than the photos. After seeing it in person, I thought it was too man-baggy for me and also realized I am needing something a little bigger.

Excellent bag, well made with great internal organization and pockets. I absolutely love it as a day bag as I mostly work with an iPad. The problem comes when you try and pick up the bag by anything other than the strap. The addition of a handle in place of the little loop on top would make this perfect. Another minor suggestion would be to add swivels for the shoulder strap.

This is a nicely organized bag. Zippered pockets, easily accessible pockets (inside and out), and light weight. I cannot comment on the durability of the new materials being used by MR yet. Haven't used it enough, or beat it up enough to make any assessment. I have noticed that it was designed for wearing over the left shoulder for right handed people. For those of us that are southpaws, a bit of an irritant. And, it isn't that bad. It's just the shoulder pad tends to ride mostly on my chest when wearing cross body. Also, if you are in the habit of carrying a water bottle, you had better rethink that, or get a smaller water bottle. This bag was not designed for that. But, if you just want to take a couple of small notebooks, iPad, phone, small incidentals, you should be fine. It's just a nice bag. With the additional plus of not looking goofy wearing a fanny pack as a sling bag.

My 2nd Mystery Ranch pack, satisfied with the overall quality/design though a loose thread is found: - light weight, just enough padding/storage for daily use - pack stays close to the body due to slim design and comfortable to wear - the straps can be adjusted very easily and separately on the front and back, without altering the position of the shoulder pad Hope for upgrades in next version: - slightly thicker main compartment for storing thicker items occasionally - simple webbing handle like the Hip Monkey instead of a loop - separate flaps for the front pockets with magnetic closure instead of velcros

This would be a 5 star perfect bag if it had a bottle holder pocket on the side of the bag. The front pockets will not hold a 16 oz coffee mug. Otherwise it is just perfect for my needs!!

Great features, great design, my only complaint is that the strap is way too short to be comfortable adjusted so that the padded portion is on my shoulder.

The bag itself is functional. But the shoulder strap is surprisingly short, limiting functionality. Even at its longest, feels tight across my body. I wouldn't mind if the internal compartment dividers could snap apart to allow more flexible uses.

Back panel, part that rests against the body, is made of a soft poly material that pills from friction and snags on Velcro. Only had this bag about a month and it already looks terrible. A perplexing design choice by MR. Rest of the bag is quite durable and thoughtfully laid out.

I love the bag itself, however, the strap is far to short. It wears more like a sling bag than a crossbody bag.
