Bought boots as they look sleek enough for work. They sit about .5 size bigger than my others Tims. Comfy when broken in. Top of shaft sits in an awkward spot on the back of my calf. #Sweepstakes

I bought these boot for my grandson. He love them and he wears them every day. They are durable and he loves the style. I will definitely buy timberlands products again for myself and for family and friends.

I thought the boots were incredibly comfortable and stylish. They maintain some of the rugged traditionality of the legacy Timbs while still adding something unique and new. I tested them in the rain and was extremely pleased with the results. My only fault that I can find is that they were not completely true to size. I sized down (as someone who has had previously owned a pair of Timbs) and they were still a bit large. Either way, if you get your fit correct, then these boots should be a constant companion in NYC or any other locale.

These Men's Atwells Ave Waterproof Boot - Wheat Full Grain were not like any other boots I've owned. These were nice. My only issue is that the boot tounge was attached to the side to close to the top. Other than that fantastic job

As someone whose not a big fan of high top boots, these are extremely comfortable and easy to put on and take off. They're stylish and I've found myself wanting to wear them more often than tennis shoes due to how comfortable they are and how they look. They do get scuffed up easily but I don't think any easier than your other typical boot of similar material and they do seem to be waterproof, although I haven't had an opportunity to really get in deep water with them yet. Highly recommend, great quality, completely worth the price!

I wanted to love these boots and I love how they're light weight and waterproof. The big (no pun) problem is the shoe is way too big. I know my size in timberland boots. These boots are sized way off. The 11 is more like a 13. I even compared to other timbs I have. So weird. And since I polished them before wearing them I can't return them now. Do yourself a favor either size down by two sizes are don't waste your money.

The plastic insert in the shoe causes friction and pain every step. It's only covered by a thin layer of fabric with no padding to soften the impact.
What's interesting, left shoe does not seem to have the same problem. A few other reviews also only mention the right shoe. I wonder if it's a design or QA problem.

I purchase these boots less than a month ago, and after trying to break them in for a week or two, I realized that something must be wrong with the pair I received. There is a hard component that provides structure around the sides and back of your heel, and in one of my boots, part of that component hits my ankle with every step, making the shoes not only uncomfortable but painful to wear.
I waited a week or two and gave it another shot, but the problem persisted. I tried loosening and tightening the laces to different degrees, but the issue didn't go away. I checked my other boots of similar weight, height, and structure to see if it was my ankle rather than the boots, but unfortunately, it is clear that these boots are the source of the problem.
What is most upsetting is that when I tried to speak to a chat agent on the website about this problem, I was told that because the shoes are worn, I cannot return them, and I have to submit a warranty claim via email. I understand policy is policy, but this warranty claim process will likely take weeks longer to come to a solution, and I am incredibly frustrated that I now just have to go buy another pair of boots while I wait. Furthermore, because the problem or defect in my boots is *inside* the fabric, the pictures that I sent in the warranty claim are barely able to show anything, so I fear that my claim will. be denied anyway.
This was my first Timberland purchase, and I was initially quite excited about the style of boots and the cleaning and maintenance services that Timberland offers. I hope this problem can be resolved so that the experience remains positive.

The right shoe has a pointed extension on the inner side, it hurts me on the side of my right ankle and it bothers me so much that I scratched my leg and even blood came out. The shoes clearly have factory wear. I wore it 3 times in total, but I can't wear it more times as a hat.
Very disappointed I expected more from this brand. I have never had such uncomfortable shoes.

This is a great boot. For me however it didn't work out. I wear a full length steel brace and to activate my knee, have to lift my toes and have shoe flexibility. This boot was too heavy and stiff for me. Too bad-I liked it.
