Im 56 and weigh 200-210 with a mom belly. My clothes sizes (from affordable known brands); Tops: L or XL, Jeans: 14/16 or XL in pants. I purchased the XL Marin Blue and it fit perfect with extra room for a sweater underneath AND it still wasnt snug. I didnt have issues with the shoulders being tight like other commenters have mentioned. Its a very light weight jacket so I dont think its the right choice for a cold/snowy weather. I live in SoCal where our kind of cold is chilly so the jacket is perfect for Cali weather. I Love it!

This is a fabulous jacket. Its lightweight warmth and I love the retro feel of it. I debated between a medium and a large, and the medium is perfect for me. Great jacket for a great price!

Its not heavy but nice and warm. I found the fit generous in my regular LL Bean size, it slides over a sweater or sweatshirt easily.

Got this coat (yesterday) because the style reminded me of my youth and I plan to use it camping and after I am done fat tire biking in WI.(Merry Christmas to myself) As my 22-year-old daughter said "It's so you and fits you so well" I do have long "MJ" arms and this coat fits them perfectly. I usually get the XL for that alone and it is slightly loose on me in the chest and hips but fits great in the shoulders and arms. So I am keeping it! It's not a super heavy/warm coat but I plan on wearing it with a hoodie or sweatshirt under it so fit is perfect! I see this also being my favorite fall coat as well. I am almost 52 mom of 4 and 5'9" and 175lb :( athletic build and very active in biking year-round. So if you are thinking about it ... go for it! LLBean gear is the best! I wish I could be their old lady brand ambassador one day! lol

I love almost everything about this jacket. The only thing I don't love is the cuff of the sleeves. It's like an elastic band type cuff. I'd prefer it to have a standard cuff, but it's not a deal breaker.

Great jacket! Lightweight and not bulky, but surprisingly warm. I was a little worried because some other reviewers wrote that the jacket ran small, but it fits perfectly in my opinion. I would have loved an additional little pocket or two on the inside, but otherwise very happy!

I love the colors of this coat so much, however the fit isnt right. I ordered my usual size, it was fairly roomy throughout but the chest was so tight and Im small chested to begin with. I returned for another style.

This is a very nice intermediate-season jacket. I normally wear "large" but ordered an XL to al,low room for a sweater or vest underneath for when the temperature drops.

This lightweight jacket is an all-around score, right down to to the style and color scheme! Its versatility ranges from breezy, early autumn afternoons, through colder (low 40s/upper 30s) temps. Winter hasnt arrived yet, but I have no doubt Ill be comfy and warm pairing it over a warm sweater.

Really solid jacket! I took one star off because it is tight in the chest/upper arm area. Anyone with broad shoulders may find this a little constricting. But otherwise it is very comfortable. Lightweight, but very warm. The pockets are perfectly placed and nice and deep.

I'm 5'9 about 145 pounds and I purchased medium. There is not much room to layer, but it's very comfortable and I love that the collar stands up. So far worn in about 45 degrees with a flannel under and was plenty warm. Would recommend for midweight jacket, not for true winter tho.

First, I absolutely love the colors in the brown, which made me determined to make some version of it work. I also love the light weight and the colorblock look. I ordered my usual size and the fit was just exactly right with a thin tee under it. It looked fantastic, but it left no margin for layering. So I tried the same color in the hooded version one size up. The look wasn't quite as sharp, but for a transitional piece like this I decided that layering flexibility won out over aesthetics, so I am keeping the larger one. Overall I am very satisfied

I love the color and style of this jacket! I have the kelp & navy color. But I wouldn't necessarily call it a puffer jacket. It's very thin and light weight. More of a fall/early spring jacket. I will mention that it's a bit snug across my shoulder blades. I normally wear a PXS in LLBEAN which always fits me perfectly. I tried one size up but felt it was too big on me so I kept the smaller size.
