When I ordered this jacket, it was to replace the same model I bought two years ago that had begun to delaminate along the collar. The company said this was a known defect and that they would replace it. However, the new one, nice as it is, lacks the sewn in visor along the top edge of the hood that could be flipped back to keep the hood and rain out of my eyes. This is an unfortunate difference as I now have to hold the hood with one hand in the rain to keep it from falling over my eyes. Why remove such a useful feature?

My last rain jacket was bright pink, good visibility when dog walking. No bright colors offered now. I ordered large, after losing 20 lbs my xlg jacket was huge. The difference between large and xlg is dramatic. The length seems shorter and overall size runs small.

This lightweight raincoat is perfect in every way except the sleeves...they are so tight that I could only wear a thin short-sleeved tee underneath and I nearly froze to death! I should have heeded the other reviews saying the sleeves were too tight, but I really loved the look of this coat. You would think the designers would know that a woman who wears a 2X probably has fat arms!
I'm going to keep it with the hope that I can lose enough weight for it to fit comfortably, but I must say I'm disappointed in the design. Great color though!

This jacket fits well. I'm very happy with the hood. Hoods on other jackets tend to cover too much of your face, so it's hard to see. This one does not do that. It's not very warm, so if it's a cold rain, you definitely want to have a warm shirt underneath it.

The jacket is a good fit. I have trouble with sleeve length in jackets, but the XS fits well for a petite size. The jacket is good for a layer underneath, make sure to take this into consideration when ordering a size. It is great for a waterproof layer, but it is very thin material. I would have liked a thin lining inside. Seems most jackets are no layer or heavier layer. Hope LLBean will consider adding to their line of waterproof jackets with hoods.

This is a lovely jacket but it is too tight in hips when worn over just a light shirt. There's no room to wiggle comfortably, which there should be for a jacket. I've worn the same size in my Bean jeans for 25 years so I'm blaming the jacket!

I loved my previous LLBean Trail Model rain jackets. The Small fit perfectly with room for a fleece underneath. BUT, the Small of this new version didn't even fit without a fleece underneath!... So, just know that you'll probably need a larger size than what you may have liked with the former version of this jacket. The Medium fits ok but even it could be a tad larger. I AM glad to see that LLBean has improved the lining--which was always the first thing to wear out and start peeling away, especially in the collar area... Here's hoping this one lasts longer than my last ones!

Although I loved the color of this jacket, I just didn't like the way it felt on. I was hoping the lining would be more substantial. (An actual lining.) Sadly, I returned it.

Cute fit and I like the color, but the first time I wore it for more than a few minutes in actual rain my t-shirt was wet. I thought maybe it was a breathability problem and I maybe had perspired a lot, so I took it into the shower and ran water on it - you can literally see the drops of water bulging up through the surface of the liner and turning into beads of water on the inside of the jacket. Disappointed that I can't use it for its intended purpose- I guess it is just good for water resistance in a light rainshower. Was shocked to see other reviews mention that it was waterproof for them - maybe a quality control issue?

True to size, but to be honest it's way too pricey for what's it's made of. I was expecting a thicker material.

I live in a rainy coastal urban environment, and I wear this jacket in the pouring rain many times a year. It has consistently been wonderful. Totally waterproof, comfortable, reasonably attractive, functionally superb! Love the two-way zipper! However, When I ordered a replacement it arrived with a white logo on the chest (dark blue fabric), The logo stands out too much, so I very sadly returned it. Hoping there'll be a change in the near future.

Fit and fabric are very good. The quality of the zipper is not up to Bean standards.

With a sweater, the upper arms are too tight. I had to return it.

Jacket itself is made well and loved the color, but the sleeves for petite were WAY too long. Had to return

General construction quality and fit were OK but a little "down-market". The smooth plastic-y lining felt clammy, didn't breathe and the front over-flap was fastened with velcro on instead of snaps. My wife returned it in favor of a similar item with a soft mesh lining and snaps from another brand.

The fit was good. I was a little disappointed, I thought there was a lining inside. Haven't had a chance to wear it yet.

The jacket has a nice fit with tapered waist and Velcro closures at the wrist and an ample hood. It's lightweight and packable, taking up little space in my suitcase. I bought it for traveling.
Unfortunately it wasn't truly waterproof and I got damp in a light rain with windy conditions.

Would have 5 stars if the hood design wasn't changed. Had an older one and the hood had a small brim on the front. Otherwise the quality seems the same

I ordered it a size up. It still didn't fit larger arms. Which meant it probably wouldn't have done well with multiple layers.

Very flimsy rain jacket but it does the job. I was expecting a rain coat that was more comfortable but I guess this is how things are made these days.

I like a lining in a jacket. This did not have one. The fit was good though.

The waterproofing and general comfort are good but the fit is poor. I'm 5'5" 118 lbs. Despite buying a Small Petite, the arms are too long and the top of the hood extends too far, blocking my vision both forward and to the sides.

This is a beautiful jacket and I was so excited to receive it. I tried it on and i felt like I was wearing a garbage bag. The inside has absolutely no lining, so if you are prone to wearing short sleeves or sleeveless blouses, this is not comfortable. I am returning it for that reason.

I sent it back. It zips on the left side instead of the right side. Plus, it was a little tight in some spots.
