This is my second llbean rain jacket. I ordered medium petite. I wanted a thinner jacket for spring and fall, it serves that purpose. A little pricey I thought but it looks great. I wish the llbean logo was down near the waist vs. on the chest area. LL Bean never disappoints.

First I ordered it in petite xsmall after reading previous reviews. Once I received it though I didn't like how short it was at the torso. I opted to switch for the petite small and am happy with the exchange!

I bought it a bit big so layers would fit under it. I love that it fits into a small space- for backpacking. It hasn't been tested in heavy rain but I have utmost confidence that it will keep me dry.

I bought this jacket for my trip to Oregon and Washington area, but I've worn it during rainy weather at home in Iowa and really love it. It's very comfortable and kept me dry even when the rain was heavy. Love all the zippered pockets and places to carry a phone. The hood is nice to have but was a little big around my face so I just wear a baseball hat with the hood over it and it works perfectly. I chose the orange color because it's bright, but not as bright as the photo. It's more ochre than orange, but it's still very pretty. Highly recommend.

The Jasper Yellow is a great, fun color in pouring rain, and I stayed dry (at least from the hips up). I bought it for a bike ride on the Trail of the Hiawatha, rail trail, and we were in heavy rain for 5 of the 15 miles. Mud flipped from my fat tires and covered my back, the coat handled the washing machine great! I bought it big because I wanted room for layers, it was perfect. The hood fit over my helmet, the pockets were nice and roomy, for stuff. I plan on using it for years as I work and play outside. I'm really pleased!

Very waterproof, lightweight, and easy to pack for travel. Size small is perfect, maybe runs a bit large, but great for layering. It's also long enough to cover my rear! Used immediately after arriving in Jackson, Wyoming.

I bought this rain jacket for a fly fishing trip in Alaska. It rained on us ALL day, and this jacket kept me dry. I was impressed with how lightweight and packable the jacket was, which is a plus when traveling. Even with its lightweight construction, it still did its job. It does fit slightly larger than other size small jackets I have, but it still fits well and allows for layering, which was necessary on the chilly September Alaskan day. At this price, I'm considering getting another color! Highly recommend.

I recently wore this jacket while on a trip, It poured rain one day, but it kept me nice and dry except for some rain running up my hands and under the cuffs while I was holding onto the hood. That wasn't the fault of the jacket. I ordered a Petite Medium to be certain other layers would fit under it -- normally I would have ordered a Petite Small. The larger size is probably the reason the sleeves are a little long for me, but otherwise I'm very happy with my purchase.

Love the color and the fit! This is just the right weight for fall!

I love this coat. It's lightweight, perfectly designed with lots of details. I Iike the color although it is a little different from the catalog color. I've used it in light rain but not heavy downpours yet.

Wish it wasn't as fitted. Like it a little looser. Next size would have been to big in shoulders. Have an older one which is a better original fit.

I enjoy using this jacket for rain and snow and cold wind. Fit is perfect. This is the second time I have purchased this jacket. After more than 10 years the water proof lining began to deteriorate so I replaced it. Can't wait for the rain to try it out!

This is the perfect rain jacket. It's fitted, but not so fitted that you can't wear anything else underneath(!) and such a great color. I know I'll wear it forever.

It's long but that's good for the river rafting trip I bought it for...only needed it one day. I had another one on a river trip in 2010 that eventually had the lining disinegrate over time. So we'll see how this holds up.

Very light, waterproof, and surprisingly breathable compared to other similar jackets I've had! I could've probably gone with an x-small but wouldn't have had much room for layers.

Each time I come to Maine, I end up purchasing a raincoat because...it rains. However, each one is bulky and I don't want to pack it for the next trip. This one will be coming with me from now on because it's extremely packable, says so on the label! And I got a large so that in the winter it will be better for bulkier clothing. For the summer, it's loose but comfortable and well worth the purchase.

I really like this jacket. It folds up into its own pocket so I can put it in my backpack for hiking. I bought the black one so I can also use it when I go out for dinner and need a light jacket.

It fits perfect & has great little details to the jacket. It's lightweight & "breathes". So far, it has protected me from the rain, too. I like the green color.

Bought this jacket for a 10-day trip to Ireland. Bought one size up so I could wear it over a sweater (I'm usually an x-small). It fits perfectly and it's flattering. Just the right amount of shape to not make me look like a box. It waterproof, breathable, easy to wear on long hikes, and folds up small. I wear it now every time I walk my dog in the rain instead of carrying an umbrella. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat and would recommend it to anyone. Great product.

I bought this coat for a two week trip to Iceland. It was perfect for the rainy 50 windy weather. We went behind a waterfall with lots of spray and I was dry underneath when we emerged 20min later. It rolls up easily to go into a back pack and has a hood that can be cinched. The pockets are big enough to put your hands into, put a pair of gloves or hat in. Inside of the coat, you can also use the pocket created by the mesh of the real pocket since the bottom of the pocket is sewn to the coat. I have a large chest and the coat wasn't stretched across even wearing a long sleeve shirt and a puffy vest underneath. My large Samsung S8 plus phone fit into the breast pocket, along with a lip balm. Would buy again in a heart beat!!

I ordered this jacket to replace an older LLBean rain jacket that had seen its better days. I had to return the regular medium and exchange it for the petite medium because the sleeves were too long. The petite fit nicely. This jacket provides the perfect protection from the Florida rain showers because it seems to breathe and is not too hot.
