I searched the reviews to see if anyone else had small holes wearing in the the quilted front of the sweatshirt. I found that Casey Oct. 7 review had the same problem. I have worn the sweatshirt only inside. Just leaning lightly against the sink causes holes. If the material were 100% cotton instead of 20% polyester. If a 100% cotton version were made I would buy it since otherwise it is well made. I think I should get a replacement or refund. After wearing it for one season & not everyday small holes started in the outer layer. Beneath the thin quilting material it appears to be some kind of black backing. I had purchased the color "Larkspur" so the black backing showed. The style of the jacket is great. Sorry to say the clothing of LL Bean has gone way dow

I wore this jacket for the first time today. I like it it very much. It is attractive and warm on a cool Iowa morning.

I bought this Sept 2023 to wear around my house or drive in. Within a few months, a small hole started in the outer layer. A bit later, another hole. By the third hole, it's clear this fabric isn't up to the usual Bean standard. I took it back yesterday and was told I couldn't exchange it because it was 22 days past the one year date. Dang. I get the policy, but I'm really disappointed. While taking pics for this review, I found MORE flaws and stopped looking after five. Skip this item and try one of the sweaters instead. I've got some that are a decade old and still look terrific. And don't wait if you want to return something.

I have the half zip version that I've had for years and it's worn beautifully. When I got this it seemed a little thinner but the color was gorgeous and fit very nicely. But I haven't even washed it yet (just regular wear inside my house) and looked down to find a tiny hole right in front left chest area. And I cannot fix it because it's only the quilted layer (just a top layer of fabric that is very thin and fragile) which doesn't go all the way through. Very disappointed as I can only wear this around the house now that it has a hole in it.

I love this but the zipper catches on the inside fabric and only a few days after I bought it the zipper had ripped a hole on the inside. I'm really disappointed and I'm traveling out of country for 6 more months so I can't easily exchange it.

I'm a thin person, 96 lbs and not muscular, and yet the XS sleeves and armpits were too tight for my comfort. What happened to real sweatshirts with loose sleeves? Too bad, because the fabric and colors are very nice.

It looks nice and is comfy, but after only a year it started to develop holes. I just wore it to work and around town, nothing crazy or strenuous. I wasn't doing construction or gardening in it, and I certainly wasn't wearing it every day. I called LL Bean and they won't honor an exchange since it's a bit past one year, plus it was a gift. Disappointed that something that cost this much only lasts one year.

Purchased the blue full zip. Love the design and the sweatshirt is very soft. Unfortunately the garment started accumulating holes along the seam and zipper lines shortly after the first wash, even when washing inside out and in a garment bag on delicate. The issue has only worsened with time, even with infrequent and very gentle washing. For such a pricey garment and for an LL Bean item, I would have expected better quality.

Arms narrow and constricting. Will be returning. Color is wonderful. Expected full quilting, as in my previous one, not just on the body.

This is a very nice jacket. The quality and styling are perfect. So, why did I have to sadly return it? The jacket is very long for a petite size. It fits like a tunic, which is not expected for this style jacket.

This is a beautifully designed sweatshirt. Unfortunately, the zipper catches on the backing fabric, having been sewn too close, making it impossible to zip. Customer service was very helpful providing a credit.

The zippers are not working on these sweatshirts. This is the 2nd one I bought for my wife after returning the first one for the same reason. It is sad to say, but the overall quality of LL Bean products has gone down over the past few years.

I treated myself to this quilted full zip fleece sweatshirt. Within a few days the zipper got stuck and shredded the quilting. I fixed it with needle and thread as I thought it was my fault. However this continued to happen and is ruining the fabric by the zipper. For the price and LLBean name, one would expect better quality in something as simple as a zipper. I'm considering returning it to the store or trying to exchange it in hopes that this issue is an isolated problem.. judging by other reviews it doesn't look that way.

I expected a thicker fabric, especially with "quilting". This is not worth the price. The only good thing is the larkspur color, but this will go to our local clothes charity. I don't like the hassle to return nor to pay fees. I used to trust L L Bean, but now I'm wary.

I ordered my recommended size which was large tall. This sweatshirt was massive. I called customer service and she tried so hard, but we could not figure out the appropriate size. On paper, large should have fit. In reality, it seemed like I was a small. I did not do an exchange as I don't want to do another return, and neither of us were confident we had the correct sizing. Quilted fabric is soft and definitely warm. If you understand LLB sizing, this would be a warm staple

I am usually a 2x in jackets so I purchased a 3x to have room for long sleeve shirts. The sleeves are too tight unfortunately.

I am full busted and bought a size Large at first. Since I prefer a looser fit, and the Large was a tiny bit snug in the bust area I returned it and ordered an XL. The XL fit great everywhere, except that the bottom of the sweatshirt was so loose and flared out like a skirt. Very strange look for a sweatshirt. I did not experience any issues with the zipper as other reviews have mentioned. Unfortunately I will be returning the XL as well.

The fabric, color, and style were very nice, but I had to return it. I bought a size 2X and the sleeves were more than four inches too long. Note to LL Bean: Your arms don't get longer if you gain weight. I also wish the garment had been A-lined a little to accommodate larger hips.

The color and fit are great. The zipper catches on the fabric and takes several attempts. I've found this issue with other products as well. Very disappointed in the decline in quality.

Sweatshirt is very stiff. There is a facing on the inside that make is worse. Cuffs and banding around the bottom are stiff too. Sleeves are super long and out of proportion for the rest of the garment. I'm 5'10" and had to fold sleeves up. This is not as nice and cozy as you would expect it to be. I was disappointed because LL Beans quality is usually spot on. This went back.

The sweatshirt looked like in the photo when it arrived. I liked the deep green color. What I did not like was how thin it was and the boxy shape. The zipper is flimsy, too, which is frustrating because I really hoped it would be a good purchase. Unfortunately, it is going back.

Purchased Slate Blue Heather and Light Gray Heather. Slate Blue seems very nice all around, although I haven't yet washed it. Writing a review so early because the Light Gray's collar, side panels and sleeves (the 60% cotton-40% polyester sections) are noticeably yellowish compared to the body. The color differences are obvious even in the product photo, and unacceptable especially at $89.00. Returning the Light Gray unopened.

Good quality garment. Unfortunately the garment fit like a 1x (I generally wear a 2x and ordered a 3x) except for the sleeves, which were several inches too long. I then got to pay return postage. As I write this I am wearing a 2x LL Bean fleece vest and it fits perfectly. Please standardize sizing.
