This sweater is very soft and I am sad to send it back, but I plan to exchange for a smaller size and a different color. Other reviewers weren't kidding when they said the bottom of the sweater flared out. It can maybe be fixed by washing and drying, but as-is, the cut is very unattractive. I'm hoping an extra small will be better. I plan to keep it regardless since it is so comfortable and warm

I love this zip up!! I have received tons of compliments and I could live in this. The ONLY issue is that I wish I had bought this in a small...I typically order medium or even a large depending on the fit but this is pretty loose in the torso area - I recommending sizing down if you want it more fitted

This pullover is definitely cute, but I was picturing it to be a lot heavier/warmer than it actually is. Turns out it's an average or even light sweatshirt level material, and not at all what I was expecting. It's still nice though. I bought it on sale, so I wasn't too put off by it, but if I had paid full price for this, considering how light it is, I probably would have returned it.
I am tall (5'10") and I bought a size Large. Unlike some other LLBean items I have purchased in the past, the sleeves on this sweater are plenty long enough. Overall it fits me great, but I could see the torso maybe being too long on a shorter person.

Great fit. Good length. Very soft. Love the pocket for phone & small camera for travel. The zip up collar is good when you want to close off the cold outside. The only thing I felt would have been an improvement would have been tighter cuffs. They are just loose. I've only worn the one time so far so I cannot comment yet on shrinkage, but it does not look like that it did.

I got the blue one in a size small. The color is pretty. Its a cute sweatshirt but thinner than I thought it would be. Its definitely a lightweight sweatshirt. I'm 5"5, 135lbs and a size small fits nicely, still roomy enough. I do think its a bit $$ for a thin sweatshirt but the style is preppy enough I think I could wear it to work - so I'll keep it. Surprised it sold out though...hmm.

I love this stylish sweatshirt, but as others have stated, the bottom binding could be tighter. The knit fabric of the binding on the bottom and the cuffs is different than the rest of the shirt and it's stiff. This causes the bottom to flare out. The fit would be much better with a softer rib knit that is more snug. if that wasn't an issue, I'd give it 5 stars. I'm 5 ft. 3 inches tall, 118 lbs, with a 38 inch chest and the medium fits well (except the bottom!) with room for a layer underneath.

When this arrived I wasn't sure about it as the fit isn't the same as on the model. It is not shapely, it does flare out from the midsection to the hips a little bit, making it more boxy. I cpuld tell that the quality was top notch though so I decided to keep it. I paired the gray pullover with a red and white plaid scarf, skinny jeans and tan booties and it looked super cute. Not to mention it is so comfortable and warm! The night I went out, it was only 38 degrees F and I didn't even need to pair this with a coat, but I never was too warm inside the restaurant or my house. This is now my go to pullover and I am looking forward to buying another in a different color!

The sweater in blue was back-ordered and I patiently waited until it was back in stock. I am pleased with the sweater although a few things appear to be a bit off. For one, the color is rather purple than blue (I asked several people how they would describe the color and none said it was blue). Secondly, as other reviewers noted, the fit is not as shown or described. I ordered M (I am 5'6" and 135 lbs) and the sweater is rather wide on me, especially in the middle. I do not see "softly shapes the body", as claimed in the description. That said, I still like it and will keep it.

I adore this sweatshirt and wear it all the time. I own the gray one. I'm usually a medium at LL Bean and that is the size I have in this sweatshirt. I really appreciate the longer length. I usually find LL Bean shirts to be too short for me and I'm only 5'5". This sweatshirt was the perfect length in both body and sleeves. It's very cozy and washes well. I've only line dryed it, as I do all my clothing. I was a little disappointed because the sizing seems inconsistent between colors. I love the gray shirt so much that I ordered the sweatshirt in blue also. The blue one fit me completely differently. It was far too baggy around the middle. So, I give 5 stars to the gray sweatshirt and a 4 because different colors shouldn't fit differently.

This sweatshirt has a more upscale appearance because of the quilting in the front and the 3/4 zipper. It is very comfortable, has the front pocket you can warm your hands in. It is loose fitting so you could put a turtle neck under it. It's still fall here in Maine so I've only worn it without a shirt under it. It is plenty warm for a cool fall day. The 3/4 zipper is a nice look. I bought in size small in blue...nice color.

I was so excited for this to come in and when it did I was not disappointed in terms of style and quality. It truly is a beautiful sweatshirt made incredibly well. BUT L.L. Bean sizing has been frustrating for me. I'm 5'7" and 135lbs so one would think the small would fit as that it what I have in the sweater fleece and a regular fleece. It fits fine on my upper body but flares out on the bottom and looks awkward. I have no hips but even if I did, I like a sweatshirt that fits a bit snug around the bottom and doesn't flare out. I wanted to try an XS in the store but that size is unfortunately unavailable in store and backordered.

I got this sweatshirt for Christmas and it's SO comfortable. It's the perfect weight for me for everyday wear, but only a week after getting it, it got snagged and tore 2 holes in the quilted area. The sleeves hold up just fine, but the quilted area has a very thin fabric layer which seems to tear easily. Normal knit fabrics can "heal" themselves after a minor snag, but the quilted fabric is just too weak and rips.

I bought this for my sister who is petite. I ordered a petite size but she said the length was much too long and she returned it. .

I got this as an Xmas gift. It was very soft and a nice color---but.....
Sweatshirts should be loose, and cut for wearing over tee shirts. But this one was fitted closely thru the hips and stomach. Too bad, I might have bought another one.

Nice color and material, but too snug. Sweatshirts need to be loose & I'm afraid after washing it will be too tight.

I received one of these pullovers for Christmas in navy blue and loved it. It was roomy, warm and comfortable. Decided to buy one in the light blue color and found it tight and sloppy looking. It's a shame but quality control would include consistent sizing. I will be returning it.

I recently bought the dark teal sweatshirt. I am disappointed in the color of the shirt. The online picture shows a lively, bright color shirt. The actual shirt is a dull teal color, very muted. Previously I bought the yellow shirt, same style and am happy with it. Online colors are not always accurate.

I debated returning this top but it was a gift. It's pretty but too long in the torso for a petite. I have to roll the bottom band under to make it look good on me. Sleeves are long too. I ordered the smallest size available.

I have several of these shirts from previous years and this one is not the same. Has a boxier fit and slightly flared bottom which I do not like. Returned it.

Beautiful color, but the collar was sewn in oddly. I couldn't straighten it or lay it down.

I liked the style and weight of this item that I purchased several years ago so wanted to order a replacement. The current item has less cotton in it and it is noticeably not as warm. Also the cadet blue color is no longer an option and this green is too muted. I returned the item and hope next season's offerings return to original weight and a light blue color option.

I have this in maroon and it has been my favorite quarter zip pullover, so I decided to get another color. It looks just the same, the zipper is great, but the new one feels much lighter and thinner. On closer examination, the original was made in Sri Lanka and is mostly cotton, with some polyester, the new one is made in Peru and is made with much less cotton, & with a higher percentage of polyester. As someone who is trying to get away from using polyester, that is very disappointing. I really love my original pullover, I'm sorry LL Bean has made these changes.

The fit and quality of this pullover are fine. It's warm and cozy. However, I ordered the lavender color, and it is more gray than lavender. I am disappointed, but it's too much trouble to send back.
