I ordered several colors of these and all fantastic looking. As with many other reviews, the kangaroo pocket does hang slightly below the seam. These are lighter weight good for layering, spring, or fall. I give these 4 stars for the kangaroo pocket, and as a plus size person I wish these were about 1-1.5 inches longer.

Love this pullover but it runs a size smaller than all my other LL Bean clothing. I am always a L regular, but I needed an XL regular in this. Had to return for an exchange which cost me $6.50. The plum heather with orange trim is a gorgeous color combo!

I love the look, love the fit, love the feel, love the colors, love the style, love that it comes in petite!
Why only 4 stars then?
It's 100% polyester and does not breathe! I wore this to train my dog (in agility) and I got SO hot and sweaty. I'm sure for a mild activity like walking it would be fine and WARM but for a vigorous activity, I found it oppressive.
It claims to wick moisture and dry quickly. Perhaps it does. But I did not like the lack of breathability. I will keep it....I just won't wear it for vigorous activity again!

This is an excellent, lightweight pullover. My only issue with it is what others have mentioned: the pocket. It is not attached at the top which means the fabric of the front pocket slouches down creating an unflattering pouch on my tummy. This is a place I try to hide and it is frustrating that this piece accentuates it rather than helping to hide it. I may make some alterations to the pocket to help with this issue, but in the meantime, I will enjoy this pullover as is!

I am in southern CA so I wanted something on the lighter side, that could provide warmth but not bulk when layered. The raw indigo heather is a nice color and I like just about everything about this, but NOT a fan of the banded bottom. It sort of bunches up at the bottom rather than lay flat so it needs to keep being pulled down...if this did not have a banded bottom, it would be almost perfect. I am 5'7, regular build and the small was fine, with room for layering underneath.

I bought this as an overshirt, and really like the fabric and the look, but it is very hard to slide off of any other material other than something silky and slide-y. Trying to get it off over cotton, or, even worse, fleece, is nearly impossible. I suggest buying a size larger if planning to use it as an overshirt. I am going to switch to using it as a first layer and finding something loose to go over it. I really like the appearance and weight, but it should have been styled as a full button-down.

The grey color is nice, the fit is good and the fabric is soft.
A little boxy by the waist but overall a good casual shirt.

I really like these pullovers. I bought one (dark grey) and I liked it enough to buy another one a few weeks later. The second one I bought was the chickory (dark red) color--I really like the contrast color trim. I'd buy a third if that coral-y/tomato-y red color comes back!
These add a nice layer of warmth if you're outside, but I can also wear one comfortably indoors all day without getting too hot, even with a flannel shirt underneath.
I will say I have noticed a little bit of pilling of the threads and pulled stitching. I hope these end up being durable.

I really like the weight of the fabric and the colors. One issue I have with the pullover is the front pouch. The top of the pocket is not stitched to the garment so if you put anything of weight (I.e. your cell phone or keys) in the pocket the pocket lining stretches and ends up hanging below the waist line of the garment.
I would love to have this fabric available in an xxs, full front zip, with no hood. That would make me very happy.

Love this pullover. Super lightweight and comfy, fits pretty true to size and got the raisin color, I love it. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the backing for the pocket is super thin, so if anything is in the pocket it hangs out below the hem. Even just my keys. Overall though, I love it!

I purchased the storm blue color which is a really pretty shade of green. I love the light weight feel of this pullover. Perfect for a cool summer night. I like the front kangaroo pocket and the contrast piping. With that being said, the petite XS is very small. Very short in the body and the sleeves are too short as well. It falls just at the waist line, right around my belt. The sleeves hit just above my wrist bone when my arms are at my side. When I lift my arms the sleeves are a good inch or more above my wrist bone. The fabric from the kangaroo pocket also hangs down and you can see it peeking out from under the pullover. Otherwise, I like this top enough that I wear it at least once a week and would definitely purchase another one...I would just be sure to size up.

Purhased this for a recent trip to Alaska. Great weight and warmth for a variety of weather conditions. The only complaint I have is with rhe lining of the front 'kangaroo' pocket. It was too thin and didn't hold simple things-like a cell phone or keys.without sagging out from the bottom hem. I think I could tack it up or pin it up, but it isnt a great look and it's not as if I wastrying to carry a lot of things in it. Other than that, I liked the garment and I actually saw a few other people wearing this and other iterations of this style on our trip.

I wish I could have kept this pullover. It was sooo lightweight, and I loved the light raisin color. The medium fit me great everywhere except the arms - the sleeves were far too short. From past experience I know that buying a Tall would have meant the entire pullover would be too large. Alas...

I like the feel and light weight of the garment. However it did not keep me warm when visiting cool windy New Hampshire last week. It was more like a shirt level of protection

I ordered this in a small originally but the sleeves were about 2 inches too long. I returned it for a petite small, and it fits great. I have not worn it yet but like the light weight fabric. Will take it to Europe in September. I would prefer it not have the L.L. Bean logo on the front --- no logo would be better.

Got this in Large, it's a little bit tight but I know the XL would be far too big so I'm keeping it. Very comfy, nice material. Thought it had front pockets but no, just a slot for warming your hands which I'd never do on a hike for fear I'd trip & fall on my face! Zippered pockets would be a nice upgrade on this, especially for the price.

Like this top a lot, but color was more orangey than the cherry red I was expecting. Should be good for sailing & walking as the Vt summer gets cooler.

I purchased this in the bright coral color, and I get lots of compliments. I do wish it were a little more form fitting in the waist, and I don't like the band at the bottom of the garmet, but otherwise I really enjoy this piece.

Fits well, comfortable, nice style. Thick decal with L.L. Bean Label on the front is a distraction, love the look other than that.

Nice fit and style but not so thrilled with the material. The horizontal ribbed texture is fine but the material itself doesn't seem to be clothing material. I still kept it in the Storm Teal and the Raw Indigo heather, would just have to wear a comfortable long sleeve layering shirt. Also, the pullover has a kangaroo pocket and the material used really stretches that's why it sags easily. You cannot even keep your hands in the pockets without the lining showing below the hemline.

Although I am normally a petite, I got this in a regular size because I like the sleeves to be a little long. Thin material makes layering easy. Nice and warm. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the colors are drab (except the red/orange one). Please make more feminine colors!!

This is a light top with a silky feel on the inside. If temp is in the 50's, I wear a light weight wool underlayer. The color is unique and love it. My only complaint is the llbean label on the chest area. Labels on the outside of clothes make me feel like a walking billboard. I think labels will become culturally pass. I am going to try removing it.

This pullover is lightweight and comfy. Not particularly warm and the fit is a little small. I am so used to everything being too big for me, so was surprised when this wasn't. A short sleeve tee fits easily underneath but would need to size up for something heavier. It is a little short in length - another inch would be better for me. Considered returning for a regular, but the sleeve length in the petite is good. There is some pilling with long stringy fibers on the exterior of the fabric after only two wearings, which I carefully snipped off. Too soon to know if this will be a continuing problem. The kangaroo pocket is unusable due to the lightness of fabric and garment would be better without it. The LL Bean logo is too big and loud. There are a lot of minor negatives, but I liked it well enough to keep.

You sacrifice something with respect to warmth and wind resistance to get breathability. It's not warm enough by itself for higher elevations, but It dries fairly rapidly if it gets wet and washes well on the gentle cycle.
