Unhappy with new length of Pima Cotton Short-Sleeve V-Neck X-Large Petite sizing. It is too long! I've been buying Women's X-Large Petite Pima Cotton Short-Sleeve V-Neck and Crew Neck T-Shirts for about 10 years and have always been happy with them. I received the new V-Neck T-Shirts in Beach Glass and Raven Blue a couple of weeks ago and washed them as usual and put them in the drawer. Today I put on the new V-Neck in Beach Glass and discovered the length was much longer than previously purchased T-Shirts. I checked it against the previous purchases in Petite X-Large size and found it was 2 inches longer. The 2 new Crew Neck Pima Cotton Short Sleeve X-Large Petite are the same length as the others that I have purchased in the past but are 2 inches shorter than the new V-Neck style.

Ordered two pima cotton shirts, size 3x, as that is what always fit me. These were 2 inches longer , measured against the previous purchases, and seemed baggy across the torso. Now I will have to find a new source or be satisfied with what I have.

I purchased 3 of these pima cotton. When you first wear them, they are perfect. After the first wash, which is cold water and line drying, they shrink and the bottom becomes stretched out and sloppy looking. I have purchased these pima cotton years back and this fabric is not the same. Costs too much to ship back.

I purchased the same shirt in navy and black. They fit great. So I decided to order one in white. The white shirt is a different cut. It's smaller through the neckline, shoulders and bust.

Nice color, good fit. Did not like the fabric. Although I love, and have worn, your Pima Cotton Tees for years, this shirt had too much artificial fabric - perhaps Lycra? Not sure what the fabric mix was, but it is different from your earlier Pima Cotton shirts. I returned the shirt.

a lot of your tees are too warm for us in the south. I love the short sleeve tees but this year they are either sown down the middle (yuk) or too thin (organic I guess.) I live in Texas. I have been buying your tees for sometime but recently the quality has changed. Also, hard to get stains out of pima.

The fabric is nice. By relaxed, I expected something closer to the old "shaped" sizing of a few years ago. This is ok in the shoulders and chest but way too long and clingy otherwise. I sent the shirts back. My preference is a shirt that stops at the high hip that needs no rolling or bunching. Loved the old Shaped style.

They're great shirts, if the length works for you, but see below for the warning. A 5 star garment has lost 2 stars and my business. I guess the design has changed, not for the better, in my opinion.I have been buying these shirts for several years, and have loved them. But these did not fit as well. FACTS: My oldest shirts are 13" from bottom of armhole to hem. Newer ones are 15". I guess I could live with that (despite the mid-life bulge). They do NOT shrink with washing, but I line dry. This order? 17.5" and 16.75" long!!!! I'm not getting taller. I buy petite because I need that in sleeve length, pants length, and shirt length. I can hem these or simply return them. You let me down L.L.
IDEA: Would Bean consider listing length in the description? I have seen this for shirts (not just skirts and pants) on some sites. It is incredibly helpful. I didn't think I would ever need that for a petite garment.

I agree with other reviewers, these tees are too long. I ordered a lovely color and liked it well enough that I paid to have the shirt shortened! These longer lengths must be made for wear with the low rider pants that are so popular these days - but not everyone wears that style. Too bad because the quality and color is great!

This tee is made well. The weight of the fabric is perfect and is true to size but unfortunately it is too short on me. I have several shirts from L.L. Bean and this is the case with all of them. These shirts need to be at least 2 inches longer so that when I move my arms my whole stomach doesn't show. I unfortunately have 4 shirts I barely wear for this reason but wanted to give them a try and have had them too long to return them. The short length makes me look bigger than I am as well. Doesn't sit right on my body.

First the pluses: the fabric is perfect weight--not too thick or too thin and is a lovely soft and smooth cotton. And the longer length is good--I quit buying the pima t shirts a long time ago because, as other reviewers have pointed out they were too short and boxy and would shrink even more. This t shirt is much more flattering and stylish with the length and fitting closely (but not clingy). The only negative is (and LL Bean is not the only company to do this) the weird, what I call "bat wings" underarms--when did this become a thing?! Too much fabric in the underarm area looks weird when raising the arms and also causes a wrinkle above the breasts when your arms are down. Maybe it was the two t shirts I received because the picture does not show this. Please fix this and offer more colors for the perfect t shirt. I am 5' 5", 146# and got a size Large Misses.

I have sensitive skin so I always buy Bean's pima cotton tee shirts. This shirt had the same great quality pima cotton but now whomever makes the shirts uses cheap nylon thread for the stitching and it rubs on my skin until I scratch myself to death. Why ruin a perfectly wonderful shirt with cheap thread?? Please stop doing this because I think you have lost me as a customer. I thought LL Bean would not sacrifice quality like most other manufacturers have. Disappointed.

Compared to the same shirt in a crew neck style the V neck variety is always too big. Seems more like a medium even though I order an extra small. Disappointing......

I like the look of this shirt, but don't really care for the fit. I'm overweight and the shirt hangs on my love handles. Would look good on a thinner person. Wish L.L. Bean would make women's plus sizes out of the same material as the men's!

Soft cotton. Very comfy. I found it true to size. medium. 5"6" 135#. HOWEVER, after laundering, I hung up the shirt and noticed the inside seamless tag was visible from the outside of the shirt. It also buckled in that area, and was very noticeable. Disappointing. Now I can no longer wear the tshirt alone, but will have to make sure to have a jacket over it. Would not recommend this tshirt due to the quality issue of the tag showing/bucking fabric in the back

I have nearly a dozen of these tees in my closet. I order the usual size and this one is too small. I'm very disappointed.

BUT the fit is terrible, very VERY boxy cut, no shape to it. Feel it was overpriced VS the older versions of this shirt or similar shirts.

I bought these and they are almost a crop top. A 'tall' version would be better. Nice fabric and fit otherwise.

This tee was not consistent with LLBean quality. Petite and it was 3 inches too long. Very sloppy looking. I should have returned it.

LL Bean's pima shirts have always been tricky to get stains out of, but they used to respond well to things like Shout, Oxi-clean stain spray, or a Tide pen. But the last few times I've used a stain remover on these shirts, it left unsightly lighter-colored spots all around the stain and didn't remove it! I probably won't buy these any more, and they were a staple of my wardrobe. Did you change the fabric or the dyes?

This t-shirt is of fairly good quality. The problem is that I ordered teal green, and you can see from the photo that it is more of a forest green.

I've been wearing the pima tees for many years but I feel the quality is not what it used to be. I ordered this shirt in Muted Plum. The color is pretty but after one wash it has become splotchy. The shirt is already developing a hole at the front where it covers the button front of my jeans or slacks (I never tuck my shirts in). Almost every tee I've gotten from LLBean both this season and last have ended up with these tiny holes in the front. It's frustrating because LLBean clothing isn't inexpensive. The fit across different colors is inconsistent as well. Just like most things the price goes up and the quality goes down. Disappointing.
