There doesn't seem to be any consistency in sizing from style to style nor from one year to the next. I ordered same size as last year, some styles fit, some don't. Hassle to exchange.

I've purchased many shirts of this style from many different companies and have found that too many of them shrink in length so quickly which, for me, make them unwearable. I thought if I paid a bit more like these at llbean, I might have a shirt that will remain long enough to cover my behind. I ordered three of these in three different colors and have washed each of them just once. The black one measures 2 inches longer than the other two! So disappointed!

These are nice quality shirts but I won't buy any more of the long sleeved because for myself I'd like them to be longer at the waist. After washing they shrink up to be just too short for my personal taste. As example, after washing,they don't come down even as far as the top of the back pocket of my jeans. The sleeve length is adequate. The similar short sleeved v-neck t's are a good 2" longer even after washing, I'll stick with the longer waisted short sleeve t's for now.

Rich is exactly how I'd describe the turquoise color. It's nice and the fabric is very smooth. But after washing in cold water, the petite small was only 20 1/2 inches long. I didn't measure before washing but tried it on and I'm sure that washing shortened the tee. It is also a little more fitted than I expected. The shoulder seams are just right so I don't know if I should size up.

I keep coming back to you, hoping for a version that is 3 inches longer. So many people have asked - I don't get it. These are simply too short and they get shorter in the dryer. Make them in a tall and I would buy them in bulk.

Ok, colors are important to me. I wanted to love this top. I love Pima cotton. Fits well. The crew neckline was a little confining, but ok. The dealbreaker is this shirt was labeled "rich turquoise" and the photo was a beautiful rich turquoise. In real life, it's a dull, muted blue. Think of the ocean--its color can only reflect the sky above. This was the ocean on a grey cloudy day--dull--not very joyful. Very disappointed. Will return it.

I have another shirt exact same size - small petite and it fits perfectly. This one is tight in the bust and the sleeves are too short. Very disappointed. This has happened several times with llbean. I have something I like so I order another one with the same order numbers and the fit is totally different. So disappointing

The first time I wore it I got some oil on it and it would not come out. I pre-treated and washed twice. Came out looking worn out a little. Thought would keep look longer.

This shirt fits well in the shoulders and around the torso. However, it is about an inch too short in the arms and 2 - 3 inches too short in the torso for me. I am fairly tall, but small shirts usually fit me well and are long enough. I offered the shirts to my 5'6" daughter, but she said they are too short for her, too. The fabric and construction are great. If you are not tall, it will probably work for you.

I have many LLBean pima cotton tees. My older long-sleeve red one is a true red, by that I mean that I can wear it during the Christmas season. However, it has a snag in it. The "Maritime Red" that I purchased as a replacement won't do for the holiday season. It has much more of a salmon colored hue. Perhaps the creative marketing person who named it "Maritime Red" had in mind the "tomato soup" red often worn by boat owners in New England. I'm looking more for the red of Rudolph the reindeer's red nose for Christmas. I'll keep this one since I applied a coupon and discount to it and got a good price. It will look good in autumn.

I agree with some of the other reviews that the item runs a little small. I'm 5'7" and proportionate but the shirt is short waisted. Not sure if ordering a larger size would have helped. The fabric had a very strong chemical smell when it arrived but was able to eliminate that with washing before wearing. Overall not my favorite item I have purchased from LL Bean.

I think the shirt was not long enough. I like longer length tops.

Purchased 2 different colors of this Tee, a Black and a "Ocean" color. The black was, well, Black. However, the Ocean was considerably off the color shown on line or in the catalog. In addition, the promised delivery date was moved twice, so it made it hard to tell the recipient of this gift when to be around to avoid "porch pirates"

So very soft. I loved these tees. After a few washings, the length shrinks almost to my waistline, and I'm short (5'1"). Please make these in a longer length to compensate for the shrinkage.

It shrunk! I washed it in warm water and dried it on low heat. It shrunk up, not in. So sad. I buy petite because it fits my frame best. If I buy a Misses S, the sleeves are too long and the shoulders are too wide. The PS fits me wonderfully ... if it doesn't shrink.

I usually wear either small or medium depending on the source. After trying this tee on in the store, I bought the small as it was very loose and long. I figured that after shrinkage, it would fit perfectly. Nope. The neckline is tight, the shoulders too narrow and the sleeves are an inch and a half too short. Very disappointed. Buy a size up. You won't know if it will fit until you wash it.

While I liked the color and feel of the fabric, the shirt runs short in the body and the sleeve length. It's about 1 1/2 inches shorter than other tops I own. I'm tall but I don't usually have a problem with sleeve or torso length. It is a fitted tee, but if it shrinks any after being laundered in cold water It's being returned.

It is lighter weight than I had hoped for, but it will be OK for between seasons. I really would like a shirt that has rib knitting on the cuff so that the arms wouldn't fall down to fingertip length. I have short arms. Colors of the shirts are good. I'd buy it again, if I couldn't find something with more weight and the rib knitting.

I purchased size large, which usually fits me fine with a variety of clothing vendors. The material on these shirts is very nice, but it's not a size large. I washed in gentle cold water and did a very light dryer, but the shirt shrank significantly and it barely comes past my waist.

The fabric is wonderful, although the colors (the pink) need "brightening", and as a short person, 5'3", this is a very short shirt, it really needs to be at least 3" longer, and I wouldn't mind 4". I like my shirts to be able to be tucked in and stay, and if I'm wearing it over something, I want it to cover me. Make them longer and in brighter clear colors, they will be perfect- love the 100% high quality cotton!

The fabric and color are nice. I wear it under short-sleeve t-shirts to make them functional in cold weather. I wish the sleeves were longer.

I wear nothing but LLBean tees. Have for years. They're just basic and are perfect for my work. Presentable. Not flashy. Last for years. I was not happy with the fit. It seemed longer than the ones I have bought before. I like a more boxy fit. I washed it straight from the bag and when I put it on discovered I did not like it. I prevailed on LLBean's remarkable return policy, calling them,telling them I had washed it and yet never worn. They couldn't have been nicer and said I could absolutely return for a refund. What store does that. I have been a customer of this store for over 50 years and will continue to be.

I began by purchasing my actual size, PL, in these pima shirts. True to size, but only temporarily. They kept shrinking in spite of close attention to laundry instructions. The last shirts I ordered were regular XL, to accommodate the problem. Now, they just keep getting wider and shorter with each trip through the laundry until the fit becomes entirely unacceptable. I will try again from time to time, just in case this problem is corrected, because the pima cotton has a wonderful, silky feel. They are lovely (when new) worn alone or under a sweater or jacket.

These shirts are great, but I like the button down cardigans better. They can be worn in any season. You all kept the other cardigans in pima cotton. Please reconsider bringing back the long sleeve cardigans. They are really comfortable, easy to wash, and maintain their colors. I was looking forward to ordering more of them.

Loved these shirts and ordered three but they all shrunk down a size after laundering once including the length.ill return and try the xl and hope they only shrink to the size i need. Nice medium weight pima cotton.
