I fell in love with this sweater the moment I tried it on. Unfortunately, after one gentle hand-washing, using cold water and cashmere shampoo, reshaping and lying flat to air dry, the sweater shrank almost a full size and is now unwearable for me because it's way too tight and short. I'm a newer customer of LL Bean and have been enjoying many of the items I purchased recently, but I am so bummed about this one. I have had lots of cashmere sweaters over the years and take impeccable care of them, but this one disappointed me by how much it shrank. I wish I had ordered one size larger to account for this amount of shrinkage.

I originally intended to rate this sweater 5 stars. It was comfortable and, the raspberry color looked great on me. Sadly, I just washed it the first time, as recommended, even put it in a laundry bag so it wouldn't catch on anything. My husband emptied the washer, and was getting ready to lay it flat to dryand saw a hole in the middle front of the sweater. He continued laying it out and found 4 more holes. Yikes! I'm a knitter and know that holes in the middle of sweaters, means the joinings of yarns, are not secure. (That or the yarn is not spun well.) Either way, it shouldn't happenespecially in 5 different places!

The sweater is very thin and I will be returning it.

It was falling apart upon trying on and material was below what I want from LLbean.

Bean's quality is typically good, but not this product. I bought two, and both developed a hole after the first wash, most likely because of the way they're knitted. Very disappointing and a waste of my money

Really strange fit. Not even sure what went wrong here but this was the weirdest fit I've tried from LLBean. The arms were saggy and the body was shapeless.

I purchased this sweater in March and had put it back and just started wearing it and washed on a gentle cycle and was lying out to flat dry and noticed small holes in the back. I will be returning it. I loved it, but this should not have happened. I am always very careful washing and go by the washing instructions.

I always order a large from llbean,and they fit me perfectly. I washed this sweater before I wore it because it had a funny smell . It is too small to wear because it shrank. Waste of money and big disappointment.

Washed garment according to directions and after only 1 wash, the knot started unraveling at the collar.

I'm pretty disappointed. It runs very large. I exchanged for a smaller size and I think it was a return. I reeked of disinfectant and the price tag and size sticker were missing. I complained and was sent another. That one is fine, except it stretched way out and the yarn is so thin in places that I think it will not last long. I do like the color, it's a subtle denim blue. Unfortunately I just had a similar problem with a pima cotton top, which I returned. I've purchased many things from LLBean for more than 45 years with no problems, so I'm disappointed.

No shapejust hangs on the shoulders. The sleeves are longer than expected.

I returned it. The arm length was about 2 inches above my wrist. In past years large had sleeves plenty long. It is why I usually get size large even though it means the sweater might be a bit looser than necessary. The sweater was not nearly as nice a fabric as I hoped, too.

Ordered this again this spring, have it in mint green and lavender from last year in size medium. Love the sweater, but ordered a medium, it was very small, arms short, tight fit. Reordered a large, it was also too small. Something is wrong with the sizing in this sweater this spring.

It was very small. The chest and arms were tight as if it should be sized differently. I returned this the next day. The fabric was not up to your quality.

I liked the sweater very much,but it have several holes along the bottom. Also very very long.

Loved this sweater out of the package, it was perfect for spring. I washed it the delicate cycle and when I went to fry it, there was a huge hole in it. There were also several smaller holes starting. I was very disappointed to return it.

These sweaters shrink after the first washing. And the sizing is inconsistent. I sent back 2 of the exact same sweater because they were 4 inches shorter than this one in the torso & sleeve length. It's a product of mass production without any QA.

This sweater turned out to be a disappointment. After I washed it on cold and hang dry it looked like a childrens size Had to return Styling and fabric was nice though

I returned it. It was defective. There was a hole on the front from a loose stitch. Also, it was made in a different country from the first one I bought, and it didn't look as nice as my green one. It had a flimsy appearance.

Washed on delicate in a lingerie bag before wear. Dried flat. Sweater has snags and holes. I believe these are flaws in the slub knit. Going back to Bean for reimbursement. Will not reorder.

Nice soft fabric but doesn't hold its shape after first washing looks like a mess
