I've worn a size 10 long in swimsuits for decades.I'm still the same size but the last 4 sutis I've tried are still a bit short (I'm only 5'5" but have a very long torso). I might have still been able to wear them except for other problems, the worse being the cut of the backeven though the legs are cut moderatley, they pull up in the back exposing what I'd rather not have exposed! I think the elastic is too loos ein the back, even though I have quite large thighs, and/or the seat is just not cut right. I've never experienced this problem with Bean suits before. In fact, overall the suit seems cut oddly. Additionally, the back is not lined, the shoulder straps, although the right length for me, feel ike they would fall off in the water, and the suit is very difficult to pull over the hips (I guess due to the 'slimming design'). I also can't stand the soft cup foam bras you are now using; they would be very uncomfortable for actual swimming or water exercises! How about using the lightly padded polyester ones or make the pads removable and even offer some styles with simple shelf bras? Would also love to have racer back or adjsutable cross straps, which are much more comfortable and easier to swim and exercise in. The one positive is the style in general (if cut were better and it didn't have the awful heavy foam cups), with the cross top and shirring which is flattering, though I'd much prefer it without the so-called slimming design. That feature really doesn't seem to do anything but make it difficult to get on. Very disapointed this year in the Bean sutis, will have to look elsewhere unfortunatley though I usually get all my and my husband's clothes form Bean. I do always apprecaite the good customer sevice and the simple return process, but it's getting tiring having to send waht used to be reliable products bac due to unexpected changes.

Just the suit I was looking for. The color and print are lovely. The slimming panel was comfortable. The fit not quite perfect. The soft cup bra is comfortable and almost large enough, but shifts around when swimming. I would need to put a stitch or two in the neckline, which displays too much cleavage. The leg openings are quite high, a more modest cut or better elastic would keep the rear from riding up. These features are okay, but acceptable, but then the straps slip down when swimming. The suit is fine if you wear it for sitting on the beach, but sadly doesn't work if you want to swim. A t-strap, racer-back would be great.

I loved everything about this suit except for the fact it creeped up my butt-cheeks. I even tried ordering the long thinking that would help but it didn't. I don't have a big bum - maybe not enough back there to hold it in place. I tried to convince myself to keep it but I finally decided the continual snuggie would drive me crazy. Sadly it's going back.

After only 3-4 wears in pool it faded a lot. Now after about 2 months of use it's more faded than any suit I've ever owned, even ones with years of use.

I had hoped to find a well fitting swimsuit from LL Bean, who make many of my clothes I really like.I ordered it online, in my usual size, without trying it on first. It arrived very wrinkled and stretched out looking, (like the old one I was trying to replace). It was very large and fitted badly, sagging open under the straps and bagging in the seat. It had no shaping qualities at all. I was so disappointed that I brought it into a local LL Bean store and asked the employee if it looked liked liked the usual swimsuit. She was very helpful and checked the size, which was the one I ordered, but said it it appeared to be a much larger size than marked. I returned it.

Totally miss- sized. Ordered a size 12 and it falls off my shoulders when I'm in the pool.

Purchased the dark navy print suit, lined nicely in the front using black lining as they should. But for some reason they decided to use bright white in the back. I like my suits bigger, so trust me the fabric wasn't pulling. The back showed the white lining making appear like it was 2 different fabrics. Ugh!

The dark green lining in the front half of the suit causes a shadow shading that differs between the lined front half and the unlined back half of the suit. Plus the shaping control doesn't work unless the whole suit is lined. The side seams simply pull forward and there is no shaping due to the design. I prefer this wrap style but want lining front and back for this price.

I'm so disappointed in this suit. From the front it looks amazing, but in the back, it's like I'm wearing nothing at all. It's completely sheer. It really should be lined in the back. I have the same suit in another color and it is also unlined but not sheer like this color was (Darkest Navy/Cobalt Dot Stripe). Had to send it back.

After I purchased this beautiful suit I wore it to swim. I the bottom leg openings are too wide making the suit ride up. It was too late to return this suit since I had already used it.

Wore once when I realized the two different colors. There is a lining in the front and white lining in the back which makes it a different color. I purchased this style suit many times in other colors and loved them.

Beyond disappointing. It looked like two different fabrics were used to construct this swimsuit. The back was almost transparent in contrast to the rich color of the front. Unless you're Bianca Censori, don't bother.

Disappointed. No support. Manufacturers and designers have an opportunity to fill an unfulfilled need: colorful, supportive (underwire), suits. Supportive suits come in black only. Underwire has gotten a bum rap. It's time to change that. Padding (often inaccurately described as lining) is not supportive or flattering unless you are flat chested. Padding requires less skill and is probably cheaper but it does not do the job.

Tried this swimsuit on in front of a mirror and was very pleased with the look in the front, but then I turned around and could see that the entire back of the swimsuit fabric is see through! I could clearly see my skin through the suit, freckles and all. The front is lined with a black, supportive mesh, but the back is not lined at all and the inside of the fabric is white, allowing light to pass right through it. I removed the suit and held that back fabric up in front of my face and I could see clearly through it. There is no way this blocks UV rays in the back.

Why is the front of the suit lined and not the back? Back is practically see through and a different color than the front when wearing. Very disappointed. Cute suit and style, but not for me. I will be returning it.

I have two LLBean swimsuits in size 12 and they are safely snug. This one is NOT. Worse - the straps are not adjustable and would be a constant wardrobe malfunction. I'm annoyed I didn't notice returns aren't free unless I get the particular credit card.

Just received order. Trying on the cute suit, I was so bummed to find my backside was mostly sheer. The stretch of fabric allows it to be seen through. Returning.

The front it lined very nicely. Beautiful suit. Perfect fit. BUT the back is a single layer of fabric that's see through. I was shocked. Quality is lacking. Even if I didn't care about the sheer back of the bathing suit the material is so thin I think it would wear out after a season in the pool. This photo is the bathing suit stretched around a kids ball and it's so thin you can see the spider man showing through. Not willing to risk wearing this suit at the beach or in the pool.
