These shorts look great on. Perfect length and waist height. They are the most comfortable shorts I have ever owned. Soft, stretchy and thin but still hold their shape. Great for everything from hiking to shopping.

I originally purchased medium, loved them, but they were a bit large. I returned them for small and really love them. I purchased three pair in all and will probably get more as that's all I've worn this summer! They are fabulous for camping, especially in the very hot weather we've had. With no binding in the waist and a choice wearing them long or short, I'm hoping they are around (in more colors) for a long time. The hem curls a bit when dried in the dryer, but I usually hang them to dry.

Love these shorts - roomy, lightweight and comfortable, and lots of pockets! The flexible tie waist is great - the waist is never too tight or too loose. I get compliments when I wear them rolled up or down, and the 'faded brick' color is great!

These shorts are super comfy just like the rip stop pants. They are loose fitting. I ordered another pair.

These are the nicest looking, most comfortable shorts, with a flexible forgiving waistband that doesn't look like you were searching for or needed a flexible forgiving waistband! Washes well, and the color is gorgeous!

These shorts are just as great as the capris and pants. Well made and comfortable.

Comfortable, good quality. Very happy with these. Only minor problem - my measurements showed I needed large, but they're too big. Ordered medium which were a bit tight but fit. After washing medium in cold water and line drying, seemed to shrink a little so for now I'm wearing baggy large and may have to return medium. Still glad I got them.

Love these shorts and will probably buy more in different colors. I usually take petite sizing, but these fit best in regular. They are tie-waist but don't billow at the hip. They are more comfortable that almost any shorts I own.

Great feel to the fabric. Love the style as the roll up creates the perfect length. Nice size pockets. Wish I had bought two pair.

The shorts are a good fit, I am 5'4" 145 lbs size is large, fabric is soft but sturdy. They wash up well and I have let mine air dry, not much wrinkling. My first pair was a gift, I have since purchased two additional pairs and all of the colors are nice. Very pleased.

I'm 5'4", 213 lbs and 67-years old. My waist and hip measurements aren't that much different from each other so it's always difficult for me to find shorts (and jeans, with a 29" inseam). No Barbie waist and not much of a butt. These shorts (20 reg) fit perfectly. If I were to order a 20W, they would be too baggy in the butt and hips. I bought 2 pair to supplement the four I have begun to wear out from daily use 9-10 months a year. Did I mention that I live in Arizona? I do not wear them rolled up, as shown in the picture. Men must design women's casual wear because while the depth of the front pockets is "okay", they still aren't deep enough for my Apple 11 pro or small wallet. Pockets lay flat with minimal bulge, even at my robust size. I will admit to being disappointed when these replaced the cargo shorts. I know cargo shorts aren't for everyone. But the convenience of the multiple and deep pockets was great for walks/hikes, on mountain and desert trails. My phone and other belongings felt secure. These shorts are a good replacement and probably more appealing to many women than cargo shorts. They wash incredibly well and I never had any shrinkage. I love the waistband and ties. They prevent cutting into your waist, especially if you're feeling bloated (it happens to all of us, ladies). These have been very well tested by me since they first became available. I own every color. In my case, they ran true to size and fit my personal shape perfectly. Can't recommend them highly enough.

These shorts are 98 per cent cotton and 2 per cent spandex. It was a big reason that I bough them. I am chunky, and to be honest, I thought for sure that the LARGE would have been the size for me. BUT NO, for some reason, I fit into the medium AND I bought few of them at first. Now I own all 3 colors (except the taupe shade) and I probably have 12 pairs. I wear them every day and they wash beautifully. Best shorts I ever bought from LL Bean. Give them a try but you might want to go down a size. Thanks LL Bean. Be sure to make more colors for next year. Terrific item. Lori

Really comfortable and attractive short. Runs a little large and waist is roomy but a plus for me, and it has drawstring to cinch it in if I need to. Bought 2 pairs and love them!

Rip stop pull on shorts. I really like these, fits true to size and having the option to roll up the cuffs is an added bonus!

I bought two pairs of these shorts, because they fit well and feel more natural (less synthetic) than many other pairs I've encountered. I like the snaps on both back pockets and the versatility of wearing the legs rolled up or down. The waist tie has metal caps on its ends, instead of cheap plastic ones, which is an unexpectedly nice feature. So far, they've also washed well. I suspect that the weakest point on these shorts over time may end up being the waistband, because it has metal grommets that the waist tie pulls through,

I love the ripstop material and the shorts fit perfectly. I just noticed there is a button for shortening if I choose to do so.
