These pants are the most dependable pants I've had in a long time. They do wrinkle and you can't iron or use clothes softener in the rinse cycle or use the dryer sheets. The wrinkles get softer as you wash and wear them. I don't know anything about the pilling, mine never did that. I've never had a one. Must follow all the washing and drying recommendations though. They are too expensive to be sure and I bet the cost keeps people from buying them, maybe not. I had to go down 2 sizes, 2 exchanges by UPS. So no pilling but too large in my book.

I have 4 pair of these in different colors but now that they are a few years old, they are all getting fuzz balls in the crotch area. Same thing's happening to my daughter. I wash on delicate and dry on low.
LL Bean, we can't be the only ones! Please improve these favorite pants.

I like these, although not as much as the rip stop capris I bought in the Spring. The are fairly comfortable, but the fabric seems to attract pet hair. I will stay with the rip stop style the next time I need new capris.

Very comfortable and cool, with the right amount of stretch. They wash well and dry quickly.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Way too big. But cute, well made and the turquoise green is a great color. 5'7 160 lbs. I ordered both the Large and Extra large because I am usually somewhere between. The large are a little bit big but passable. I am sent for a Medium so I can compare. I wanted something comfy to wear when I play with my great grandson on the floor and also something to wear working in my garden.

Positive: Very cute and stylish when the side leg is scrunched up and tied into a bow.
Negative: I wish the elastic waist was a firmer elastic without a tie cord.
I always tuck in the tie cord (without doing up the tie) because I like my Pima tops on the outside to lay smooth, if I tied the tie on the outside it would make a lump under my top.

I like these a lot but they are thinner than I expected so I'm using them as PJ pants rather than outdoor wear.

These are really good outdoor summer pants. I would ask that Bean redesign them, however, so the cargo pockets are big enough to hold a smart phone.

Really wanted to love these camp pants. The material and all of the feature are awesome, but I just couldn't get the fit right. The S would have worked if the drawstring was functional, and the XS was just a bit snug. Since I was in between sizes they both went back.

These crops are my new favorites for around the house in the summertime. When I come in from a sweaty walk or gardening session, these are the perfect crops to change into. They are lightweight, silky and cool. The pockets are not as functional as I like. That's one reason I mainly wear them around the house. I have the blue and the almond color I would get another if they had a brown or tan.

Great pant, but the metal end of the string came off the first time I washed it.

These are very comfortable.. The pockets aren't great. The cargo pockets are small and have an odd shaped flap, so things in the pockets fall out when I sit down.

I bought these pants to wear on a trip to Costs Rica. I love the material. It is cool and dry's quickly perfect for humid weather and for coverage from bugs. It was just what I was looking for. As for the fit I thought, they are unattractive. After a time they seemed to stretch out and become baggy. A big disappointment there.

I have a pair of Vista camp pants and i love them. Since i ljve in Southern CA i figured i would love the capris, too. They are the same great light material, but the length is too long for me. I like my capri to be just below the knee, not just above the ankle. The material on my pants did start to 'ball up' after many washes. I havent had the capris long enough to know if these will do the same.

These pants are a nice weight and drape attractively. They have a good selection of pockets to utilize if you don't carry a purse. Great for a hot summer day. My only disappointment is that they snag easily.

Comfortable pants. The nylon makes me hot, but otherwise I really like the pants.

Love these pants. They were perfect for a long plane ride. I wish the cinch on the cuffs stayed a little better

I have the long version of these and decided to order the capris. Just like the long version they're well made and very comfortable. I originally ordered them in my usual size medium, but it was a bit large so I returned it for the small and that fit perfectly. (I have the medium in the long pants and I probably should have exchanged them for a small as well). I can highly recommend these but you may have to downsize.

Leg ties needed altering to make more functional. It seems like the intent is to tie the side leg cinches but I found that impractical. I purchased then knowing I would add my own pinch slides. Once I did this they we great.
If not for that I would have given them 5 stars.

Practical, expandable pants for a trip but I do not like the extremely lightweight fabric. It may be sturdy but I wish it had a better feel and weight.

Runs big. I am 5-4 & 126 lbs & I needed to return the middle for a small. Very roomy
