These are super-comfortable, have tons of pockets, and look nice enough for running errands in addition to hiking! My only issue is that the fabric is slightly prone to snagging, and the stitching is very prone to coming undone, especially on the seam above the knees. Of course LL Bean will take them back within a year, but it's a bummer these pants that are perfect in every other way have this flaw with the stitching! I put "true to size" in that they're true to LL Bean's sizing, which I find is more generous than other brands. I wear a L or XL but usually an XL, or 12/14, in most brands, and these L pants are plenty roomy. Also, I do have some MT pants from LL Bean that fit well, but in MT these were very long on me. The regular length hits right around the ankle but since I usually cinch the ankle opening, it looks fine.

These pants are so comfortable and easy to slide with the stretchy waistband (yet fashionable). Lots of pockets. Main pockets have zippers that zip up; always a plus! I was so happy to find these! The only drawback is my phone is quite large and it just fits in the pocket. But it does fit. I've already worn them biking, hiking, and camping. They're my new go-to pants for nights and weekends in Wisconsin. I'm 5'1" and the petite is perfect.

Love the pants. Have several pairs. I would prefer if the draw string around the waist could be removed.

The pants are lightweight and are great for muggy days outside or for protection from wind and rain. In the first month I popped one of the seams above the knee when I pulled my knees up to my chest. That seam runs tighter than the the rest of the cloth and other stitching when moving around. I've gained a few pounds in the last year, maybe I should have considered a medium? I'm 5'3" 130 lbs. The stitching was an easy fix and the double stitching meant no hole until I could fix it.

Comfy pants but long for petite. XL is sort of too large. The spruce color is very pretty. At the same time I bought a pair of Vista Camp Pants slim-leg petite XL and they fit completely differently! The slim-leg are quite a bit shorter and slimmer throughout. I really like the fit of the slim-leg. I think I'll buy one in spruce. Nice fabric.

These fit well and were very comfortable. They look as I expected. The material is a bit thin and I am concerned that they will wear out quickly, but time will tell!

These pants fit great (loose enough to move in without being baggy), have enough pockets, and are a great lightweight fabric. My only gripe with the fabric is that it has pilled quite a bit in some areas where things like a waist pack rubbed against it. The ankle cinches are a bit odd, too, because you basically have to tie a knot in the elastic if you want the bottom of the pants to be more snug; there is no toggle or a tie.

The fit is good, especially for shorter women, but I don't like the buttoned flaps on the pockets. I would prefer a zippered pocket. Also would like to see a deeper pocket that would hold a cell phone comfortably while seated.

These are cool and comfortable on a hot day when you want more coverage than shorts. I own two pair: one for field wear and one for social occasions. The only drawback is the drawstring: it's elastic, so it stretches when you try to tighten it. This makes it useless for helping to hold up your pants if, for example, you have put your phone or your keys in your pocket. The drawstring should not stretch; otherwise I would rate these 5-star.

These pants are very comfortable and lightweight. They dry very quickly. Unfortunately the top stitching stsrted coming out after only one wash and I returned them for another pair.

The lightweight fabric is perfect for spring, summer and fall wear; however, it does show wear easily, but I'm wearing them constantly so that's not really a complaint. I own 7 pair and my favorite aspect of their construction is the medium tall length. The first ones I ordered were regular length because that was my only choice, and they were too short, but I reluctuntly enjoyed them. Once in a while, the medium tall inseam will be only a little bit longer, and other times, the inseam will actually be long enough to make a difference - so not sure why there can be a fluctuation in length, but I so enjoy the pairs I own that are actually made for tall ladies (and I'm only 5'8" but I have long legs). I love the soft spruce color this season. By the way, the Medium/Tall fits me well, and I weight 140 lbs at 5'8". I have a long torso, so they can be a little short in that area, particularly after they've been washed frequently (cold water, of course, and no dryer). Would be nice if there was a little extra length from the waistband to where the inseam begins! Thanks for a versatile pair of pants!

Cool, crisp but soft, lightweight, tight weave, comfortable material for summer. Drawcord cuff helps defend against deer ticks. I would like them in a light tan, beige or stone color which would help show ticks when in the field or woods.

I love these pants. They are incredibly comfortable and very lightweight for summer. My only suggestion for improvement is to enlarge the outer side pockets to fit a cell phone.

Very nicely made pants. Medium was pretty baggy on me, and I generally wear a 10-12 in pants. I wish the cargo pockets were big enough to fit my cell phone, but that's a common complaint with pants made for women. It does fit in the upper pocket. That being said, the pants are comfortable and quick drying, so I will definitely get a lot of use out of them!

Love these pants. They are lightweight and very comfortable. Fit is perfect. The only criticism I have is that they wrinkle easily even coming out of the dryer.

These are very well made pants. I like the fabric and the colors but they just didn't work for me. The leg wasn't as wide as I had hoped. I believe they could be casual or semi dressy depending on what you wear with them. Wish they would have worked for me.

Love these pants. The fabric is a bit thinner than expected, but wonderful all the same. I purchased them for dog walkinglots of pockets.

I purchased these pants specifically for a camping trip, but guess what? They are SO comfortable I'll be wearing them around town, too. Thx LL Bean!

Waistband is perfect for bigger hips. Pant material is very light but fine for summer. I like a wider leg pant so these are ok. Wish designers would give us more room in thigh and legs and not make everything so stinking tight. Ugh. So tired of fighting this battle. Height: 5' 5" Weight: 140 Size: medium

These are terrific in many ways--light, easy care, good fit, and good looking. My first pair pilled badly--I felt like the pilling was at a level that they were ruined for anything but yard work. I figured out eventually that you can't have velcro (glove closures, coat closures) anywhere near these pants--for example, an open coat with velcro closures touching the pants while you're driving or otherwise seated. I hate velcro on coats and gloves--but it's everywhere at this point. Keep it away from this fabric. On the upside, a sweater shaver helped a lot to restore the pants to close to normal. (To be clear, the velcro sides did not catch on the pants, but they did cause them to pill, nevertheless. Or else there is some other mystery cause yet to be discovered.)

I love these pants so much I have them in 2 colors. The fit is true to size. They are great for outdoor activities, I wear them camping, hiking and kayaking. They are quick to dry which is great. The downside is the lightweight fabric snags and gets holes easily. I keep my pair with a hole in it for camping and yard work because they're still so comfortable. The other downside to them being so light is that putting anything heavy in the pockets weighs them down and makes them sag. The upside is they are cooler than regular pants in warm weather.

I hope these will last better than the previous pair. Love the fit, love the style, love the elastic cuffs. The previous pairs pill in the thigh area, so I have to use a razor to remove the pilling, and one of the cuff elastic pieces broke, so they were no longer wearable. Now, all that said, I still love them more than anything else I found, which is why I bought them again.
