I purchased this to wear outside in the garden. I ended up wearing all day, it was sooooo comfortable.
I am purchasing another pair of these pants.

I'm 5'8" and 135 lbs. I went with a Small after getting the garment measurements from a rep. However, they were still a little big in the waist and there was a LOT of leftover room in the rear (I have a 28" waist and, sadly, no behind). I ended up exchanging them for an XS and they fit perfectly. The material is great--really soft and comfortable. I tried them on and ended up lounging around in them the rest of the night without even bothering to take the tags off. I will say that they are NOT 31" long--maybe 30.5". Doesn't sound like much, but an extra 1/2 inch can make a difference in a hem. The good news is, they actually look better cinched and so the missing length isn't as noticeable. I got the gray. I wish they also came in khaki!

Bought one pair in a retail store, and then ordered a second pair. I wear them all of the time, even to work. They are simply my favorites. You need to make them in several other colors. Some of us wear them in places other than a campsite!

I just received this in the mail today and fell in love the second I tried them on! I am 5'4" and a size 14 and the Large fit great. I am pear-shaped and easily worked with my shape.
My only warning is for the taller ladies. The regular length fits me perfectly. So if you're above say 5'6", I'd opt for tall length.

I was thrilled with these when I tried them on. So lightweight and comfortable. Wore them hiking in fall weather and they were perfect. I was pleasantly surprised that they fit my waist as I don't like low rise pants and have a difficult time finding something that doesn't fall down. The drawstring at the hem was great too as they were a bit too long (I'm 5'1") but that took care of that. I will likely buy another in a different color if I can.

These are the most comfortable pair of pants I have ever owned. I bought 2 pairs to take on a trip. I wanted to pack light and these are like packing air. I was able to strictly do a carry-on because these pants can be hand washed and hung to dry and are ready to wear again the next day. I just ordered the last color. They have a sleek fit and a nice high waistline so they don't pull up in the crotch which made them amazingly comfortable to wear on a long trip. I tried lots of other hiking/travel pants before finding these and none of them compare. Great pants.

Got these for a 10 day camping trip this summer. They were great for hot weather, quick drying, easy to roll up for wading or cinch at the ankles for hiking in brush. Ordered a 2nd pair after we got back. They look good enough for running errands around town. Will be looking forward to next summer when I can wear them again!

These pants are great for travel because they are light and have zippered pockets. They wash well and can be hung to dry. The gathers around the ankles are handy for keeping bugs out. This is the third pair that I have bought, all in different colors. I did go and purchase a pair of those cord holder toggles to keep the elastics tight.
Highly recommend!

Finally, hiking pants that fit well and look fabulous. I definitely need to lose some weight around the middle, and most slacks are too tight on the waist, or if the waist fits, the pant legs end up too wide and baggy. These Vista Camp pants fit beautifully and are stylish enough to wear as everyday slacks. I've already worn them hiking on a warm day (mid 80's) and they were perfect. I initially purchased the dusty olive which is a beautiful bluish-green. I've since purchased the black and the granite. Now I see there is a new color (sandstone), so I plan to buy that as well. They fit so beautifully. They are great for warm or hot weather, but if it's cooler out, I can always wear silk long johns underneath. I do a lot of traveling and they will be perfect in summer weather for walking tours and bicycle riding.

I bought these in black and they're one of the best pairs of pants I own. I am so happy I purchased them. I'm thinking of getting another pair of black and one of the olive green. They're so comfortable. They are great for walking and hiking since the stretch and don't pinch your skin. They have zipper pockets and side pockets that button on the sides so there is a lot of storage. The bottom of these pants have a drawstring-type mechanism that allow the pants to cinch at bottom. Great for walking through wooded areas if you're worried about ticks and also great if you have to go into a restroom or port-o-potty that isn't clean and you don't want your pants touching the ground.
These are definitely worth the price. They wash up like a dream and if you get the black they can even pass as pants you could wear to the office with some shoes and a dressy top. I have had to wear these to work a couple times the last couple weeks as I'm dealing with hives and these are loose fitting and helping the hives on my legs.

Thank you, L.L. Bean, for these wonderful pants! You got it exactly right. As a plus-size woman (190 lbs and 5 feet tall), it's been both frustrating and depressing trying to find a pair of hiking pants that fit right and don't make me look like I have two Redwood trees as legs! I was at the new Bean store here in Michigan today and tried these on, fully expecting to again be frustrated and depressed. But the XL fit me perfectly!! They are roomy without being sloppy. The material is light and as comfortable as a pair of pajama bottoms. And I don't look like I'm walking around on tree trunks! They are about 4 inches too long but the draw tabs at the ankles take care of that; they are fine with my hiking boots. The elastic waist will be more comfortable while wearing a pack, than would a regular waist with belt loops. Now I can hit the trails again and start getting in shape and losing weight. Very very happy with these pants!

I purchased two pair of these pants (granite and dusty olive) for an early fall trip. I initially ordered my usual LL Bean size medium but returned them for size small which fit much better. I love the comfortable knit waist and since I am only 5'4" I am happy that the leg can be easily tied up. The fabric is sturdy but very light weight and super comfortable. The pockets are small however and won't even hold a cell phone which is my only criticism. I expect I will get a lot of use from these well beyond my fall travels.

I purchased these pants in black and olive green. I primarily wanted them for gardening. They are perfect for that but I find myself wearing them simply for comfort and convenience. I typically live in jeans and these are a nice change from that. They dry very quickly when I get sprayed by the garden hose when watering plants. They wash up very well.
The pocket design on the back make them a little more stylish than many of the similar designed pants I've tried from other stores. Highly recommend.

The material of the pants is very comfortable. The elastic waist band ensured a perfect fit and comfort when hiking/camping. These pants endured a strenuous sweaty hike and were completely dry when I returned to camp. Love these pants!

There is enough stretch in the waist of these pants to make them very comfortable. The fabric is very soft and lightweight. I usually wear a medium so that's what I ordered and they fit perfectly. They're very versatile and great for traveling. I might have to order a pair in black.

These are proving to be comfy, casual, very lightweight summer pants. Although the description says they sit below the waist, I find them to be right at the waist, & I consider this a positive. The wide elastic waistband is very comfortable and reasonably flattering.
It would be awesome if these were made in a capri length.

Great for lounging or walking. Comfy but not sloppy. I've been wearing them in the South on a road trip and they're not too hot. They wash well. I have air-dried them and they dry fast...the knit waistband takes a little longer to dry than the legs but not much. Thank you LLBean reviewers for all the good product advice over the years!

These pants are so lightweight and they stretch in all the right places. Having worn them on a challenging trail in Acadia National Park I can also attest to their durability. I could wear them everyday!

These pants are really comfortable and have great pockets, especially the zippered ones in front. I wear them for hiking, camping and travel. I wish they were sold in medium-tall. I am 5'8" and they are a couple of inches short but I still like to wear them.

Heading back to France this summer again for a 5 1/2 week dig, and I am so pleased that I discovered these pants. I am not a tiny person (working on that), and these are the only pants I have found that don't cut my circulation off at the waist... Not a good thing when you are kneeling in the dirt....
They are lightweight (great for travel), thin, flexible material (will be good in July in Southwestern France) and attractive!
Nothing bad to say! So happy!
