These are the best pants I've ever bought. They are super comfy, breathable, have a comfortable, eased fit, and go well with different shirts and shoes. I plan to order more colors and the shorts. They're now my wardrobe staple!

I am a big fan of elastic tapered bottom pants and these just had to try. Fabric is soft and seems breathable, perfect for outdoor activities. There are a ton of pockets, love that some zipper. The fit is loose which is super comfortable for hiking. The length is a little long for me at 5'3" but cinching them corrects it. I am normally a 6 Petite so got the S Petite and I am happy. Can't wait to wear them.

I bought one pair for walking the dog and for birding. Liked them so much that within a couple days, I ordered a second pair. My neighbor saw them and ordered a pair for herself. She, too, loved them and ordered a second pair. They fit perfectly...even the length...wash well, and are extremely comfortable. They are great for running errands because they fit so well and look neat and tidy. I highly recommend these pants!

Perfect for golf! Cool, look good... wish there was a lighter khaki shade... so happy I got both the navy and granite....

I wore these on a 2 week Southwest hiking trip. They were very comfortable, dried quickly and were ideal for wearing on hikes as well as for dinner. I would like to see deeper cargo pockets however for my cell phone and also would like a khaki color made available. I have the navy and am getting a second pair in gray color.

These have become my 'go-to' pants for traveling. They 'give' in all directions and are extremely comfortable, even on 15 hour plane rides. They are lightweight, pack easily and never need ironing. They dry quickly if wet, and are easy to wash (even by hand if needed). I took 3 pair on a 6 week trip to South America and used them for hiking in Patagonia, sightseeing in Santiago and dining out in Buenos Aires. They worked beautifully everywhere. I am so happy they came out in navy blue. Hope they have a khaki soon. Thank you LL. These pants are the best!

I wore these pants all day yesterday. Got caught in a windy rain event. The pants really are water resistant, not actually waterproof. But they were completely dry in minutes. Super comfortable with the drawstring waist. The drawsting at the ankle allows for adjustment in length. Pockets are deep enough for a cell phone. I am back to buy a second pair while LLBean has my size. They are ideal for walks, camping, or the garden, but look good enough to go grocery shopping.

I do a lot of outdoor activities. These pants dry quickly when wet, are very comfy, and have lots of pockets. Only complaint, is I wish LLBean would design their pants pockets larger to accommodate larger cell phones.

I received these pants and wore them only one time. Then I returned them. I was disappointed with the flimsy material. However, they looked really good on. I wish the material had been a bit more substantial such as the trail shorts or something else. I didn't think I would wear them much so back they went. I can see other people liking them alot though.

Needed to protect myself from the Virginia sun. I'm 63 years old and times up for too much sun. These pants work hard for me - grocery shopping, yard work, meeting with clients. The waist line is my favorite 'high wasted' and expandable comfy, the material is lightweight and easy to move in. It has six secure pockets for iphone, cash, etc. I purchased the navy for meeting with clients and the dusty olive for working in the yard. They look modern and can be dressed up or down. I'm 5'5", 118 pounds, and size XS worked best for me.

I bought 3 styles to try.The Vista Camp Pants were the ones I kept.I am still losing weight and I am traveling to Thailand soon. So I chose these pants with flexible waist which are light but sturdy.I needed the size to fit and be comfortable while I am in transition, but didn't want to look like someone who wears elastic waist band pants ( if you know what I mean ) . These were perfect. Room to go up or down and not have them hang off of me either. I am 5'4 and #145.

Extremely comfortable and as usual with LL Bean the quality is excellent. Being only 5'2", I always need to add another cost to most pants to be tailored. These are excellent with the adjustable hem. Many pockets are a plus as I do not need to carry a purse for wallet, keys, etc.

I now have about seven pairs of these pants, with about half of them being the lined version. I expect thse pants will suit me for the rest of my life. I am all set, pants-wise. I wear them every day. I am always comfortable--ALWAYS. The waistband is the absolute best in the world. It is wide, but soft, smooth and discreet, even though it is all-elastic. There is no zipper and no button because there is absolutely no need for them. The many pockets often relieve me of the need of a purse. I don't need a purse at all because usually all I need is my phone, my drivers license, credit card, and a tissue. I will say that I miss wearing jeans, but jeans aren't even close to this pants in comfort, appropriateness, convenience, and style. The Vista Camp pants are pricey (for me) but they are worth it because I am always comfortable in them, and feel like I don't have to look sloppy to feel comfy! Life is too short to wear pants that you can't wait to take off because you feel like you're getting cut in half or chafed to death. BTW, they run a little big. I normally wear a 6 or 8 due to my pound "redistribution" over the years, but an XS fits me perfectly. They are perfect, all-day comfortable. Try a pair of Vistas, just for the heck of it.

This is the 2nd time I've ordered these pants. Purchased them last year for our trip to Africa & it was the best decision. Extremely comfortable, washed well in remote setting. They are my go to pants to put on instead of jeans. Highly recommend if looking for a comfortable pant. Fit well.

The Vista Camp Pants are, hands down, the most comfortable pants I've ever worn. The fit is right on, the waistband is soft, the fabric is light and quick to dry. I can dress them up or down, and I've even worn them canoeing whitewater rivers in Costa Rica. If it's cold outside, I can wear a layer of tights underneath. I'm short (5'2"), so the ability to cinch up the cuffs is a plus. They do have a tendency to pill a little bit as other reviewers have pointed out, but that is easy to fix by lightly shaving the pills off with a cheap disposable plastic razor. I bought all four colors, and if they came in off-white, I'd buy that too. I really don't need any other pants in my wardrobe since I've discovered these!

These pants were perfect for traveling to and from the Philadelphia Airport to Mexico in March. They transitioned well from 30 to 80 degree temperatures. They are very comfortable and all of the pockets are a real plus, especially those that zip. One day I wore these for an excursion of zip lining and ATV riding. Rolled up the bottom of the pants to turn it into a capri style and they were perfect and didn't roll down. I washed them in the sink at night and they were dry by the morning. You can wear them with a t-shirt and sneakers or a nicer top and sandals for a smarter look. I have a hard time finding pants that fit well but the XL petite was perfect for me. I'm generally around a size 16 or 18 regular in pants. I'll be looking to purchase these in another color.

It's still too soon to say how they wash & wear, but I'm very happy with the pants. The petite length is just right, the pockets are plentiful and functional (increasingly rare for women's pants) and the fit is excellent. They're surprisingly comfortable even on hot days.

Super light. Very comfortable. Lots of convenient pockets. More expensive than they should be, but completely worth splurging on! On a recent summer vacation with lots of hiking, these were so much better than the other shorts and pants I brought that I ended up wearing these 8 of the 11 days. The elastic waist with drawstring would make them great for month-long hikes where you tend to lose weight along the way. They're also light as a feather so they would fit the bill for minimalist hikers. I also thought they were great to wear on plane trips. Just be aware that they're summer pants that won't keep you warm in the winter. You could always wear leggings underneath to make them both warm and functional. I love them so much I bought another pair so I can alternate them on long hikes: wear one, wash one.

This is my third pair. I LOVE these pants. I initially bought a pair for travel. Now I wear them all the time and constantly get compliments on them. Live in Florida and use them for golf and daily wear. Easy to layer them with leggings if it's too cold or slip rain gear over them. They have become my go to pant for flying. The tie in the waist is perfect for comfort. The ties at the ankles allow you to wear them as a regular pant or cinch them in for another look. Cinching also lets you change the length to suit the weather or wading or whatever.

These pants are the best. Lightweight, wash and dry and wear....fit like a dream. I have every color and if they added ten more colors I would buy them too. Some have complained of pilling but I haven't had that problem. I even wear them in the winter with tights underneath since they are lightweight. I am not a "shorts" person so I wear them all summer and it is very humid here. Still comfortable. I can be hard to fit in pants since polio has given me one side smaller than the other but with the design of these pants you don't notice. If they fit me they will fit anyone. LOL. Highly recommend them but then maybe I shouldn't since they might run out of them. :)

It's not often I post twice on the same LL Bean garment. I am here to say that since my last review on these pants (August 2017)I am still extremely happy with these pants. In fact, I now have seven pairs of them. Yep, poor old retired me on a fixed income has found it totally worthwhile to invest money on something that provides me with so much comfort and satisfaction. I think I actually look good in them. They are loose-ish but trim, not sloppy at all. I love how the length is adjustable. I love the comfortable elastic waist. Just about the only pants I can wear from morning till night without feeling like I'm being cut in half. The waist band is absolutely a thing of wonder. Included in my stash of these pants are all different colors of the unlined and the lined version. I am wearing some right now this minute! They hold my cell phone, my keys, a ton of tissues, my drivers license, medical card, charge card. These pants have almost eliminated the "need" for a purse or backpack. (Perhaps I exaggerate.) I see other reviewers have found piling to be a big problem with these pants. I only find a tiny bit of piling in the crotch area, and a tiny bit next to my right pocket. It is easily removed with my electric pill shaver. Just an update for you all. I am still very, very happy with this purchase. Worth every penny.
