I am 5'4" , weigh 140, curvy figure, and the regular length is too long and the petite is a bit too short. I kept the petites since the pant style cannot be easily hemmed. I prefer classic fit and not the new low rise pants which are not flattering if you are curvy figured, but although lower rise, these were OK. Fabric is lightweight, has just right amount of stretch, and durable. Best for warmer climates. Love the wide, comfortable, non binding elastic waist. I took 2 pair of these on 3 week tour of Ireland and washed them in hotel sink. Dried well overnight. Pockets great for keeping smaller items including small camera. Pack small with minimal wrinkling. They are my great new travel pants.

Since I don't do shorts, I was thrilled to find these nylon pants. They are extremely comfortable, not just the fit but the fabric keeps me cooler than shorts. I've purchased nylon pants before, but they quickly stretched out of shape after washing and required a belt to stay up. These stay put with a most comfortable waistband. My only suggestion for improvement, make the back pockets larger for cell phone storage.

Very nice pants. Elastic waist is comfortable without looking frumpy. Material is a bit lightweight but seems high quality. Drawstring adjustment at the hem allows you to customize the length just as you want. They fit true to size. I am 5'4' and I ordered the petite. You will never want to take these pants off as they are as comfy as PJs!

I ordered this style of pants from LL Bean for the first time. I have been buying Eddie Bauer's same styling pant for several years. These are a much better fit. I wish they had other colors like EB has.

These pants are super lightweight, water wicking, and very comfy. It has been raining here &!they are perfect in rainy weather. They dry out very quickly. I have waited till cooler weather to wear them but they are so lightweight I think I could wear them in warmer weather & be fine. I am 5 foot 4 and weight 130 and I chose the small. They are comfy and have plenty of room.

These are the most comfortable pants I have ever worn. I hate to take them off but I need them for workouts and don't want to ruin them. Extra small actually might have fit better (I got small). These are plenty long for my 5'6" height and plenty roomy for my 122 lb smallish frame. They are still pretty new so I don't know ultimately how this fabric will perform but I did buy another pair so I am willing to chance it. It is hard to find something this comfortable for my height and weight and a long torso.....so no pulling in the rise (crotch!) area. These would be ideal for long airplane trips. They look nice too.

I do really like these pants. The length is perfect, the waist is perfect (and high enough) the weight of the material is very light, cool and dries quickly when you get caught in the rain. AND, my favorite is.... it has 6 pockets, the two at the hips are deep with zippers. the other 4 have buttons, which are attached very securely, which is great, because I am bad at sewing them back on. The only complaint is they do get those tiny little pulls (balls),that sweaters get, on the lap area.
I did order a second pair, because of their extreme comfort! Cool enough for this hot & humid summer.
I'm 5'4" 138 lbs, S Reg fits great!

These pants are comfortable, attractive, they fit perfect, they look new every time I wash them. I have purchased every color & would purchase more if they came in more colors. Best money I have spent in a long time.

The nylon pants I bought at LL Bean were perfect for chimpanzee tracking and gorilla tracking in Uganda. The store clerk helped me select these pants, saying they don't look so great on the hanger, but they are extremely comfortable and once put on they look great. She also claimed many women bought these pants and were very satisfied with them, as I was. They were wonderful for going through the African jungle and light enough for the hot weather. When it rained in the rain forest I was still comfortable in them and they dried so quickly afterwards. I needed a x-large size and they fit perfectly!

If you're looking for lightweight pants that are perfect for summer hiking, but also great for layering when the weather gets colder - these are your pants! Hella comfortable and breathable.

I've worn your Perfect Fit pants for over 20 years; the Vista Camp pants are my new favorites.
The elastic waist and adjustable ankles are perfect for my lifestyle. The pants wash well and dry quickly. Even in our '4 season' climate, I can wear them almost year round.
More, colors, please.

My husband and I hike and camp and these pants are perfect. We go on long camping trips and these pants dry so quickly. It saves me from having to take a lot of pants. They do run a little large. I normally wear a Small, but I purchased my first pair from an L.L. Bean store in NY, so I was able to try them on. I bought extra small and the fit is perfect. I liked them so much I ordered a pair in navy and will order the granite (gray) a little later...and maybe the green. They are so lightweight, but in cold weather you could wear a base layer. They are perfect for camping, hiking, kayaking.

I bought these to take on safari in January, but they are so comfortable, I am already wearing them. They are very lightweight, perfect for my purpose, but maybe not for everyone. The medium fits me well, just a bit roomy--I am 5ft 10in and 135 pounds. They are just barely long enough for me. If you are not interested in the drawstring at the ankle, as I am not, it just lies flat if you don't cinch it, so you don't even know it's there. I have not yet washed them.

I cannot describe these pants other than perfect. I have bought two pair for myself and then also purchase three pair of the Vista Camp shorts. Great fit and feel, so comfortable. Love them!

I wish I had discovered these pants a long time ago! We live on a farm in Virginia, spending all of our time outdoors, and I've lived in these pants this summer. Great light weight fabric and so many pockets! I ordered a pair of these in capri length and they're just as good looking and functional.
However...the pants and capris run large so when I initially ordered Mediums, I was swimming in them (I wear 6-8's). The Smalls fit perfectly fine. The fabric also tends to snag and pill (see other similar comments), but this isn't too noticeable and I don't mind since I wear them as work pants. I just keep one pair reserved for wearing to run errands that look less "broken in".
No problem with these pants in the laundry with shrinkage and I run them through the dryer without any issues.
I'll be ordering more capris once they're available again--currently they're out of stock.

I bought one pair of these to try and LOVED them - got another pair. On a 5-day trip, I pretty much only wore those two pairs of pants! Soooo comfortable, from the material to the light-weightedness - and all those lovely pockets!! I will be haunting the LLBean site for more of these...please make more and more colors, as I may start wearing only these to work!!

I read all the reviews before buying. These are pricey and I wasn't sure they'd be worth it. But they are! I can't say enough about these pants. They are the right length, have the right amount of stretch and are super lightweight and comfy. Perfect for camping!

I work on film/TV sets a great deal--these pants have taken a beating and, so far, held up beautifully. They also wash easily and well. After a 12+ hour location shoot in a forest last week, they ended up coated with suntan lotion, cola, multiple kinds of bug spray, blood, dirt, ginger ale, and probably other things I don't want to know about. Before I went to bed, I washed these pants in the sink with a little detergent and hung them up, dripping wet, in the shower. In the morning, I found that every stain was gone, and the pants were ready for more torture. I'm 5'4", about 125 lbs, and have a high waist with long legs for my height--the misses XS fits me perfectly.

Vista Camp Pants. At 93% Nylon and 7% Spandex, this pair of pants is wonderfully comfortable, and very lightweight.
Absolutely perfect for the hot summers where I live. When I purchased several pairs of these pants, in Medium size, there was only one length available, which is an oddity for LLBean. I would have chosen a length a little longer for my comfort level, but I still love these pants. The dark gray color is perfect as it partners with any color you have on hand. The elastic waistband with a ribbon-like tie is perfect for adjusting individual comfort levels.
There is an elastic piece in each leg hem for width adjustment, but I don't use them since there is nothing to do with the excess elastic once the leg width is narrowed. Two thigh pockets, with secured flap closures, are handy for small items. Side pockets each have a zipper closure, which is a good feature. I really recommend these pants as a wonderful summer wear clothing for the coolness in hot weather. And...they wash beautifully (dry on cool setting).
I would like to recommend that LLBean produce these Vista Camp Pants in variable lengths.

These have become my go to summer pants. They fit exactly right (for me at 5'4", 155 lbs a medium petite works well), have a good look, especially with the ankles cinched in a bit and are super comfortable.
They could be improved with a slightly stronger fabric. They are lightweight, which is good on a hot day, but tend to snag on picnic benches and other typical summer surfaces. In a heavier fabric, I would wear them year round.

Love, love, love these pants. I bought the olive on line, then got the gray at my local store, and then today I found the navy! I love the fabric - lightweight, cool, comfy, and if I end up walking down by the beach, they dry in minutes. Good side pockets with zippers. Great fit - my gray pair are Medium Petit (I usually wear a size 10 or 12 in pants) and they are fine with flip flops. The others are regular fit and I can just tighten the drawstring at the ankle if I need to - but I usually wear them straight. They wash well - brought them on vacation to the Galapagos islands and was able to wash them in the sink and they dried in no time. Perfect for traveling or anytime!

I just ordered another two pairs Gray and Black (already have Black, Navy, and Olive). I have lived in these pants since late April. My favorite feature is ability to engage drawstrings at pant leg to help prevent ticks from attaching onto legsI spend a lot of time in tick areas. Pockets are perfect for dog owners to carry all essentials. On even 95+ days these pants are comfortable. My only critique is that my black pair is 'pilling' (to date my Navy and Olive pants are not). Nevertheless I just ordered another Black pair because I literally have forsaken all other casual pants for these.
