I purchased this sheet set a week ago. The color was duller than it appeared in the photo, but that can happen when shopping online. I planned to wash the sheets prior to using, but as soon as I touched the fabric, I knew I would be sending them back. They felt slick, almost slippery, and too thin. I expect better from LL Bean.

These percale sheets are NOT worth the money (almost $200) for a queen set. The bottom "Fitted " sheet does not hold its shape after one washing and stretches out and loses its tightness. It becomes very sloppy, no longer a tight sheet. Very disappointed in this LLB product! I would definitely not recommend this sheet set

The bottom sheet developed a tear after about 2 years, after reading other reviews this appears to be a common problem. for the price I would expect better quality from LL Bean. I am practically a walking billboard for LL Bean but I will never buy sheets from them again . The box store set we have was less expensive and still fine.

These sheets are not crispy or soft at all. Super scratchy even after washing. Thankfully LL Bean has a great return policy and I was able to return no problem

I did not like the sheets. The corners pulled up from the mattress. I would have returned them but I threw away the package.

Very disappointed with the fit and feel of the fabric. The price was high and I expected high quality which I have not found to be so with these sheets.

These sheets feel kind of slick and un breathable. They are not your typical old style cotton wrinkle sheets, that breath well and keep you cool.

True Percale wrinkles, absorbs water easily, and is crisp, but never scratchy. I wanted to love these sheets as I grew up with the high quality that LLBean was famous for, but these honestly felt like cheap poly sheets. As other reviewers noted, the fabric is weirdly scratchy and does not absorb water well - nor does it wrinkle in the dryer like a true cotton-only percale would. These sheets are either a poly blended fabric, or they have been treated with something to prevent wrinkling that makes the fabric feel like polyester (only weirdly scratchy at the same time). The light mint green color was beautiful, but the feel of these sheets made them entirely unusable and an immediate return. I have purchased LLBean's flannel sheets my entire life and those have always been amazing quality, so I was frankly shocked that these percale sheets felt nothing at all like percale.

I've been buying cotton sheets from LLBean for many years, and was always happy with them - until this set purchased March 2024. They don't feel like cotton! I thought washing would help, but it hasn't. I'm returning them and looking elsewhere.
In addition the fitted sheet is too big. It comes untucked mist nights.

These sheets are very cool - as a hot sleeper I appreciated how cool i stayed, but unfortunately I did not get a good nights sleep as they are very scratchy. We are typically very pleased with LLBean products but this one is a disappointment. The search will continue for the ultimate durable but soft cotton sheet.

Did a lot of research on various high quality sheets and these are very highly spoken about. With my experience with the chamois flannel sheets I expected the same level of quality.
They are so incredibly thin, and the fabric seems very cheap. Also corse and not pleasant to the touch. Certainly not for the cost of them. I sent them back and over 3 weeks ago and have yet to see a refund. Spoke with someone from CS and they said to wait a few days.
Very frustrating and disappointing coming from a company with such a renowned name that touts high quality and customer service.

These sheets got returned fast. They state they are 100% cotton but they feel like polyester. I honestly don't see how they could be cotton and feel that gross.

Fitted sheet has one row of elastic and seems cheaply made in comparison to other sheets. Wouldn't stay on the bed. We awoke to the sheet completely off. Fabric feels nice but if the sheets won't stay on they are useless.

I am so bummed. The reviews were great so I bought a set. They are so scratchy. I've washed them twice, both times as directed. I desperately want to add fabric softener to them but know that's bad for the fabric. I seriously feel like I'm sleeping on sandpaper.

I really wanted to like these. Based on all of the reviews I expected to. I am looking for crisp cotton percale sheets. These had a slipperiness to them. They had the oddest texture when they came out of the washer. Like a slickness. Plus my husband thought they had a pink cast in certain lights. I bought these sheets before and loved them. Something has changed.

The Wirecutter recommended these sheets as the best percale sheets on the market. I find that they lack the crisp, smooth feel for which true percale is known. And which is what I wanted and expected. Instead they soft and limp, and are rough on my skin, especial on my face.

Just arrived. I am accustomed to putting new fabrics through an initial washing to remove any chemical that may irritate my skin. I was amazed to find that my washer was full of lint and I examined the sheets to find that the stitches on the hem fell apart. It was very difficult for me to clean the washer drum of lint. In years past I have relied on llbean for quality. Began to notice over the past eight years or more poor quality control. Yet I continued to purchase items hoping "that this time" the quality would be good. What happened to llbean that I relied on for many year. But the bigger question is why I continued to order after so many disappointments. I am ill so that returning items I am dissatisfied with is not possible.

I am sure if you have a thick mattress you love it, but I have a thinner one and I don't know how to handle all the extra fabric. I can tuck and tuck and still have wrinkles!!! Do they make anything for me? The fabric is nice ..but, help!

Purchased this set of sheets solely because the description reads made of Supima cotton.
Which would account for the high price for a relatively low thread count. When sheets arrived the label states 100% cotton but Supima is not on tag at all which was a red flag. Washed them and they are not soft. So basically I have overpaid for low thread count cotton sheets? Seems like it.

After second washing I noticed a vertical tear. Doesnt seem like great quality to me. Not going to last much longer I'm afraid I expected better quality for the $

I recently bought these and the material is very nice, but they are way too big for the bed and the material hangs over with the fitted sheet that's not snug on the bed! Not satisfied with these!
