Sheets have become really tricky to buy. I prefer crisp sheets which is basically impossible. High thread counts generally mean very soft sheets and, in many cases, pilling. At a very modest 280TC it was hard to know what to expect. LL Bean delivered a very nice, minimal wrinkling, decent weight sheet with a generous sized top sheet. The fitted bottom is oversized for tall pillow top mattresses and so is slightly big for my bed but I'm overall so happy with this purchase I'm not taking any stars off. Might even buy some for gifts.

Good quality and comfortable.....

I have been shopping at L L Bean since 1953, (it was a store over post office then), and before me my Uncle Fred Greenhalgh, and Grandmother Alice Conklin provisioned there before flying to the Antlers Camp on Little Jo Mary Lake. That would have been in the 1930's and1940's. We have a long history. My visit was a stop on the way to tent camping in Nova Scotia.

I love these sheets and have now purchased 5 sets over the past several years. They wash and wear well and have that fresh off the line feel. I highly recommend them. Worth every penny.

This Pima Cotton Percale Sheet Set meets my expectations for high quality fabric and fit.

These 280-thread-count sheets have become our household's standard; they are on all four of our beds. They are crisp, don't sustain wrinkles that cannot easily be ironed out, and the 280 thread count is very comfortable; not hot as most higher thread-count sheets are.

Upon opening I was a bit disappointed that the sheets were a bit thinner than expected, but am pleased with the balance of softness and still not wrinkly when taken out of the dryer promptly. Very comfortable and fit my temperpedic mattress well.

Soft and wrinkle free from the get go these sheets are what I save up for and buy each year to stock my linen closet. The price is right too and very reasonable for the quality

I purchased these sheets based on a review by the Wirecutter ("Best Percale Sheets"). I wholeheartedly agree with them; these are excellent sheets. I love how they are both soft and also crisp to the touch. The white color is very bright -- you'll notice it when you put them up against other white sheets by other manufacturers. So far, I love them and now for a long haul test!

I recently purchased a new bed an was having trouble sleeping. I like being cool at night but nothing I had was working. Having been a customer of L L Bean for a few years I went online looking for cool and comfortable sheet set. I ultimately purchased 280 Thread Count Pima Cotton Percale Sheet Set. I thought the price was a little high, but knowing the return policy, I made the purchase. I find it hard to verbalize how satisfied I am with this purchase. I sleep better and longer than is my norm. I enjoy the coolness of this sheet set. I would highly recommend buying this set. The comfort, fit, and satisfaction is worth more than the price I paid. Great product, great customer service, great reputation. I will be a customer for many years to come.

These are the best sheets I've ever purchased. They are soft, cool, great looking, fit perfectly, and wash beautifully. I love the label indicating "short side" and "long side".

After years of being unhappy with sheet purchases, I did a little research. I like my sheets crisp and cotton, but I dislike cotton sheets that are too soft and lean toward thin flannel. I learned to ignore the thread count and get cotton percale. These sheets are perfect in every way. Crisp, cool, cotton. Get them!

I finally broke down and got Bean sheets for the guest bed. Since these are cotton/poly blend, they don't shrink in the dryer. So far, so good.

Good value, the sheets are comfortable. If they are as good as the last set we bought, and that can be an issue with Bean's not keeping standards high as a product ages, they will wear very well.

I love these sheets. They are lightweight and breathable, yet still have substance. Crisp, but not crunchy. They also do not wrinkle much in the dryer like most percales. These are my new go-to sheets.

After my second set of department-store bed sheets became thin and thread bare, I knew that I wanted quality sheets on our bed! This is our second purchase of the 280 Thread Count Pima Cotton Percale sheets as we like them so much we wanted a spare set of the same sheets. These are our favorite, go-to sheets and are worth the money. The fabric is cool, smooth and comfortable and still feels durable for wash after wash. Highly recommended!

I first saw these as highly rated on thesweethome.com. I had never paid a premium for sheets, but boy are these worth it. They feel very cool to the touch and comfortable against skin. I'm sure they'll be fine in the winter, too. Get them when LL Bean has their 25% sale.

Most comfortable I've ever owned

Love these sheets! They seem to breathe better than other cotton sheets. It did take a few nights to get used to the feel of them, as we've never had percale sheets before. They're not rough, just a different texture than we've ever had. Now I don't notice the feel at all. Just comfortable and an even temperature throughout the night.
