These sheets barely lasted 3 years. They started turning yellow from the get-go and continued to get worse. These are supposed to last decades. Waste of money, waste of time. L.L. Bean denied anything was wrong with them. They blamed me sleeping on them for the discoloration. I washed them weekly, no bleach, still turned yellow. I want my money back. DO NOT BUY.

These are the worst sheets I have ever purchased. I bought sheets from LLBean several years ago and they are are still my favorites. I even told the sales associate that I needed very soft sheets due to a skin condition and she assured me that these were soft. They are like sleeping on packing paper and they itch like crazy. Laundering did not help so they are crammed into the back of the linen closet.

Washed vapor gray sheets cold (by themselves and with gentle laundry detergent) before I put them on my bed and the color immediately bled. They came out looking yellow. Absolutely bizarre. The color has only continued to deteriorate over time, as well. I thought about returning them but I just never did and now they are this weird yellow/gold color. The strangest part might be that the color is consistently gold, though. It's not even splotchy. I have never used bleach in the washer and have had no issues with any other clothes. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN LEON LEONWOOD?

I bought a queen size set of these sheets in mid-blue several weeks ago. The color of the actual sheets is lighter than what's shown on the website. The sheets are rough and have a grainy feel that sctratches my skin. Very uncomfortable. I've washed the sheets twice in hot water, and was hoping that would soften them up, but so far no luck. (Another reviewer recommended washing in baking soda and vinegar five times to to counteract the sizing used in the sheets - maybe I'll try that.) I wouldn't buy them again.

I've had my queen size llbean sheets for a couple of years now. The biggest problem that I have had happened recently when I propped myself up on my elbow and the fitted sheets ripped. Just like that...the fitted sheet ripped. I've never had that happen in all the year's I've been sleeping in a bed (which is more years than most of you have been alive).
Also, there is a problem with shrinkage. The top sheet has shrunk and would probably fit well on a double bed after washing in cold/lukewarm water and drying with medium heat in the dryer. You definitely need a king size top sheet for a queen size bed after a few washings.
No, I do not recommend these sheets.

We could not tolerate these sheets. The fabric doesn't wrinkle however it doesn't breathe and we woke up boiling hot and sweating in these sheets. They are either not 100 % cotton or have been treated with chemicals. We were really shocked that these were being sold by you. They might be nice in freezing weather but will not work at all for us. We live in a warm climate.

After washing and using this sheet set on my bed (twice) I am very disappointed in the quality of theses sheets. They are very thin and do not feel like the 100% crisp cotton sheets I have ordered from LLBean in past years. Something else must be mixed in with the material.
Not what I expected, nor worth the money. I have returned them today and will continue to use my old sheets.

I received these for Christmas, and since warmer weather is here I decided to throw these onto my bed and retire my flannel sheets for the season (also L.L. Bean which are the best sheets I've ever had). They are very comfortable and certainly keep cool, but in 2 weeks time I noticed my pillow case and fitted sheet became sweat stained. Sadly, I have been unable to get these stains out in the wash despite repeated attempts. In hindsight I would probably have chosen a darker color such as Navy but it is what it is. I'm very disappointed that the sheets absorb normal perspiration this badly and retain the stains permanently. Note: I bath nightly so this is not a matter of poor hygene.

I was not pleased with these sheets. They feel comfortable to sleep in and initially looked very nice. However, my husband sleeps without a shirt and within the first week a smudge type body mark showed up under his body area. His pillow case was also darkened and showed smudge type discoloration excessively. It is winter here in Maine and its not so hot that he was sweating a lot. I thought it would wash out but after two washings, it has not. I alternate sheet sets and at first thought I'd buy another set of these sheets but now I am hoping I can find the receipt so that I can return them.

I excitedly bought these sheets in September 2018. They were wonderful & soft for about 2 years, although they started to look a bit shabby after just 1 year. Like other reviewers experienced, the pillow cases wrinkled terribly and looked sloppy, as did the top of the sheet.
However, worst of all the fitted sheet wore through & split after 2 years and 5 months of use. I even rotated in another set of sheets occasionally, so I'd say it was after 2 years of regular nightly use.
I've never, ever had this experience with sheets. It's so disappointing. These were the most expensive sheets I've ever bought.
I loved them so much during the first 2 years of ownership I even gave sets as gifts. I now feel terrible, they will not last long.
I'd buy another pair, but they're not durable. This is probably the most disappointed I've ever been in an LL Bean purchase.
Save your money and buy sheets that will last longer.

I bought these sheets a year ago based on good reviews for their durability. After less than twenty washings on delicate cycle, the fabric has begun to fall apart. Very disappointing!

I've purchased 2 Pima sheet sets and was very disappointed. Not the fabric I wanted, was needing percale sheets. I do not like the feel of Pima sheets. I would love to return both sets for percale fabric

We have been using these sheets for many years and have been very happy with them so we decided to get 2 more sets. What we received are totally different from the prior pima sheets we purchased. They are no longer thick and crisp. The new ones are much thinner and actually very slippery. You feel like if you roll over you just might just slip off the bed. Very dissapointing. If you have purchased these sheets in the past, don't expect the same quality or feel as in prior years.

We purchased these sheets and they are stiff and not soft at all. We have had pima cotton sheets before and these are stiff and very uncomfortable. The sheets will be returned as soon as we wash and pack them up. We always loved everything we purchased from LL Bean so these were a real disappointment.
Customer Service was very nice in accepting our return.

I spent HOURS researching and reading reviews before ordering these sheets, as I feel very strongly about sheets and wanted to make sure I got the right ones. I'm looking for a nice CRISP percale. These sheets are very smooth, but they feel like a polyester blend rather than pure cotton! Thinking they had maybe been treated with something to make them so slippery, I washed them in hopes they would feel different, but no. Very disappointed; will have to see if I can return and then start my search all over again...

I have been an llbean fan for many years. I have never been disappointed in the quality of their products until I ordered their Percale Sheets. When they arrived I was so excited. The color was perfect. However, sleeping on them is like sleeping on plastic. I tried washing them a few more times and the results were the same. Their award winning sheets are a bust.

Unfortunately, the top sheet shrank 10 inches in width. The fitted sheet was difficult to measure, but the pockets no longer fit under the mattress so I am assuming it shrank as well.
I had ordered 2 sets and will have to return them. (This is the first time I have EVER had to return something to LL Bean because of quality concerns.)

Terrible. Slept one night on them, and I will be returning them. They feel like synthetic fabric, with that almost slippery quality. Yet they also manage to be grainy somehow. Definitely not smooth or soft. They made me hot and itchy. They remind me of the old sheer polyester curtains we had growing up. I feel like Bean has consistently raised prices while lowering quality. These sheets might be the nail in the coffin, but I'll make sure the coffin is better made than these.

$150 sheets and they can't add the piece of fabric so your pillow doesn't slip out of the case.

My search for some nice percale sheets continues. I figured for the high price I paid for these, that I would love them. They are very thin, and don't feel like cotton at all. They feel like some cheap synthetic material and sheets that would be found in a cheap motel. Over the years I have purchased many things at LLBean stores that I have been happy with. I can't imagine you selling something so expensive that has such poor quality. I will be returning them.

I've bought LL Bean percale sheets for a long time. Earlier on they had all the qualities I looked for in percale: thick, crisp, cool percale. While the quality has deteriorated over the past few purchases -- thinner fabric, less crisp -- this latest rendition is by far the worst, and I will be looking elsewhere for my percale sheets in the future. This rendition is like the sheets in a cheap motel: thin, see-through, not at all crisp. It's hard to believe the material is even 100% cotton ... it feels like a synthetic. I'm using them, but not at all happy with the feel.

Fell apart after 1 year. We use vinegar to wash and not bleach as we know bleach can shorten the life of fabric but they still fell apart in one year's time.

Because I liked this sheet set the first time that I purchased it, I made a second purchase. I did not like the second set at all. I did not get a crisp, cool feel; instead, the sheets maintained a gritty feel despite being advertised as getting softer with every wash. Because the first set I purchased worked for me, even at 280-thread count, I kept trying to like the second set. But, after four washes and still a very gritty feel, I returned them.

I have been buying LL Bean sheets for years. My older sets of supima cotton sheets, which I still use, are soft and comfortable and were from the start. The new sheets are not. My husband and I found them rough and uncomfortable. I am so disappointed.

I purchased my first set of these sheets in 2017. I love Pima Cotton. However, I expected the set to last longer. The fitted sheet just ripped right down the middle while I was putting it on the mattress. I had washed these sheets once a week but didnt expect after three years for the sheet to rip the way it did. I also purchased a pair this year, I'll see how long this set lasts. I thought good sheets last a lot longer than that.
Disappointed,
