These are so stylish! My coworkers are jealous of my Xenas, and now want pairs of their own. I love that there is an all black, vegan option. It suits both my style and my values.
I do have some critiques:
1. The shoe is not comfortable. While I can technically wear it mostly pain free, by the 7th or 8th hour of being in the lab/field (a full work day), my feet are begging to be freed. There is zero padding insidenot even at the ridge of the toe cap. I tried insoles, but the shoe is not conducive to even the thinnest insole I tried. I also wish the ankle comfort stitching was more than just a decorative feature, and actually provided some real padding.
2. It is incredibly difficult to put on. This is by far my biggest gripe. The zipper does not go down far enough to actually make these reasonable to put on! It makes no sense. Extend the zipper down 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch, and these would be so much less annoying to wear! I have to nearly crush the shoe to put it on, and a shoe horn is an option, but the fabric has very little stretch, so it isnt easier to put on, but does save my manicure. Seriously consider extending the zipper down. It would make this shoe almost perfect, excluding the comfort issue.
Overall, the style is worth it, but if the above issues were fixed, these could be the most perfect safety shoe.
*Please offer an all-black, vegan version of the Omegas!

I love the look and style of the Gravity Safety Boots! They allow me to portray a professional, yet still feminine, appearance on the job sites while maintaining compliance of the safety codes within the industrial sector of government construction.
As for fit, I was nervous, especially after reading all the reviews. I have a very wide foot. Half of a size up is all I needed. I did purchase a whole size larger first but it was too long. The Xena Team was great in offering advise.
Many of the reviews also stated that the boots were uncomfortable. I will agree that there is not much cushion or arch and at first I could feel the end of steel toe mold rubbing against the side of my big toe.
I purchased a 3/4 length gel insert and it really helped. It added cushion, arch support and even lifted my toe away from the steel tip. Since adding the insole they're perfect! When it comes to comfort, I think it depends on what you
wear when you're not at work. When I'm not on a construction site, I'm in high heels; hence the reason I'm looking for a fashionable work boot. If someone usually wears comfy foam sneakers than they will most likely think these boots are uncomfortable. I personally find them comfortable enough to wear 10-12 hours a day either on a construction site or in the office.

I have been searching for a stylish steel toe show for years. So happy to have finally found it! I ended up a whole size larger than my normal shoe to prevent toes feeling tight. I added a heel/arch support which has taken up any extra space in the heel area and provided extra support for the arch. I wear the shoe all day every day and find it comfortable. I do agree that it takes a week or two to completely break in. With this being a boot style I found that above the ankle is the part that needs breaking in the most.

the size & style was spot on. however, they were uncomfortable in the bend along the top of the foot. It had a strong crease top to bottom as if layed on its side & compressed. That's hard to correct without extensive work on the shoe. Also, there was some type of weird bump in the toe area along the pinky toe in both shoes. In a steel-toe boot, that isn't going to "adjust" over time. This company is on the right track, but need to assess the type of leather used or something.

The shoes are really cute in person. I wear a size 8 in everything and sized up to 8.5 like they recommended. The shoe fits great. They are tight and I have to use both hands to get on, they wont slip on. They took a long time to break in and walking in them is very uncomfortable after awhile. There is no padding (besides the insole) and my pinky toes rub against the shoe. The insole slips out, which I might be replacing with a more padded one for comfort. I end up taking them off when I'm at my desk so my feet won't be too beat up by the end of the day. Customer service is awesome and replied to my inquiry really fast.

Gave these boots 3 stars because they are not cut out for a busy and fast pace restaurant. I love how they look and feel, but unfortunately they are not slip resistant. I wore the for the first time last night at work. Im a manager and I run back and forth from the FOH to the HOH. Well, they slowed me down tremendously last night. I slipped so many times and a few I almost fell. Its very upsetting. I was so excited to finally find shoes that were super cute to wear with nice clothes and now its back to wearing slip resistant gym shoes with a polo while I go back to the drawing board. Hopefully I can find someone to buy them off of me so I can recoup most of my money.

I am going with 3 stars strictly due to the fact on day 2 my feet could not go back into these shoes from the swelling and blisters.. But hear me out!
I believe these shoes, like my last pair from another company have to get worked in. I stock the floor in my wearhouse and by the time I left work on day one with these shoes I had swollen blistered feet. But I know better than to try and break a new pair of shoes in at work. I recommend breaking them in casually while running errands and not doing it for long hours at a time.
I wear a 7.5 usually.. so I went with a 8.5 after reading the reviews. I'm happy I did, they are a perfect fit and comfortable if you are standing/walking constantly for up to 4hrs.
I also bought gel insoles to help with the fact I'm on concrete floors for 8+ hrs at a time and I don't want to end up with plantar fasciitis. Go up a full shoe size when ordering and wear thick ankle socks. The company does a great job with the packaging and the shoes are beautiful. I really hope they will be my every day work shoes because everyone loved them and they don't look steel toed. People are going to stop you and ask if you are in steel toes.. it's awesome. I just really wanted to stress tho that they did hurt my feet and they will take time to break in. If you are looking for instant comfort over a fashionable work boot. This exact boot probably isn't for you. I am hopeful that they will be a great shoe for me in the long run.

These are okay, which I guess is just not what I was expecting for this price. The shoe seems fairly durable, which is great; thats the point. But that seems to have been the only point. In terms of wearability, I think they could have been designed better. The material is very very stiff, and even a long break in period might not make them comfortable! If Im on my feet all day, and moving, I need some comfort. The length of the shoe size is right on, but they seem especially wide and clunky for that size. They move around quite a bit while walking, and with a stiff material this instantly translated to blisters and hot spots. Most disappointing was the back of the shoe, which appears to have a pad to avoid the dreaded Achilles stab of any low shoe. Its just a decorative stitch, with no apparent extra flex or padding. A stitch thats coming out on one of the shoes, and thats right out of the box. The sole of the shoe is just a little wider than Id like, which is a fairly mild issue, but anything that impedes my ability to move quick and easy isnt great. I absolutely need that on my job. Finally, if youre going to make a waterproof shoe, make it waterproof all over. I expected a gusseted zipper or a waterproof zipper...nope. But if I dip just my toes in a puddle, Ill be fine. Overall, I wish the shoe had a tighter fit, but going down a size or wearing thick socks will make my toes crunch, because the length really is spot on. Hopefully these will break in better than Im anticipating, hopefully I wont lose any more stitches, but even then they really do not live up to my expectations, or the price.

My name is Katie. The shoes were purchased for me. I bought a size larger, like instructed, than my normal shoe size (wide) but it its still not wide enough for my toes. It hurts a lot to wear because the sides of my toes wont fit. My metatarsals just bang into the edges of the steel. I took out the insoles but it still doesnt hurts. I cant return them because I wore them outside of the house once. I might have to give them away.

The most painful shoes ever. I try wearing them around my house to break them in but damn I'm not sure it's worth it. I love the way the look but they are painful!
