I have severe foot pain from arthritis and have difficulty finding a comfortable shoe. Most shoes rub in the wrong places and cause pain. I decided to try these since their straps allow individual adjustment. They are quite comfortable plus they offer good arch support. I am glad I decided to try them, knowing that if they didn't work, I could return them.

This is my second pair of boothbay sandals, and they are my go-to summer footwear. They cushion my feet very well. I did notice that they were shorter than the older pair that I have in the same size (however, they did fit but just barely). Also, the strap by my ankle isn't as long as on my previous pair. I have wide feet, and I have found that with all of the adjustable straps, they fit the width of my feet just fine. If they are anything like my previous pair, they will last for several years of daily summer use. I hope L.L. Bean will bring back the blue color. Overall, an excellent pair of sandals!

This is the fourth pair of the Boothbay sandals I have purchased from L. L. Bean. I particularly like that they are adjustable so that I can get the perfect fit. They are comfortable so that I can wear them on walks in the summertime. They are so much cooler than a pair of walking shoes and socks for summer walking.

I currently live in Eastern South Dakota, right on the boarder w/ Minnesota where it can get blisteringly humid and hot during the summers. I bought these shoes for both walking & hiking and have been very pleased. The velcro straps keep the shoes secured and tha padding around the ankle area prevents blisters - i did get one blister on the medial side of my right foot when i first began wearing them, but i havent gotten another blister since. I usually fit an 8.5 womens for shoes and ordered a 9, which Im glad I did because an 8 would have been too small. Overall, very happy with my order and would recomend.

I have been buying LL Bean Boothbay Sandals for over 25 years. I needed them in several colors: light blue, black, and now blue/white. They wear wonderfully and can be adjusted easily to accommodate any foot width. I am still wearing my original pair from nearly 30 years ago, and they look almost new! I highly recommend them for comfortable summer hiking and any kind of walking. Plus they look as nice with a swimsuit heading to the beach as with trousers for an evening on the town.

I purchased a pair of these sandals last summer. In the summer I prefer to wear sandals over closed toe shoes, even while participating in outdoor activities such as long walks, etc. I appreciate the fact that these sandals offer so much support, that they are able to be adjusted through the use of the velcro straps to find the perfect fit, which also allows the shoe to fit my wide width foot. I have worn these chasing my three grandsons on playgrounds, on moderate hiking paths, etc. If they get dusty or dirty a quick rinse with a hose or in the sink have them looking brand new for the next days wear. I purchased a black pair originally but liked them so much I ordered the beige as well. The price point is reasonable for this well made shoe....and of course, I love how L.L. Bean's stands behind all of it's products. I doubt that I will have a problem with these shoes but if I did it's nice to know that customer satisfaction is a priority with Bean's.

These sandals can be adjusted to fit like a glove. The arch support makes them so comfortable.

I just got these and they are incredibly comfortable for me- like walking on pillows! They do run small, though. I'm normally a size 9.5, and the size 10 I got just fits. That's ok, because I love them!! These will be great for summer adventures.

Finally a rugged sandal that fits my small, wide, high arch, high instep foot! The arch support even hits my foot in the right place. My little toe does not hang over the edge and the Velcro on the ankle strap closes by a full inch. (Usually, on other sandals, it's 1/4 inch or less). I can now safely keep up with my family at the cabin on the lake in the mountains - flip flops and street sandals just don't cut it. Note: since the toe area of the footbed is a nice fit for my wide foot, some people may think this shoe is too big. However, there is a custom fit Velcro strap that will make you happy!

These sandals are so comfortable that I bought one of each color to go with anything in my wardrobe. They look so fashionable on my feet and they are so soft to walk on that I just love them to pieces. The straps are easily adjustable so the fit is always right And they look great with shorts, jeans or dresses. I can't say enough about these sandals.

These sandals were my best purchase of 2017, so I bought a second pair. They are very comfortable and supportive, easily adjusted to the fit desired. They stabilize the foot. I wear them nearly every day in the summer, including those days when I am wearing business attire. (I work at a university, so the fashion faux pas is more easily forgiven. I also keep a pair of LL Bean Signature flats available.) I will purchase a pair for my mother who has advanced dementia. These are stable and sturdy enough to be both safe and comfortable for her.

At last, sandals with adjustable straps from ankle to toe! I have a nasty bunion on one foot which is making getting comfortable shoes a challenge, and these are perfect for the problem. The color selection is perfect as well as I've been looking for black sandals that fit for roughly three years. I'll probably buy a second, identical pair because I'm almost certain to wear these out. Sorry I missed out on the sand color. I think they'd look very good with white pants.

These sandals are amazing especially for the price. The are so comfortable like walking on a cloud. I purchase Teva sandals every summer but have not been happy with the new styles they are just not comfortable anymore. I thought I would give these LLBean sandals a try and I am indeed happy with them.

Just bought my fourth pair...I have black, light blue, tan, and now the navy. I have high arches and the podiatrist has looked at these sandals and gave a thumbs up for support.

These are perfect for water sports, walking along the rocky coast of Maine. The most comfortable sandals I've ever owned! They're even comfortable enough for walking through the sand on beaches like Popham or Old Orchard Beach. Once you order these you'll never want another pair of sandals for your outdoor adventures!

What I love about this particular sandal is that it looks attractive while giving support to my feet.

I stand at work all day and these are the most comfortable shoes I have for the summer. I would buy them again.

These are the most comfortable sandals you can find. You can walk for miles and still have no issues. I usually order an 8 1/2 and got a 9 and they fit fine. I own these in tan, black and leather. I wear them daily in the summer.

Getting a good fit with aging feet becomes more and more difficult, but as I was desperate for a good pair of sandals I ordered online. I was advised to order a size up for a half size, and the sandals fit very well when they arrived. I have been wearing them now for more than two weeks, in all sorts of weather, and am very pleased with how they dry after I walked through several puddles.

This is my second pair. Very comfortable, light weight and supportive. LOVE THEM!

I recently had toes amputated on both feet complications of RA & circulation I looked all over for a sandal that would accomadate the above I saw this one and gave it a try it has back ankle support, velcro/fabric straps my surgeon said they were perfect as did my Physical therapist I love them! thank-you!

I bought these in Spring 2013 to replace my Colombia's that were reaking havoc on my feet. As a lifeguard I wore these very day during the summer for two seasons, in and out of water (great traction) and never once had blister issues and they were absolutely comfortable. I still wear them in the summer, many years later, for many activities from hiking to walking a flea market and more,many years later, would recommended again and again!

I have narrow feet and these adjustable straps work well!
