My son received this for his 2nd birthday from a friend and he loved it right away. My son loves all of the Doug & Melissa toys and they are such great quality. He insisted we open it and he played with this one longer than the VTech truck he had also gotten. There are two things for learning that I thought might have been better in the planning of the toy though (I am not a toy developer or even a teacher so take this with a grain of salt). 1) Instead of having two greens I think adding another color like pink would help in teaching more colors. 2) Switch the order of the numbers, the "1" should be smaller than the "7" so we can start to teach the concepts of which numbers are bigger than others. Thank you so much for having such wonderful toys for children of all ages.

I bought this toy at Home Goods, a last minute "the grandson is coming to visit" purchase. Total hit! He's only 25 months, so not a lot of tall tower stacking, but he loved "parking" the cars in the garages and testing out how many cars he could fit in the largest garage. I do agree with other reviewers -- the cardboard construction of the garages was disappointing; am curious to see how long they hold up. One other suggestion for the designers of this toy -- this is a great way for kids to earn their colors, so why have two green garages in different shades? One garage could be brown and that would solve the problem.

Currently my 18 month is enjoying the cars and we will eventually get to applying the garages to the set when he gains interest.

My son loved these, but even at three and having great dexterity, he had a hard time getting them to stay while stacked.

My 20 month old grandson loves this toy, He stacks and plays daily with it The only thing is the cardbord is already showing signs of wear. Was hoping for something more substantial The cars are great

I received this as a gift for my one year old. She loves it! It would have been nice if the numbers were reversed though. Not only would there be more room on the side of the boxes for the multiple cars to count, but it would be easier to teach number sense and ordering. For example, one is smaller than two because the one garage fits in the two garage etc. Overall, I think this product is excellent! My daughter loves to knock down the towers we build and always has a car or two with her to play with.

Great for use in preschool class for transportation unit.

My 2 year old grandson is using the cars & garages in numerous ways & that of course is good, but I am concerned that the paper garages, though seemingly sturdy now, won't last very long with his sometimes vigorous play with his toys.

I love Melissa and Doug products. They are very educational and fun. My only complaint about this product is that the garages, I believe, are made of cardboard. I haven't taken it out of the package yet because it is a gift for my son's birthday but it looks like cardboard. The only thing stated in the description is wooden, speaking of the cars. Maybe I just assumed the garages were wooden as well, so upon receiving the toy that was a little dissapointing. Hopefully they stand up to the play from a 2 year old, that's my only concern.

Cute concept, but 2 keys have already bent. To pay the amt. I did plus an equal amt. for the shipping is disappointing. To receive some reimbursement would improve my opinion.

The garages are not very sturdy. The concept is nice, but wonder if it will last a month. A lot of money for me and I had to pay a big shipping fee for my grandkids. That stung more!

The cost was equal to the item. Tough to deal with. How about some money back?

My grandsons enjoy this toy. Unfortunately, we needed a few replacement parts. When I called to ask the cost of the replacement parts, I was told that replacement parts are not available. Usually children's toy manufacturers have extra parts available so the toy can be enjoyed for years. Not so with this one. Very disappointed.

Our 2 year old LOVES this toy, and we actually really like the cardboard garages because they stack nicely and are lightweight. We have had no trouble with them being damaged thus far. However, the paint is chipping off the cars and that makes this toy a complete miss. We don't feel comfortable having toys where paint chips off no matter how safe it claims to be and Melissa & Doug doesn't say the paint is harmless, just that it meets the required standards. For this reason we would not recommend this toy to anyone.

Very disappointed in this product. Garages are cardboard which is not up to Melissa and Doug typical standards.
