VANS shoes are a 1 -Star
Customer service 5 - Stars
Super comfortable and light. I wear VANS as my everyday shoe and was excited about these. Within a few days the heal and toe started separate from sole. Quickly reached out to Zappos customer service and had another pair the following day. THANK YOU! Unfortunately, the second pair are starting to separate in the same areas. I'm going to see if I can just glue this pair and tough it out. I'll skip this version next time and go back to the other VANS styles that last. Thank you Zappos for your customer support and quick reply/replacement.

These are awful. I would have never bought this shoe if I knew I could not get them on with a sock on. Why would someone put a cork type sole inside?? Absolutely stupid. Now cannot return. Just want to exchange.

Uncomfortable socks side down doesn't matter how loose the lace or how tight the shoes are squeezing my foot.

Got my normal size in Vans and these are so narrow and uncomfortable. I don't understand how anyone could even wear them. No wonder they were on clearance

My older Range EXP were a little wider and the sole was really cushiony. These shoes are long, narrow, and with a really hard sole. The fit and feel are really uncomfortable. Bought online, returned asap.

The shoe felt cheap. It wanted to slid off the heel when walking.

Ugh I really really wanted to love these shoes. I purchased for an upcoming New York trip and thought they would be great for hours of walking but no amount of bandaids or different style socks seem to help! Sadly they hurt so bad

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS!
For starters, they are not accurate with the sizing, I am 8.5 in all my vans but these fit me big.
They are too soft, it's so annoying that they come off, it's like trying to run in flip flops.
The heel does not grip well and the materials are a disaster, the worst pair of vans shoes of my life.

These were great shoes but they got wet while I was out walking and the blue in the back of the heels bled through and the back of my shoes are completely blue. I didn't own these shoes more than 3 days.

The style and material is great. The fit is HORRIBLE. Designed for extremely narrow feet. Also you feel the heel sliding with each step. I only tried them in the house and will not be trying outside. I plan to return right away. Feeling let down as I LOVE Vans and was very much looking forward to having these.

Note that I love the VR line, and own 3 other pairs that I'd rate 5-star.
However, this batch of VR3-Checkerboard came out too narrow.
Tried size 9, and then 9.5, which was simply longer and just as tight on the sides.
Base components seemed upgraded, more durable, but I'll never know. Returned both.
Good for those with narrow feet

This is one of my biggest regret purchases from VANS. Tried them on with long socks and thought they were one of the most comfortable shoes I'd ever worn. Once shorts weather arrived I quickly realized the issue with the heel/ankle area. Blisters are nearly unavoidable and the sole comfort ceases to matter with the issue of the rub. They make this long time VANS wearer want to avoid any of the new models. Shame.

I've tried the recommended socks, lacing differently. Nothing helps. Don't get these for running/walking. So bummed!

No idea why vans has not only stopped making the puffy skating shoes I've loved for years but also changed their sizing! I've been wearing a size 13 for 15 years with no problem but in 2017 they started making the sizes longer and more narrow. The VR3s are so narrow I couldn't even get my right foot into the shoe. I can't comment on the quality of these but I've had two other pairs of ultrarange shoes and both fit ok but fell apart in less than a year. Between sizing issues, quality issues, and a lack of my size at my "local" store in pretty sure I'm done buying vans!

I've had these a short time but they're already faded. I wore them a week at home (indoors) and then a week while traveling (city walking). They are so comfortable but the dotted fabric of the upper part is fading fast. It's also stretched out - they are about a have size too big so that's not the issue. It's just poor quality. They won't last the summer as a shoe I can wear in public. So disappointing and it's not as if they're inexpensive.

I've been wearing nothing but vans since I was 16. They've had a good mix of styles, size, price, and durability that I couldn't find anywhere else. Since 2017 they've changed and every time I go to buy shoes it's harder for me to find something I like, that fits, or that lasts. I can't find casual shoes I like anymore and three of the last 2 pairs of work shoes I've bought haven't lasted a year. I just received a pair of ULTRARANGE VR3 SHOE and they are ridiculously narrow, I can't even fit my foot in the shoe! I'd try more in store but the only local store rarely has size 13 in stock even if the website claims I could pick up same day in store if I order online. I really hate walking away from a company I've used for over 20 years but that's what I'm about to do

Unfortunately, the design of this line of ultra range RX3 was poor. I'm not sure why they deviated from the fit that worked in the previous ultra range lines like the exo. The overall look is great but the fit it horrible. The shoe is very narrow and the heel part is designed poorly. I've tried sizing up and down to see if it would help, but the issue with the heel remains the same. I've also tried different types of socks to mitigate the issue. It causes blisters and also pulls your sock down from your heel when you are walking.
Great look, but poor functionality.

The last of this style is totally wrong, long and narrow. There are inches between the big toe and the shoe tip

I wore these for work twice and couldn't do it anymore. They gave me a blister on my heel and were super tight on my feet. (I have narrow feet too).

I returned the shoes. Shoes were not true to size and very narrow. Good looking but a bad fit for me.

I have been wearing size 13 since I was 16 years old. I'm 51. 12.5 isn't really a thing for most manufacturers. So I size up. These shoes are unwearable. I guess they were long enough, but the toe area is so narrow and the heel is OK to loose. Did you even take any measurements of a human foot before you sent the design to the factory? I have lots of other Van's that are fine. This model is comedy.
