I wasn't sure about these pants at first- but not that I own them, I wear them more then any other pant! They are great for chilly rock climbing days, cold weather runs or walks or Nordic skiing, and also great on super cold days as leg insulation under goretex. Amazingly comfy pants!

Bought these a few weeks back and I love them. Very versatile pants, almost a must in winter above arctic circle. Been using these cross country skiing, running, at home, running errands, layering under shells. Super comfortable.

I've been wearing these XC skiing and running during the recent -25 Celcius cold snap and they are amazing. So comfy and warm- perfect for staying active and comfortable in this cold weather.

Fuzzy, cozy, warm legs during winter in the Rockies?! YES! These pants have been a game changer. Beyond comfortable, from lounging to activity and back again. Wonderful soft feel on the legs, while being extremely functional.

My boyfriend bought the Proton Pant Men's last year and he could not stop saying how much he loved them, so I have decided to buy myself a pair and now I get it!!!! Super comfy, wearable as a mid layer for more warmth or just as a standalone piece for chilly morning walks. These pants are my go to everyday.

Mostly writing this review for sizing purposes since I haven't worn them in the cold yet. I ordered both a 10 & 8 to compare and ended up keeping the 8. For reference, I'm 5'8" 145 pounds and based on measurements, I fall into the size 8. I got a 10 as well because I wanted to make sure I had room for a base layer underneath. Turns out the 8 gives me enough room for a base layer. These pants are comfortable and seem like they will be warm.

I ran in this Proton Pant many times and have no complaints! I love the fit. They do stretch after wearing them for a few hours which does not bother me because this allows me to wear a base layer underneath for chilly-chilly days. The design is well thought out which allows for freedom of movement and comfort at the same time. The interior fabric is soft which feels nice against my skin, especially on cold-chillier days. Did I mention that these pants have pockets? Everyone loves pockets. Amazing job to Arc'teryx Design Team. Amazing job.

Overall these seems like great winter joggers. I think they could fit under my looser ski pants, or be worn by themselves for hiking or warmer xcountry ski/snowshoeing. I'm usually a women's size 6 or 8 and I got these in a 6. They are more snug (not tight) and but I don't know if I could fit a base layer underneath them comfortably. If I was concerned for this I would have probably sized up but I'm happy with how they fit as a stand alone piece. Hoping they live up to this winters adventures.

Disclaimer: I haven't put these to the test yet since it's still summer. I've been looking all over for active insulation pants and had trouble finding a pair of women's. I was really excited when I saw these available! They fit pretty true to size with enough room for a base layer. If you're in between sizes I'd go with the smaller size. Waistband doesn't have much stretch so it's a bit snug to get on. Once on, that's unnoticeable and they're very comfortable. The pants are lightweight with and tapered and I have great mobility in them. They're a great length for me, just shy of hitting the floor on my 5'5" frame but I could see it being a bit short for some taller folks. Can't wait to wear them on some winter adventures!

I was uncertain what size to buy since I wanted to wear these with heavy merino leggings underneath while XC skiing and running in the Yukon. I am 5'4" and between 130-135lbs. I ended getting the 6 and I have more than enough room for layer. I may have been able to pull off the 4 since they still are baggy, definitely not fitted. The regular length is more than long enough, the short wasn't available in the 6 so I didn't have the option. The ankle cuffs could be tighter but I haven't had issues with snow getting in. The insulation is just the right amount for what I was looking for. The pants are excellent for keeping me dry/breathable when working up a sweat. Overall, these pants are worth it, not perfect but versatile.

Tried these on in store and LOVED them. But they were way too short. Size 6 felt true to size. I'm 5'8" but don't normally need tall sizes. Came to the website to purchase in a tall. So bummed they don't have a tall option!

I am a winter active woman and love these pants! Keep the wind out, room enough for base layer, comfortable and look good. The one downside is they need to come in longs. They ride up if you are sitting and my ankles got cold and there is no fleece on the cuff, which would have helped!

I got a 10, I'm 5'6" 160lbs. These are very comfortable, the elastic waist is strong, thick, I like it that it does not fold when you sit down. The fit is a little loose around the thigh, hand pockets made of fleece or something thick, keep my hands warm. The only thing I notice is that the fabric at the crotch area starts piling after just two wears around town. Yes you can remove this with tools but I'm concerned about it's durability. I had something similar weight from Arc before and eventually it just ended up with a big hole.

The material of these pants has potential to be warm enough to work well in winter, especially as a layer below a ski bib, but there is nothing stylish or feminine with the fit of these pants. I like that there are no zippers to rub the lining of my Arcteryx ski bib and the labyrinth color is unique, but it's not worth keeping these, so I will be returning them. Please bring back more flattering, form fitting styles like the levon pant and the kyla pant. Consider making a cold weather version of the levon pant. Lately I have been trying on and returning a lot of Arcteryx Womens pants because the styles are just not flattering for women.

I bought the Proton pants because I own two Proton jackets, proton LT from last year and Proton FL from two years ago. I was excited to see these pants and expected the same quality. The outer layer is indeed great, feels soft and stretchy, unlike the lining. The lining is made of some strange fabric, it is not very pleasant against the skin, it feels like plastic and has no stretch at all. When I try to bend my knees in the pants they literally resist creating some tension between the stiff liner and the outer, softer fabric. This is very disappointing since this product had such a great potential for colder hiking days and a layer under the ski pants. The previous versions of Proton LT and Proton FL jackets were fantastic, this one - I would not recommend and I will be returning it.
