I'm really glad they brought this jacket back into the lineup. I live in Vancouver and with the periodic weather changes, I typically would wear an insulation layer and then a shell on top in case it rained. With the Beta insulated jacket, you've got both so it has been my easy and confident choice for all weather conditions. I have the black jacket and it looks great for city wear and for outdoor adventures. Also, love the number of pockets inside and outside - I love having extra options for keys, wallets, receipts, airpods, etc.

This jacket is so comfortable, light, warm, stylish, covers my butt, I can't stop bragging about this jacket to my hubby, he had to get for himself as well (men's). I get so many compliments on this jacket. Best and the most expensive jacket that I've ever owned. Thank you Arc'teryx!

Very nice jacket and warm but breathable, gorgeous green color but it is noisy. To move around in it, move your arms it makes a crinkle noise. But likely driving in the car it didn't bother me, maybe because I was listening to music loud. That's the only negative besides it being expensive. I did keep it though, it's beautiful and gets the job done.

I read every review on every site on this jacket before buying the Beta insulated. I only really do resort skiing with some easy hiking. I wanted a jacket for skiing that was warm and insulated because I don't like wearing a lot of mid layers. I'll be skiing in Montana and will update my review with how it does there with lows in the 10-20 degrees F. People mention that the jacket is "noisy" but it doesn't bother me. It swishes no louder than my north face rain jacket or Canada goose shelburne. I'm 5'6" and around 125-130lb and bought an XS. I usually wear a small in tops or coats but sized down based on reviews and it fits great. This was my first arc'teryx purchase and I bet it won't be my last

I bought this for my girlfriend for her cold weather activities such as hiking, walking the dog, cross country skiing and snowshoeing and the occasional trip to the brewery. She absolutely loves it and it's her go to jacket.

I've been wearing this jacket in our record setting minus 30 degree temperatures in Montana. It keeps me warm in the cold and blocks the wind. I also wear it for snowshoeing. It looks good and has become my go to winter jacket.
It has deep pockets and a front pocket for my cell phone.

All I asked for Christmas was this jacket and THANK GOODNESS. Its been so perfect for all my adventures so far! Through wind and rain in cold and shaded canyons , I've been as warm as can be. This is the first coat I've had where the pockets actually keep my hands warm. The insulation is just perfect. The neck zips up to just the right height for snuggling in to keep your face and neck warm as well as the sinch strings to add a little more! This is a forever jacket for sure. Perfect fit, perfect look, the best color, and perfect durability !

I've always worn HH but this year I decided to splurge. And I have no regrets. This coat is extremely warm, and very soft. The best part is the pockets and as we ladies know, we often don't get pockets.

Great weatherproof winter jacket. Keeps me warm and dry. Was a bit worried it'd be too long but length is good.

I bought this just over a month ago for my girlfriend, and it's great. She wears it for dog-walking in the Vancouver, and intends to wear it for the coming ski season. The mobility is great, it's super warm without being sweltering, and it's completely water-proof.

This jacket is nice and well made with many good features. But there are a few things that I question. I found the fit a little odd. It seems like there is a lot of extra space in the stomach area. So the jacket poofs out a bit there and it is unflattering. Not a big deal if ski layers are involved but it's weird for city wear. The material is warm and lightweight but very noisy and swishy for lack of a better term. There is no ski pass pocket which seems ridiculous. This is a small feature that would make it more versatile. It also has a two way zipper which I know a lot of people like, but they are fussy even if it's a great quality zipper. Overall it's a nice jacket but I'm not sure the targeted use. It's like a ski jacket that refuses to be a ski jacket. There are other really quality jackets out there that fit better for less money.

I bought this jacket after searching for the perfect ski jacket. While I love the color (lampyre) the zipper is a struggle every time. For reference, its not the side or chest zipper (those are easy and fast), but rather the main zipper. Its hard to get it to catch and takes multiple tries. When youre skiing and in the elements you just want your stuff to work the first time.

I bought this jacket last month and am quite disappointed. The double zipper doesnt work properly. I have to wrestle with it every single time. Also, the zippered air vents under the arms cause discomfort whenever I swing my arms- even when just walking. Would not recommend.
