The Lightweight Atom is a perfect stand alone jacket for spring and fall days and will layer nicely with a shell in the winter. I also wear it on cool, summer evenings.

I love these jackets so much, they are light weight, colorful, and keep you warm. I wear them to work, hiking, snowboarding (as a mid layer when it's cold, or on its own when it's warmer) I actually have 2 of these Atom jackets, one with the hoodie, one without. Love them both.

I bought this jacket a few months ago and every time I put it on I am impressed with the fit and comfort this jacket provides.

I got this jacket a couple of month ago since I wanted a black jacket for work. It is functional, but looks great as well.

I love this jacket, its warm, but breathable and lightweight enough for exertion (i.e. touring, cross country skiing etc.) I use it all winter and then it becomes a spring and fall staple as well since it's lightweight enough for spring/fall nights. I also have the LT version for warmer days and/or activities that are very active in the winter (I run hot) where I don't want as much insulation.

This jacket looks good no matter what you wear under or over it. The layering capabilities are what really make it a standout. Underneath a waterproof shell or wool overshirt you're set for any weather condition. Over top of a long or short sleeve shirt you've got a remarkably sleek fit that provides warmth on the front and back with a little stretch and ventilation on the sides to make sure you never get clammy. I love them (I have two) and consider them essential wardrobe pieces for home and travel.

I love this jacket. Perfect insulator under a shell but also cosy for cooler days as a standalone jacket.

Big fan of the atom and have the jacket in several colors. Lightweight, easy to pack up, great for outdoors (hiking, cycling, climbing, camping) or wearing around the City. Not bulky so perfect for styling and layering. Smoke Bluff color is a medium beige and a perfect neutral.

I bought a previous version of this jacket like 8 years ago and I loved to wear it all year round! It's comfy and not too warm for chilly summer nights, great to wear on its own in spring and autumn and a superb base layer in winter underneath a waterproof jacket. I had the version with a hood all those years and now decided to pick the one without a hood. It might be useful for some because it is slim and really warm, but because of my hairstyle I hardly used it. So now I purchased the version without a hood and will wear a beanie when needed. I'm 1,56 m tall and the arm sleeves are a little too long for me. Also the space around the chest is a little to small for my bosom. But the lightweight material balances the fit of the jacket quite well. This jacket is quite pricey, but for me it's totally worth it.

My favourite thing to wear basically everyday in fall and winter. Light enough to use as an insulated hoody and warm enough to where in winter on a day when you don't want to wear a parka!

I have used this for running for about a month now. NYC is having a mild winter but this has been great throughout including the very cold days. Wonderful for layering. Excellent wind blocking super packable. Not at all bulky and moves well.

I am happy with this purchase - the stretch in the cuffs, the sinch cord at the bottom, the higher neck for those chillier winter walks ..... I went with XL @ just under 200 lbs and I am really happy with it's layering capabilities. It works great with FRAME merino LS then Momenta LS pullover. I'd love this in a deep purple !

I would love to keep this jacket, but I agree with the reviewer that said the Medium was slightly too small but the Large was way too big. Even if you look at the sizing chart, you can see the difference in size between small and medium is two inches at the chest, but three inches between medium and large. What gives?

This is my 2nd Atom LT. The 1st one was made smaller but the quality was much higher. The material in the new one is cheaper and they use stitching for name that is unraveling, the older version had a reflective nametag. I initially thought I purchased a fake.

I like the fit of the jacket and the color but the collar was uncomfortable so I'm returning and will try to find the version with a hood.

Falls between two stools- large is a nice fit and flattering in the body (40 inch chest & hips), though sleeves are far too bulky. It would fit under a raincoat or heavier outer layer- in which case why have such a high collar and bulky sleeves. If worn on its own I don't get the stretchy, non-insulated side panels. I'd prefer this with a lower collar like the men's, same construction throughout, and slimmer sleeves. For this price it has to be perfect. And must you have the prominent logo?

I have three of these and they're fine but just too short for my liking - I'm tall, but not that tall (5'9.5"). It's not so much that I dislike the look of this length, but I just wish there was a little more clearance when I have layers underneath. E.g., I have to tuck in my base layer, or else it sticks out the bottom. My other frustration is that the smaller sizes have shorter lengths - if I was an XL, the length would be fine. Why does Arc'teryx assume that taller people are also bigger? Us taller thinner ladies are stuck with things that are too short. It's frustrating. Also, I really dislike the colour selection this fall season. Where are the rich, bright colours?

I have several Atom hoody's dating from 2013 to 2019 as well as an SL all in Large. I wanted a jacked without the hood and ordered my same size based on the statement that this was a revised fit, designed to fit closer to the body, trim fit etc. This is huge, especially the arms. Additionally, the collar comes up over my chin. I wear a Medium in some Arc jackets but the Atom has consistently previously fit well as a Large. Am very disappointed and am reluctant to shop knowing that I can't count on consistent sizing. Besides quality that was one of the appealing things about Arcteryx.

The fit is really odd. I do crossfit and don't really have a curvy figure. However, with M, it fits the shoulder and waist, and too tight on chest that I can zip up but movements are restricted. With L, if fits the chest but the shoulder/waist section is way too big. Arcteryx is supposed to be for atheltic build, and lots like it is for stick figures?

Zipper is defective. It get stuck in multiple areas near the top. Additionally I am able to unzip the jacket by gently pulling outwards on the collar; this shouldn't happen. Very frustrating to pay this price and receive a defective jacket. Reached out to customer service who wasn't very helpful and submitted a customer service product request. Hopefully the latter will be able to assist me properly. Quality control is lacking. Not sure if I could recommend this jacket. Unfortunately, I probably won't be buying from them again.
