These are my favorite UGG slippers yet! I like style of the high platform Funkettes, too. I have the Rock Rose (very hot pink) and Chestnut too, but this time I ordered Papaya and they’re my favorites. I wrote that they’re true to size because they’re the exact size I ordered, which was 5 (Women’s 6 1/2-7). They seem a tad shorter than my Women’s 7s, but my feet stay on…no heel overhang. Otherwise, identical besides the platform height. I usually wear an 8 Ugg boot and an 8-9 shoe. My feet are short and wide at the toe, so the Ugg slippers in 8 don’t stay on without socks. The strap is too long for shorter feet. This is no problem in the Funkette 5s (7s). The sheepskin clog toe has a lot of stretch to it. My 8s never stretch out too much. They seem to conform to your feet. This is why Ugg sheepskin is so great for my bunions (a bone deformity that causes wider toes). I got a men’s Ugg slipper for my partner, who has hammer toes, and he loves them despite initial reservations about the look. The lining is thick and cozy. I got the kid’s because the women’s Papaya has a very light colored outsole in the same material as my pastel and white Pride slides. In a climate with a lot of precipitation, they get dirty and it doesn’t come off completely. The kid’s Papaya has only bright orange stripes on the outsole, not the pastel to off-white gradient stripes on the women’s. I worry that the fur will get dirty as it’s closer to the ground, but it’s ok so far. An inch is still pretty high. They absorb shock well. My only complaint is they arrived with deep scratches. None of my other Funkettes have scratches after 3 years of wear. It may be because of the plastic inserts to hold their shape. They have sharp edges, and aren’t necessary because Funkettes don’t crease or lose their shape. There were small pieces of cardboard in the box with sharp edges, too. I didn’t exchange them because I ordered this color late so I don’t know if the rest of the lot are any better, and could be worse. There is a lighter color underneath, so the scratches are obvious. I would have given 5 stars if they were not damaged. These are my favorite shoes and I wear them wherever I can get away with it! They are comfortable, and a cheerful color. The upper is a little darker orange than the fur. The upper looks more like the ad image of the women’s Papaya Funkette. It’s a beautiful contrast, and high quality fur. The kid’s ad makes it look all one shade and more rounded, but the Big Kid’s upper is identical to the women’s. So if you’re a teen or adult, yes you can pull it off!

I am an adult but I ordered a 5 in Kids’ (I wear a 7 Women’s in Ugg sandal/slide shoes with straps). The fit is perfect. They feel maybe a tad shorter than the Women’s 7 but that’s ok because my feet are short with wider toes. I ordered in Kids’ because I didn’t like how the adult shoe in Papaya has such a light colored sole and outsole. Where I live, there is a good amount of precipitation (Midwest). I ordered platforms (Pastel Pride Slides) with a light sole just once. They looked dirty very quickly and don’t clean up well. Only the style with the buckle has an outsole that doesn’t stain. Papaya is my favorite color Funkette, so far. The orange sheepskin is a little darker than the fur, with a lighter burnt orange tinge…a good color for adults, as well as kids. The color is just like the adult shoe image except the outsole is just the top 3 colors on the women’s shoe. I do worry that the fur and trim are a little closer to the ground and could get dirty if I’m not careful, but I think they will be ok. The platform is still for an outside shoe but they are cozy enough to wear indoors, more so than the women’s because I don’t have to worry about tripping on something in the house. I was really disappointed because the sheepskin upper had deep scratches on it and is lighter underneath so they are visible. I think it’s from the sharp edges on the plastic they put in so they hold their shape. My Rock Rose and Chestnut Funkettes have never lost their shape so the plastic is not necessary. Not even after being in a bag of Ugg sandals in my closet all Winter. I do pull them out to wear them sometimes because they are warm, but I wear them out only and we get snow. I hope Ugg or Zappos will stop putting the plastic in them. Mine have never got marked up at home, and I’ve had them for a few years. I own about 15 pair of Ugg sandal shoes and slides, and the Papaya Kid’s’ Funkette is my favorite. I was going to get the Women’s too, but I don’t think I will because I figure they’re all likely to be scratched because I was late to find this color. That’s why I didn’t return them. The next pair may be worse. That’s why I only gave 4 stars. If you are shopping for a child and deciding between these and the less expensive shoe that looks similar, these will definitely stay clean longer because of the 1” sole.

Fit is normal, but the kids version are much lower than pictured. They are only a one inch sole and not the stacked sole like the adult version. Not as pictured. My daughter is a size 8 womens and can wear a big kid size 6 in uggs, so I ordered the kids version since the picture was the same for the big kid version, but the shoes are not the same.
