The Velcro strap at the top is not long enough to close. They easily could have added an additional 1” of Velcro for it to reach but seems like a product defect. A child would have to have the ankle size of a doll for the strap to reach.

My son loved the way these shoes looked and felt. The problem is that velcro is not long enough for a wide shoe. It doesn't even reach the other side of the shoe to velcro so it won't "close". Unfortunately, they will have to be returned.

Super cute shoes, but the velcro barely reaches across to close? Has never been an issue with any other shoes, my son has normal width feet. I think eventually the velcro will stop adhering because it doesn't cover enough to properly latch. Disappointed

I loved the shoe, but when I tried it on my son, the strap was not long enough to go across and stay closed. He has a wide foot, so this was an issue and I have to return them for another pair.

Fit is awesome. My kiddo has a ridiculously wide foot and says these feel great. We didn't have any issues with the velcro strap being too long BUT, the velcro has completely worn out in just 3 months. Shoes still fit and are in good shape otherwise, but they won't stay strapped on. I've tried picking all the crud out of the velcro--this doesn't seem to be the issue. It's the loopy fabric part that no longer wants to connect to the velcro hooks.

bad velcro hold. lasted 3 months. finding all the new velcro is not lasting.

straps don't hold. otherwise shoe is a good shoe. will have to replace.

Perfect shoes for 5yo!

6 year old loves them. Says they are very comfortable and make him run fast.

My son has a hard time finding shoes that are wide enough for his foot, especially across the middle of his foot. These work great for him!

They are super comfy, and approved from 7 years old boy! He said they are comfortable and they run fast ;-)

My 5 year old absolutely loves these. We have only had them a few days so we’ll see how they hold up. But he swears they make him run faster.

The shoe was a little difficult to put on given it was a Wide shoe. It is super cute, I love the purple color. The only negative, is that the velcro tab you use over the top of the shoe to keep the foot in, is too short (in my opinion).

Velcro does not do a good job holding in place. Shoes are already falling apart after a few months.

Makes my sons feet stink so bad! Will stick with Saucony but I wish they had better colors.

My son always wears New Balance and these 2.5 fit him smaller than his current size 2. These run narrow (and he has fairly narrow feet). The velcro strap is fixed - it doesn't run through a loop so it is not adjustable and it is very short and couldn't reach to secure the shoe. I love New Balance but these specific shoes I don't recommend.

The velcro band is way too short. It doesn't stay latched and pops off. Have not seen this with other shoes from this brand or other bands.
