Lots of room in the toe box; so much, in fact, that if you don't have really wide feet you could potentially go down 1/2 size. For me I took my normal shoe size and it was very good, though a bit roomier than I would like in the heel. I've taken this out on a couple of hikes on snow and ice and it performed very well. Good to very good traction on packed snow, and handles micro spikes/snowshoes well. Was very comfortable down to 10F temps with a pair of Darn Tough socks. I was standing still at the summit of an NH 4k for 45 minutes and my feet didn't get cold, but they were somewhat cool. I would probably opt for something warmer with a higher shaft if the temperatures were below 0F

I have a great problem with the plastic heal cup insert that apparently hits the inside and outside ankle bones on both feet. I has led me to try deforming this hard support by clamping them in a vice. I am having some success, but I think this is a losing battle. I should have spent more time trying the shoes inside the house. I was so carried away with the comfort of the toe box, footbed and arch that I was too quick to declare them proper fit. I may have to give up and donate these to charity.

My feet were scanned as US 7.1 2E EU 39.2 3E UK 6.5 G - so pretty wide. In the winter months I get a bunion flare up on my right foot and I walk around in misery. After going through some other brands and the wrong sizes I got these in 7.5 and they fit great. Truly warm and spacious. A true winter boot to protect my feet. I tested them on a 8 mile hike in 8 inches of snow and some stream crossings and my feet stayed warm and dry. My only ding is they are a little clunky in overall size and the cushioning is a little harder than I'd like. It took a little adjusting to walk in these. Overall a solid purchase :) I marked these as run wide. For me this is good thing. They fit my 2E feet so not a problem that these aren't offered in an official wide size like the non polar version of this boot.

I have not had a lot of trek time in my new Keen Circadia Polar boots, but I can tell you that they are very comfortable, light on the foot, and have great grip as I walk around our small woodland property. Best of all - the laces - which are a reinvention of something old. They stay tied! No tripping on laces that come undone.

Really love this product, good fit, keeps my feet warm and the have good traction. My only complaint would be that they are a little stiff, hoping this will work itself out as I wear them more.

I am a professional CDL large-vehicle driver. These boots/shoes were not suitable for my needs. The sole was slippery and not a brand name like Vibram. More critically, the nose of the boot width was so wide, it interfered with my brake/accelerator pedal selection. First time ever had this problem.
