I got this as a gift because I wore my other one out after 5 years full timing it on the road. The neck, or collar is hideous on this new version. Why so high? I donated mine to the thrift shop.

I really dislike the new redesign because the collar is too tall, stiff, and gaping, and therefore not functional for activities like running (the top of the collar was constantly grazing the front of my chin.) It seems like this design choice was made solely for aesthetic reasons, since the men's vest doesn't feature a strange gaping collar like this. Returned promptly, but wish that Arc'teryx carried a lightweight insulated vest for women with a functional collar.

I just ordered the revised Atom vest because I love and wear my older Atom LT vest for most of the year and wanted a second one. However, I am returning the recently purchased revised Atom vest. The quality and fit are wonderful but I do not like the floppy tall collar.

I LOVE MY ATOM JACKET SO DECIDED TO GET ANOTHER ONE. HOWEVER ARCTERYX HAS REDESIGNED IT. UNFORTUNATELY THIS NEW VERSION IS RATHER DISAPPOINTING. JUST LIKE OTHER REVIEWERS, I FOUND THE COLLAR IS RIDICULOUSLY TALL WHICH IS THE ULTIMATE TURNOFF.

After wearing for 1 season, the back outer fabric is damaged: puckering and pilling. Simply from wearing a backpack to and from campus. This should not happen. It's a 2020 model in the beautiful blue color, which is not replaceable. I'd love to get it warrantied but the current colors are unimaginative.
