Great layering option but also warm on its own for dry, cold weather. The waist is tight compared to the fit of the rest of the jacket with 0 stretch. Also don't love the stash bag in the breast pocket where you can pack the coat into. It makes putting anything in and taking things out clumsy especially with gloves on because the bag takes up half of the pocket unnecessarily. I'm used to the pocket itself being the stash bag and much prefer that design. As others have said, I wish they made the fabric less transparent as the darker feathers are very visible. Otherwise a great piece to have on hand!

The Cerium keeps me warm in the alpine, on windy and cold adventures. It's light, very warm and stylish. It packs away easily and tightly when its not needed. I love the Lampyre color, it's lit!

"Groovie" colour showed pink on monitor, but definitely purple in real life. Size at waist was too narrow for my liking, and didn't love the colour, so I returned. Seemed like it would have been a good coat for intended about town, hiking, additional layer when spectating.

This is my third Cerium Hoody so I like it. Great for layering in winter and for shoulder seasons on its own. Only downside are the zippers. Good quality zippers would make a very good jacket even better.

The white fabric was so transparent that the dark colored duck feathers looked like stains. It didn't look like pure white as the photo. Also the jacket runs short. I was disappointed in the quality for it's price. I will return.

I have this jacket in another color and prefer that one. For some reason the fabric feels extra plasticky on this one and the color is less marigold and a little more emergency roadside cone in person. I will keep the other jacket and return this one.

Excellent quality as always- but the sizing, proportions on coat seem to be off. I Have owned many Arcteryx items for over twenty years. The area around the neck zip up is too large for me.

Bought this coat last year based on the amazing reviews. Being an outdoor person this coat fits all my needs. The only reason I didn't have it a 5star review is due to the tightness in the shoulder/armpit/chest area. I do not have a big chest but I believe the tightness is caused by my wide shoulders. It didn't matter if I sized up from a Small to a Large, the coat in L still was tight across my chest. It was a bit surprising to me as I associate this brand to a climbing interest people which should have wide shoulders. Too bad for me but this coat would be great for people with no wide chest/shoulders. Can't wait to try the revised version!

I bought this jacket as a layer to go under the Beta AR. Good points: layers nicely under the shell Beta AR, hood nests decently well with Beta AR, lightweight and warm, nice piece for spring and fall on its own. Could improve: not loving the quality of the zippers for a piece at this price, fits pretty trim so best to try it on in person if you can.

Love the jacket, but the fit is not quite right. My measurements are spot on to the size chart, but the shoulder and chest is pretty snug with just a base layer. Would be fine if I only planned to use this for travel in car, but would be restrictive for activities. I'm returning for the next size up in hopes that it has more room in the chest but not too much in the hips. Otherwise I loved it, super warm and good length. Minor issue with return option not showing in account for full price / this season jacket, but this was quickly addressed by the customer service team.

I bought this coat online about a month ago and I love the color and the how warm it is. The only thing that seems a little off is the zipper and the collar. The zipper is very small and not very smooth at the bottom. You can see in the photo how the collar is stiff and hits me in the cheek when it isn't zipped up all of the way. I wish it would fold down and I am hoping it will soften with time.

Great jacket, but a bit smaller in size than other Arc'teryx jackets. I'm a S and would go for M in this one as it is a bit tight over shoulders. I got a climbers back

The jacket fits me well but the colour of Ephemera appears to be a bit more red than on the web site. In reality it is orange. So I will drive downtown to exchange it. I won't order online anymore

I bought this jacket in December as I needed a new mid layer for skiing. It was super warm and packed down easily. Only lost one star as you could see the dark coloured down through the material, but 5/5 in function

I've had this jacket for about 6 months and haven't had major issues. It fits well and is really warm. When it's raining, I always wear a Goretex rain jacket. My only comment is that the brown feathers showing through the bright coloured jacket makes it look dirty and mottled. It's most obvious around creases (elbows and armpits). At first, I thought it was actually dirt and did a thorough clean (followed the instructions arc'teryx put out for washing down). When the jacket looked essentially the same after the wash, I realized it was probably something else and it looks to be a common issue with the dark feathers. If you want a lighter colour, pause and decide how much you care about this since you are dishing out a lot of money.

As a 5ft11 female with an athletic build, I have to wear a Men's S in order to fit my arms. I'd love to see more women's tall jackets that fit those of us with longer torso's and arms. Aside from fit, this jacket is a perfect layer to throw under my shell, and comfortable wearing on its own for added warmth on dry days.

Got it when Sporting Life had it onsale during Lockdown. Super light and warm, nice cut on the waist. Usually wear S for Arc'teryx dress and sweaters, need M for this jacket, S still fits but won't be enough room for sweaters. As some of the reviews metioned, has down feathers come out, yes, I do see some tinny feathers flying, but not a lot.

I've had my Cerium jacket for a couple of months now. It's great -- super light and compact, comfortable, and warm. I have been wearing it as a jacket, haven't yet used it as a mid-layer so can't speak to that, but on it's own, it's a good winter coat. I have the nighthawk -- it's a nice navy with orange trim. Subtle yet on point. They have quite a fitted cut, so they fit snug - just a warning. If you're looking for a down sweater, this is a great option.

I bought this as a treat for the coming winter. I have worn it twice and already the zip is sticking and is difficult to do up and release. It's a cheap and flimsy zip and is unlikely to last. I would not recommend this coat the zip will be lucky to last beyond Xmas and given its cost!

I liked the fit and material, but I hope they start using a lighter colored down fill or make the fabric more opaque. The splotches from the feathers in the front wasn’t too bad, but the sleeves were so dark, it looked like I rubbed my upper arms against dusty walls. Loved the color, and sad to return.

Incredibly warm, but faulty zipper. Quite disappointed on the zipper quality considering the price. The zipper has already split multiple times and I've only had the jacket for a few weeks. Happy that the jacket has kept me very warm on recent cold days (-25C).
