I have had these hiking boots for about 4 months now and I love them! I usually hike in trail runners because they are lightweight and agile, but I want to find something with more ankle support while still maintaining a lightweight design. These boots are perfect for that! They are lightweight, comfortable, and sturdy. I have been using them on all of my hikes since I have gotten them. They did great in the mountains, along the coast, and in the desert.

I stumbled upon the Aerios Mid while browsing for hiking shoes (not boots). I've never considered Arc'teryx for shoes but now won't use any other brands. My first hike with a brand new pair in Alpine Rose was 7 miles, 1.7k ft elevation in heavy mist. I was a bit wet and cold but my feet were perfectly dry and protected. I did have to downsize by 1/2 size but felt like these shoes were custom made for me. The soft pink makes me smile every time I look down at my feet.I know it's not the most practical color for hiking but stands out among other neutral color hiking shoes. If Arc'teryx ever discontinue this color please warn me so I can buy all your 6.5 inventory. LOL!

These boots are great looking, supper comphy with no break in and very lightweight while being water proof. My only disappointment is that I purchased my usual size which is an Ordered an 8.5 which is my size and they were too big. Returned and got an 8. After two hikes, realizing that they are still a little too big. Since I have worn them now I can not return them. Not sure if I was accidentally sent mens shoes or they just run way bigger. I will now have to try to sell these slightly used and get a new pair. Pretty inconvenient.

I loved the shoe, however the sizing was way off and I eventually gave up trying to find the correct size. Normally I am a size 9.5 or 10. The Aerios 8.5 would have fit maybe, but the store didn't have it in stock and I lost patience. All other features of the shoe are fantastic.

These are my second pairs of Aerios Mid GTX shoes, I have my first pair Aerios Mid GTX shoes in other color two years ago, I really like them. Purchased this new Aerios FL 2 three weeks ago as my expected they are very comfortable, light weight, nice stylish. I wore they in day hiking, and daily walk in fall, winter, and spring seasons in northeast of American. They are one of my favor shoes.

these boots are impressive. they fit so well and hug my foot just under the ankle bone giving stability while remaining flexible across the toes. the waterproofing is solid and the soles are super grippy on gravel and dirt. its the perfect light-weight hiking/walking boot. id recommend these boots for Spring Summer and Fall. theyre a bit too thin for winter.

After some deliberation about size, comparing other gortex shoes to the Aerios by Arc'teryx, I decided on the 8.5 - normally a 9 - 9.5 US. After exchanging the size there were a few areas as pictured that weren't as well crafted.

Pros
- SUPER lightweight. Shockingly so.
- 100% water proof. Great for snow, slush and rain.
- Great grip. Best I've had on a trail shoe yet.
- Great, roomy toe box. Very hard to find. Exactly what I want.
Cons
- Terrible fit. Sized down from my typical 9 to an 8 and my feet are still swimming in them. Heel slip is bad. They don't stay put.
- Sole is too stiff for my liking. Feels like a mountaineering sole on a light running shoe. For myself, the looseness and poor fit leads to poor mechanics and subsequently foot pain.
- Worst laces I've ever had on a shoe. Truly. They come undone all the time even with double knots. You have to crank them super tight. How these shipped with the shoe is beyond me. Pretty unacceptable for the price.
If they fit right and the sole was more pliable this would be the best winter shoe around.
