I have very troubled feet with several surgeries on both feet per arches work as a nurse on a very hard floor cement base under tile for many hours every day 4-5 days a week
I also have hammer toes I have never found a shoe that has worked so well these are incredible and make my life so much easier and more comfortable. I would recommend the shoes to anyone who has trouble with her feet and has to be on their feet for many many hours a day the
cushion is incredible. I have tried many other altras these are the best this far. I have put on what I would be sure is hundreds and hundreds of miles on hard floors as long as I wear them and as many miles as I put on a day at my job they have never shown any signs of wear any of them I have never had an issue with anything falling apart.

I bought the Olympus 5 shoes in an 11.5, this was after I completely wore out my Lone peak 5. The shoes fit great and felt great to run with on trails. The sole started to delaminate a little bit, I sent pictures to the team at Altra, and they were super easy to work with and got me a new pair of shoes very fast.

I use these for walking and hiking. Absolutely love the cushioning and the colors are pretty spiffy. I'll definitely get more of these

Ankle surgeries and picky feet over the years. These are well cushioned and comfortable. Bagged a 14er in them and traction was excellent up and down. No slips. First pair of Altras and I'll buy again!

These have been awesome shoes for me. All the overwhelming negative reviews almost kept me away but I gave them a try and am glad I did. I don't run (the horror) but I hike a ton and am generally very hard on my shoes. These have stood up great so far in the first few months. Granted at this price if they don't last well into next year I won't be buying more.

I use these for hiking and fast walking. I wear a size 15 and it's the perfect shoe for me. I love the room in the toebox and of course the zero drop. I am on my 4th pair and wore the first while hiking the Camino from Porto to Santiago in 2019. Always find it odd that some folks write nasty reviews. Not necessary from my point of view.

At the end of a long hike I'm the only one in our group that feels like they are walking on clouds. These are extremely comfortable. Mud washes out great.

I bought my first pair of Altra's last year. The woman's Lone Peak 6. They fit well, but not much cushion. None the less they worked well with trailsand shorter distance.
This year I tried on a few styles and fell in love with the men's Olympus 5. Much more cushion and fit like a glove. So lightI love that about these shoes.
I wore them on my first trail and was pleasantly surprised. I didn't have to adjust anything. The support was great. The traction was even better. I have had 7 knee surgeries so my knees need stability on loose ground. These did the trick and made my hike stress free.
I don't believe in 'breaking' in shoes. If they don't feel exactly right in the store, then keep shopping. I'm glad I did. Of course these were the only ones that weren't on saleno matter, they fit perfect. You can't put a price on that.
I am sold on the Altra's. Having a wider footand knees that I need to work with. These make it so I can keep doing trails with a peace of mind.
I would recommend them!

Love this shoe and design / look. I am transitioning slowly to the zero drop platform. This shoe seems well built and has great cushioning. Any zero drop transitions transitioning welcome.

Everyone has their own unique feet, but for me, these are absolutely perfect. My favorite trail shoes I've tried so far. I've done section hikes of the JMT, along with several other hikes in California, but also put in a ton of miles in the mountains of western NC. I've never had foot pain, the shoes have held up great, and they're still going. The grip is great for hiking, trail runs and fast packing. A few things of note, the laces are a bit short and can sometimes lose grip regardless of how hard you tighten them. Also, I have the gray/green (love the color), but they get dirty immediately and stay that way. I like this colorway, but Altras colors always seemed a little childish to me. Would like to see more tasteful color options in general throughout Altras shoe line.

Having purchased Lone Peaks, they always fit strangely for me - feeling "sloppy" for lack of a better term. Actually caused blisters in the 5s. When I discovered the Olympus, decided to give it a shot and really happy I did. This shoe fits me really well, though I wish the laces were longer - they're comically too short when creating a heel lock; this is odd because the eyelets are included for doing just that. Besides that issue, the Olympus gives me - being a bigger/heavier runner - a plush ride while feeling locked in and sure-footed on the trails.

The Timp 1.5 was my former favorite Altra shoe. The Olympus 5 is my new favorite (size 8). I've mostly run in Timps and Lone Peaks. Tried the Olympus 4 and it was too clunky. The Olympus 5 feels nearly as nimble as most Timps I've had. No wear issues with Altras. I wear a 7.5 in the Lone Peak and size 8 in the Timp and Olympus. The Timp 4 is a touch big for me in size 8.

I was worried coming from brooks catamount/cascadia that the zero drop would cause problems, but I was able to hop into an ultra with only the usual break in time. Beyond that I was impressed with the grip these shoes provide. I was climbing slick rock in the pouring rain after forty miles and these held fast when other peoples' shoes started to slip. The only downside I noticed is the lack of water resistance, though that's not what I bought these for anyhow.

I have just purchased my second pair of OLYPUS 4 trail shoes (from a reseller). If I can keep buying the OLYMPUS 4 version, I will keep buying them in the future, but I will not be trying the OLYMPUS 5 because it seems to be a degraded version of your 4. Please restore and maintain your former reputation.

I did find these to run a half size small, I usually wear a 10.5 but needed an 11. These shoes feel like a glove and are very comfortable for running. I will take them hiking next week and expect nothing less. These feel just a little firmer than my Bondi 7 but I would say they are similar. I did speak to Altra's customer service team and always recevied a quick and courteous reponse! I would recommend the shoes and the company!
