Haven't used these shoes for their intended purpose (trail running, hiking etc) but I bought them for my foot pain. They are extremely comfortable straight out of the box! Most salomon run narrow so I'm glad they are starting to make wider shoes, just wish the wider were available in more colors.

I have used Salomon Speedcross shoes now for many many years and they are simply the best trail running shoes ever. I have used them for local forest + field trail running and also for heavy duty ultra mountain marathons and they are brilliant. I would agree that the only negatives would be that the lace system can come a bit loose (but easily tightened again) but my main concern is that the size of the Speedcross has increased over the last 2 versions. They used to be a great fit but not feel a little loose in the front foot area. Still a great Trail Running Shoe

This my third review. This one was specifically requested by Solomon. I only wear this shoe for orienteering and by now I have participated in many orienteering meets (some more successful than others but that's on me). I usually run/walk the Brown Course (around 4-kms+/- with about 100-meters of climb). I've orienteered on all types of terrain: bad trails, good trails, through marshes, rocky ground, crossed streams, wet ground, muddy ground, clamberred up and down hillsides, etc. And, I still finish - the Speedcross 6 help a lot! The lugs are at the right depth and correctly spaced. My only issue with the shoe is that I wish that the heel cup was leather lined. After I finish a meet, my heels are very tender and on the verge of blisters! A leather-lined heel cup would go a long way to eliminate the friction between the heel -sock-heel cup! Just a thought! I like 'em!

Great pair of shoes. I highly recommend them. Very comfortable for everyday use.

On my 8th pair of Speedcross and just got the new 6. Always been a great fit and nearly 0 break in period.

My foot felt great after a 15-mile backpack that included some running. Plenty wide for my foot. Great grip, too. I measure an 8 1/2. I bought a 9 1/2 (as always I do.) With the nifty laces done up right, these fit perfect. I switched from Altra Lone Peak 4's, which are wide and I know are the PCT shoe of choice, but I found they inflamed my plantar fasciitis and found them to be crap for grip. I think the one size up would be good even on long stupid steep descents that have blackened nails in other shoes. I wish the grey had been available. Otherwise, these are great for me. r

This is my 8th pair of trail runners. Extremely satisfied. Great grip , very comfortable and high quality craftsmanship. What's not to like

I was lucky enough to trial this shoe in Annecy over varied terrain in wet weather. Straight out of the box the shoe fits well, with a very accommodating fit without feeling loose. The material in the toe box is extremely flexible but remains protective against roots and rocks. As you would expect from the speedcross the sole is super protective and grips in all conditions; I took these on clay, grass, mud, sand, smooth rock, and shingle all in wet conditions and with varying accents and descents and it outperformed any other shoe I have worn! As someone with neutral feelings on the speedcross 5, I would wholeheartedly recommend the 6 for short to mid distance off road runs where grip on difficult/technical terrain is a priority. I normally go up half a size in Salomon shoes and I would say this shoe is no different; although the accommodating toe box may see some runners sticking true to normal size. Fantastic shoe, and a notable improvement over the 5; Excited to see where Salomon could go from here!

Started off with the speedcross 2 and was pleased with the product. I put a lot of miles on my shoes and had to replace them due to the stitching. The product gradually improved to the point of I didn't have to replace after I bought the 5s. The 6 is even better than the 5s. I love the comfort and durability of these, so far. Would highly recommend. Will be purchasing another pair shortly.

I didn't think the Speedcross 5 could be outdone. Well, they did. If you don't own a pair, rectify your ignorance.

I havent run in a Speedcross in a long time, and these are sick! They are lighter and feel more dynamic. I was a Speedcross 3 fan, and am back wearing Speedcross. Light and fast with the best grip. They look cool too, I like the modern styling. I'm surprised the fit is improved too. I can wear these on the trails but also around town too. They stand out in a lot of way!

I have worn the speedcross for 2 years now and absolutely love them. The laces are super quick and the sole grip is steady in any terrain. After putting hundreds of miles on these shoes I am ready for the new model with goretex. I do suggest getting one half size bigger, especially for downhill terrain!

I have worn Salomon shoes for years. I started with the XA Pro 3D Trail running shoe and recently purchased the Speedcross 6 series. and Love the new shoe. It's light has great traction and support. Will buy again repeatedly. Thank you

Like the Speedcross editions before it, the Speedcross 6 is perfection.

I had the speed cross 6 regular which is fine, but these Wides are Upgrade in comfort and room.

Not for city usage but amazing on trails if youre a hiker

Ive been purchasing nothing but Salomon shoes for about 15 years. All great, but the Speedcross 6 are by far my favorite. Super comfortable and supportive. I just wish the soles lasted longer because the rest of the shoe will last forever.

Ran 25 miles over a weekend in these shoes and they held up great. They dry fast and stayed comfortable throughout.

Bought these for my coworker and he loves them just as much as I love mine. These are the best shoes.
