Absolutely a great shoe, but the rubber cleats wear off way to quickly. Has to be a better, more durable rubber/plastic cleat for these shoes. I want to buy my 7th pair but i think you can fix this first!

I bought the speed cross 6s around 6 months ago and I wear them daily. Theyre great for trail running as well as everyday shoes

Fit great. Very comfortable to wear all day. Traction is great. They are not my daily shoe. Dislike how only after having them for a year the tread is wearing bald.

It would have been my third time to wear this pair. See, on my trail I need my soles to be real snug, cause Im bouncing, landing, covering rugged incline/decline terrain at rapid speeds. And uh, I dont like slippin. So I lace up by putting fingers under second or third lace crossing to sintch up the shoe around my toes then yank the laces to squeeze the top. Well the lace completely cut through the eye. This only being the third time I was wearing them. So disappointing cause they are so comfortable even breaking them in. So now I have to go through the hassle of sending them back and junk. Oh bother.

I wish the grey shoe was available in plain without the big letters on the front ..... sticking with Speedcross 5 ....

It has a hard enough bottom making for longer runs and less soreness. The grip is crazy. I almost returned because I thought the grip/cleat like design was overkill. My son talked me into just trying it anyway and w0w. It has the best of the xa pro for comfort hitting hard rocks and the grip of alpha cross for slippery rock surface and outstanding grip. This is most likely the pinnacle technical trail running shoe for all weather.
I rolled my ankles so many times on the alpha cross and the xa pro. Since having these Ive had very stable runs and no rolled ankles. I would not recommend these for street wear as it would be like walking around in cleats haha. I would also not recommend for flat trails with no intense terrain. But if you are strictly going for the hardest route and the most technical runs this would be the shoe for you. I have the goretex and the non goretex version and this will def be my go to trail running shoe from here on out.
I feel I have wider feet but went for the regular fit and they work really well. Super comfy and never sore. I did switch out the soles immediately though as the soles are not on par with the shoe itself. Switch out the soles right away and you have the sickest and most high performance trail running shoe on the market.
I like how the shoe lace system is not all fancy. Has the standard pull to tighten with no weird lacing like the xa pro. Doing the pages breaking now can get a new set of blades and have no issues.
All this run talk makes me want to go for a run now!

I am an ultramarathoner and this is hands down the best trail shoe I've ever worn. Unlike others, Salomon somehow managed to be sensitive to ground feel, while still having a rock plate that is not only flexible, but protects. I feel incredibly nimble in these and the traction is out of this world. I have ran steep downhills in solid mud, as well as up without slipping an inch. I have the goretex version for winter, and we have had a few days of 60 degrees F, and they were a bit warm. Will be getting the non gore tex version for summer. I have done creek crossings, completely soaking both feet, and ran 10 miles afterwards with no issues. I was a little worried about them draining out, but the water disapated quickly. They are not good for pavement, pretty stiff and even a little wobbly underfoot. Upon the trails however, it's like running in a waterproof sock. The word dancing comes to mind. Truly a wonderful shoe. Don't change anything for the 7!!!!

Great shoe, for fit, right out of the box. Unfortunately, the sole material seems considerably less durable, compared to the Speedcross 4, and 5. Not getting the mileage out of the 6. Rock plate quality may also be an issue, or it could simply be the sole, but the sharp rocks seem to poke harder.

I have always been a happy Solomon customer, but am not so happy with this purchase.
The Speed Cross 6 seems to live up to Solomon, but had I known that I was going to be a walking/running advertisement when I wore them I never would have bought them.
They have Speed Cross 6 in very large letters covering the whole top of the shoe. I double checked the website to see if it was something that I overlooked, but didn't see any lettering in the pictures.
I don't want to complain, but this is something that I find bothersome about most items of quality today.
Again, I have been happy with every Solomon shoe I have purchased.
I like the shoe but don't like being a billboard.

I used these shoes to trail run in the Black Hills. The eyestay on the right foot near the throat broke after about 300 miles, which prevented a snug fit. I used them for another 100 miles, but it was not comfortable. Considering that I run in all weather, I was satisfied, but my speedcross 5s held up better.

This is my 6th pair of salomon speedcross shoes and I have no plans for buying any other shoe. I use them for everything from playing with my kids to climbing mountains. The debris mesh keeps most of the june grass seeds out of my socks. The quick lace makes this shoe a transformer. It goes from a causal shoe that goes one easy then you tighten the lace and you are ready for a 25 mile day in the backcountry.

I ordered the Black / Phantom version of this shoe.
They fit me great and they are extremely comfortable and practical. I have no complaints about the shoe itself or the way it performs.
However, be aware that, at least in my case, the product I received was not exactly as depicted by the pictures on the website. The pictures show the "Black / Phantom" version as having a solid black top. The shoes I received have the "Speedcross 6" stamped in huge letters across the entire shoe. - You would think it is not a great deal, but it effectively prevents me from wearing them in some circumstances.

The wide form factor is the best about the speedcross line. I don't understand why it's in such limited quantity.
The shoes are great but the laces don't last long...

The photos on the website show a blank, elegant, all black tongue. The actual shoe I received has giant, ugly typography that reads SPEEDCROSS 6 across the center of the tongue so incredibly ugly and NOT what the product photos show.

I've been trying to find the right daily active / training / leisure shoe and this is it. Wonderful design, aggressive yet subtle and most importantly, very comfortable. Wide fit is exactly what I needed for the ultimate comfort. I like the new lace system too.
