I have this, a Cerium SV, an Atom LT, and an Atom SL for my range of insulated jackets. The Cerium is great for near or below freezing temperatures if you won't be moving at all. It's really easy to overheat in this, so I highly suggest not having this if you plan to only wear it around the city. I'd say if you run hot, wear this only if it's freezing and windy if you're moving. I'd also bring this to switch out when your hikes keep you stationary in dry, freezing weather. The pockets are huge, so they can hold your phone easily, however, not really insulated, so you may want gloves if you aren't using some sort of warmers inside.

Bought this about a month ago, slim through the trunk. Worn it several times and it keeps me warm in very cold and windy days, no shell required if there is no rain

Light, warm and works great with my Beta AR shell. Few weeks ago, we had weather down to minus 44 Celsius and I just had the Cerium on, walking in town. Glad it has the hoody.

Keeps me perfectly warm at 0C with only a t-shirt underneath. Below that temperature, I would need a shirt and a sweater to go with the jacket. This jacket is really light and packable. Perfect for travel. My chest size is around 40-41 inches. The medium fits perfectly fine even with a shirt and sweater on.

The Cerium LT is very useful for fall and winter as either an outer layer or mid layer. For cold Canadian winters, I use this under another down jacket or shell like the Beta and it fairs well even at -20 to -30C conditions. Keeps me very toasty especially when indoors. The fit is true to size, I am around 180cm and a medium is the perfect length for me. Being able to pack it with the included bag is a nice addition when camping or for trips. As probably mentioned by many others, the other downside is the delicate material, which may be prone to damage if you stumble across tree branches and such. The zippers could be higher quality but it's understandable to keep the weight down.

Nice fit and very light. My first choice was thorium but the fit looks odd to me. I would love to see the cerium in 24k black

I'm a ski patroller and being on the mountain on a daily basis means we are always contending with changing weather. For those colder days this is perfect, I keep it in my patrol pack and usually put it on before we do our final sweep of the mountain. Arc'teryx is my favorite and it isn't a secret why, in two words quality and high performance. Is it cheap? No but it will last.

I will use this jacket as an around town coat, under my shell for skiing, and back country as an insulating layer. This is my second one.

I've been trying to get my hands on a Thorium AR in my size and was initially 100% set on it, with the restocking issues and winter around the corner I decided to research and explore the Cerium, and I can say I'm very happy I pulled the trigger and purchased it! Living in AB Canada we get dry cold weather down into the -40 some days and this jacket with a fleece or thick long sleeve is perfect for me as I overheat quite quickly, and you know Arcteryx jackets are ovens ! I had the chance to wear this during a week of -25 to -35 weather with some windchill, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with how warm it was! The jacket is a great fit for my body type, I purchased the Large as I would say I am an athletic build, 5' 11" and 200lbs with broader shoulders and bigger than average arms, so finding a jacket to fit my body type without being too big on the trunk and waist can be difficult, but the Cerium is nicely tapered to avoid this problem and doesn't let cold up my back or around my waist. The quality of the jacket is great, it's not too puffy, it fits tight to the body, the hood is snug and cozy, and I'm a big fan of the huge pockets, the jacket comes with a pack sack and packs down surprisingly small. I haven't had the chance to wash the jacket yet so I can't talk on that which I know people have had issues with. My only Con would be the jacket does feel like it's freezing or becomes more solid/crunchy in the below -30 range but that's expected, I don't think there's anyway to avoid that. Overall I'm really happy with the Cerium and I'm happy I purchased it, this jacket is warmer than my Atom AR by far and I would recommend this jacket for a stand alone jacket and a mid layer under a gore shell!

First coat I've bought on here and the quality is very good as expected. Wanted a coat for colder days around town (-10 to -20 Celsius) and seems perfect to pair with a base layer. Used the size guide before ordering and fits as should.

Wonderful down jacket and is pretty durable. The zipper would be my only complaint, especially if you don't catch it all the way and it unzips itself from the bottom. I think the jacket runs bigger than expected with your true size, especially in the mid-section. Great for fitting more layers, but too much space when you just have a t-shirt underneath. Also great to throw on top when belaying in the cold.

I like the coat however it has the smallest zipper known to man. It makes the coat harder to zip up quickly. Seems like I have to search and search to be able to get the zipper lined up. Overall fit is good does what it is supposed to do.

A good jacket but it's still fitted cut even though it says regular cut on the website.

It is my second coat of this type! I had another one and I really liked it! Only thing is the zipper is cheap! Also it is very compressible, ideal for plane travel! My previous one made a lot of travelling!

I did not expect to see what appear to be stains on the back of this jacket. I have two photos but one will not upload. The jacket would be perfect without what appear to be stains on the back. I will likely not wear it. If I viewed this product in the store, I wouldn't have purchased it.

Very nice dawn hoody, although I wish the zippers where of better quality at this price range, they seem fragile. Time will tell if they last. Bought a Large and it fits perfectly. Love it!

Ordered this jacket for my son for Xmas when it was on a Black Friday sale. Medium is normally the correct size for him but he needed a large in this Jacket. Tried to exchange it after the holiday but unfortunately learned they do not do exchanges and the only way to get him the coat in size large is to return the size medium coat for a refund and pay full price for a large. If I had known this I would have ordered a medium and large and returned the one that did not fit. Writing this review so hopefully others don't make the same mistake. Coat quality is good and I have one that I wear all the time so definitely recommend if you get the right size.

The zip is so so bad. How can you have better zips on your tote bags. This thing is a shocker and totally ruins what is otherwise a lovely puffer jacket. Stop cutting costs and add the old style zipper please

Purchased from the online outlet. The jacket itself is decent- well made and fits well. Problem is, I purchased in a light colour ("ether" ie a light blue) and the first time I wore it out, I realised it was covered in small, kind of greasy discoloured marks, like it had been handled by someone with greasy hands. I should NOT have to wash a new garment because it was sold me dirty. Because it is from the outlet, I can't return it. QC in the outlet needs to be improved...

Coreloft shoulders are nearly destroyed after a winter of use with backpack straps. Down could last a decade if cared for properly. Such a shame that an otherwise good jacket was made intentionally disposable. Would not recommend.

I received the Cerium Hoody in the Habitat color a couple of weeks ago and it appears that the down settles easy in the puffs and leaves large areas completely bare of any down. Not only is it frustrating because it doesn't function well, where the down fill has vacated, it looks like the jacket is stained. I have only worn this 5-10 time between work and home. I assume if I had gotten the black one, it probably wouldn't appear stained but would likely have the fill issue.
